My DC2 was born on 5th August and I'm up in the wee hours feeding away. Anyone else with their August babies care to join me?

I still can't believe he's here and in my arms!

Yay! He went shopping for me, so I can have a lazy day Grin

Hello

Lots to catch up on.

We are having a lovely time up north being fussed over by my mum and dad. Lots of cups of tea and bacon butties for breakfast. Thursday is going to be a reality check.

Frolic think you asked about clothes? I also really like bodens baby stuff but only buy second hand as v over priced. I think boots has some lovely stuff and much more reasonable. It's funny cause have never been a big shopper but love shopping for DS.

Ah fatty and Nolonger sorry to hear about your dogs. That is sad and must have been extra hard in pregnancy. We don't have any pets but love my parents dog. And thankfully DS seems completely unfazed by her. My nephew (nearly 3) adores her. It's so cute.

Question about infocoil - does anyone find it makes there baby spit up more? DS has never been a sickly baby but since we've been given infocoil he spits up loads. Coincidence or does it cause that?

DH and I are off for a date lunch in a bit. Is nearly our 1 year wedding anniversary so we are classing it as our anniversary celebration. Got to take advantage of grandma right?

A bit behind with this conversation but interesting reading how people feel about work. Am v surprised but haven't missed it at all. And when I went in to see everyone felt v detached from it all. Think it's cause I liked my job but it never felt like a career I loved. That and Im lazy Smile

Right I am off to put a none feeding top and some nice shoes on. Exciting!!

mzzzf · 13/10/2015 11:46

And Mugabe to you all too!! Grin

Please imagine me saying that in a booming Idi Amin voice!!

Not a total shit night, just exactly the same again. First half of the night until 1.45am - lovely! Second half after feed just bitty and crap - she doesn't seem to sleep as deeply and wakes frequently. I've tried ssshing her in her cot, putting the dummy back in and she'll calm down and try to sleep then have the most almighty startles (I like to think she's a king fu master in her dreams!) and wakes herself up again - grrrr! I'm at a loss as to what it is. But as soon as I give in a pick her up - boom! She's in a deep sleep!! I can't do more than I am so I'll just have to keep on keeping on, unless you guys have any ingenious ideas?

I have dribbled snot on my child's head today! Haha - payback!

The dog walker is coming today thankgod as all I want is trash TV, biscuits and someone to make me Brew Brew

mzzzf · 13/10/2015 11:49

Cross post with you kbro - yes to infacol making more mess! We ditched it as turns out her pain was reflux not colic. But it's a helluva lot of sugar in it and the 'active' ingredient isn't clinically proven to be effective in 2/3rds of babies...

Fanby · 13/10/2015 12:38

I frickin hate toothache dozy, hope it's not an infection x

Yay for DP fatty, enjoy your lazy day!

Clstow - that is a mega feed! How amazing, I dream of the day for one night feed. Grin

Oh enjoy your date Kbro!!! Have a fabulous time - I too love mini boden and boden for me lol Blush

Mzzzf that's a bugger about the sleep, random thought could you put a heat bag or hot water bottle in her bed when you do the first feed and take it out before she goes back? Could be heat related? Seriously though I have no idea HmmConfused

Frolicacid · 13/10/2015 12:43

Maybe every day should start with a Mugabe! No idea where it came from.

I hope piper is ok with the cold dozy.

Score on getting him to do the shopping fatty.

Your break sounds lovely kbro. Thanks for the clothes tips. I've not thought to look at Boden.
We've also wandered about infacol making ds pukey. But it did wanders for his colic. He's also still puking a bit since we've stopped using it. Who knows what does what!

Ds is the complete opposite of mini mzzf. Unsettled and grumpy until 1-2 am and then sleeps heavily. Can we combine them into the perfect baby do you think?

Have a nice afternoon everyone. It's lovely and sunny here so We're off to meet my childhood best friend and her babies at the beach. Happy days Smile

FattyNinjaOwl · 13/10/2015 12:55

Hope everyone else enjoys their day.
Hot water bottle in cot/crib wherever can work. Nathan sleeps much better if swaddled up in a thick fleece blanket. I know its completely against guidelines but I never did like rules much Wink he sleeps in baby gro, vest, under a big thick blanket, in my nice warm bedroom.

FattyNinjaOwl · 13/10/2015 12:57

Clothes : I use Sainsburys. Some of the stuff in there is adorable.
kbro happy nearly anniversary, hope you enjoy your date.

Joskar · 13/10/2015 14:29

Third uti in six weeks!

And I'm having dinner with fil, smil and SIL tonight.

Cannae catch a fucking break...

mzzzf · 13/10/2015 16:08

Bloody hell Joskar!! Maybe stop wearing the pvc hotpants 24hrs a day?!

Joskar · 13/10/2015 16:28

But it's essential for my most profitable pole dance, Mzzf! How else will I pay the children's gin?!

Lilydreams · 13/10/2015 16:34

Wow! I just haven't read for a day or two and I've missed loads! No chance I can reply to everything so I will just say get well to those wig colds and Joksar- I feel for you that must be really miserable for you! The utis not the in laws! Lol!

Had a busy day went to my exercise class this morning which I needed after eating a whole box of brownie bites yesterday! Oops! Then just been to meet my friend for coffe which was lovely! Walked there and back and I'm goosed now! Discovered that pub does Costa coffee which is dangerous as I'm a bit obsessed with it at the moment! Think I'm going to be living in there now!!

DS had the fussiest evening ever yesterday full on screaming which we've never had before! I missed a lot of it as I was at yoga (managed to only cry afterwards in the car this time!) but when he finally calmed down around 9 he fell asleep and didn't stir once until 0230 for a feed which was good! Went back down at 0330 but then from 0450 kept waking every 10 minutes being noisy so I'm pretty tired today! Think he must be going through a development stage maybe as today he fell asleep after the class at 1130 and didn't wake despite being moved from car seat to cosy to pram and I actually woke him at 1430 as he hadn't eaten for 5 hours which is unheard of in the day! He took 2oz then stopped eating! Came home and had another 3oz then started fussing again and has just panned out again on my shoulder! Enjoying the snuggles but think I'm going to try and put him in his cosy as my dad is coming to stay on Thursday and the house is a shot tip! What's the betting he will wake up as soon as I put him down! Fingers crossed! Happy Tuesday everyone!

loveandsmiles · 13/10/2015 16:59

Too much to catch up on!!

Can't remember who asked about Quinny Buzz?? - I used to have one so might be able to help with a question.

It's my birthday in a couple of days, so DH treated me to a cut and blowdry today and looked after all the DCs - it was a lovely, relaxing hour - back to reality now but it was nice while it lastedSmile

Lilydreams · 13/10/2015 18:51

Love that sounds like a nice treat and happy birthday for in a few days!

So I put DS down earlier and he was awake in minutes he's really fussy again too! Has just screamed blue murder for a bottle then only took 3oz!! Has cried for 20 minutes unless I've let him 'stand up' on my lap and now he has fell asleep again! Don't know what's got into him! Can't wait for DH to get in from work so I can get some stuff done! My downstairs loo had just blocked up too and is stinking the house our! FFS!!! Crappy evening!!

mzzzf · 13/10/2015 19:24

Oh lily I feel your pain!! Mini mzzzf has been swinging between loud hearty belly giggles and screaming the house down and who knows what the fuck for!! She's only taken half her bottle too.

How old is your ds Lily? Mini mzzzf is 10 weeks.

Plus dh rang to say he'd be delayed too. Already dreading tonight!!

Lilydreams · 13/10/2015 19:44

Oh nooo mzzf no Molly too and DH being late is not good!! Mines on his way home now! Luca was 11 weeks on Sunday so they are a similar age so maybe a development stage! Been bouncing him on one arm for 20 minutes now! Definately not looking forward to tonight but fingers crossed they'll be tired out and sleep.........yeah right!!

mzzzf · 13/10/2015 20:46

That my friend is wishful thinking!!

I really hope so though!!!!

Dozygirl · 13/10/2015 21:00

We'd better make a new thread before this be runs out.

Joskar yuck to the Uti u poor thing.

Lilydreams · 13/10/2015 22:40

Haha definately wishful thinking mzzf but you never know! He has finally gone to sleep- 10pm! Not too bad! He's a little monkey though, as soon as DH walked through the door he gave him the biggest smiles and chilled out! We bathed him and he lay on his mat wriggling around and smiling away! Like a different baby! Lovely to see he obviously missed DH ( first day at work in 8 weeks as he's been on leave or nights so he's been home a lot) today but Im also a little bit jealous that he was so fussy for me whilst he was at work and then happy as Larry once he was back! I think if I was in a hormonal mood id be questioning if he loved me as much!
