PR I love the idea of a forest kindergarten - there's one in the woods in central Fife and its my motivation for passing my driving test.

We seem to have lots of earwigs at the moment rather than spiders - they're coming in either on the dog or the line dried washing. Wah!!!

Tomorrow we have a paddling pool party with friends and then popping round for a cuppa / play session at his new CM. Today I smashed painting the dining room. Hurrah! Grin Just need DH to cut in along the coving and new light fittings installed and that's another room done! Oh and the small matter of a rocking chair I'm toying with up cycling either lavender or hot pink. Extreme nesting! Then its just our bedroom to go and I'll give myself permission to go into labour. Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 22:28

Hmm. I wouldn't blame the dog or the washing for the earwigs. IME they will turn up anyway. I kill remove a lot but did so those summer weeks before we moved in two years ago (so no dog or washing, just me scrubbing the house clean before moving day). They are crafty sods, like cockroaches and spiders.

Woo for dining room !

BigPigLittlePig · 21/07/2014 22:50

Evening folks.

Have spent an evening decluttering. Zamboni, I know you'll appreciate how much FUN I have had! Have made a list of what's next.

Great to hear things are better in chateau Kyz. Apart from dp obvs.

Forest school sounds great, Fs nursery offer it for the older ones I think.

F had a mouthful of scrambled egg tonight Confused I figured we may as well see what happens. Fingers crossed I haven't massively messed things up! I would love for her to be able to have some of my birthday cake later in the month.

Umm. Dh and I have decided to start ttc Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 23:21

Wow. TTC'ing appears to be contagious judging by here and FB. I am immune. So just going to enjoy from the sidelines. (Not the actual ttc'ing of course. Am not a total perve !

Eeek!! Baby pig the 2nd!! Soooooo.... Where in your cycle are you Grin.

Lily311 · 22/07/2014 04:25

Eeek, so exciting pig.
kyz so glad e is doing better, xxx

We are fine here, 40 degrees yesterday, was way too hot. Should be a bot cooler today.o's bed and wardrobe suppose to arrive today.

She still doesn't suck her thumb, it's been exactly a week. I'm still sad about it although I do understand that it's for the better. She is very emotional and gets upset more easily and doesn't calm down so quickly. Let's hope it will pass.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/07/2014 06:25

Crap night with Dd1. Coughing kept waking her up, she then kept realising she was in her own bed and daddy was in his own bed, and in the end we let her come in with us to be sure she'd get a couple of hours sleep. She didn't nap at all yesterday she must be exhausted after her adventures.

I bloomin' am!

Pikz · 22/07/2014 07:14

Dragging myself around this morning. L fell out of bed at 3am, no idea how and then woke at 4.30 wanting to go down stairs. Then up for day at 5.30. I hate development weeks. They are always like this!

Yay piggy! I am on cycle 8 off the pill and no luck yet :(

BigPigLittlePig · 22/07/2014 07:59

On AF at the mo Det. It's weird as we didn't ttc F, she just appeared. No clue how long my cycles are, or what any of those abbreviations were. Shall just enjoy some shagging Grin

Wandathewindfairy · 22/07/2014 09:20

Morning all. Lovely to hear you are all doing well kyz

Forest nursery sounds ace pr the girls school is a forest school, one of the main reasons we chose it. The treasures from the day on fb remind me of ds1 he always finds treasure and we seem to be setting up an exhibit on one of the outdoor window sills!

Boo to early work mornings, bumps in the night and puking dps.

bp not like in one of those Really American shows I didn't know I was pregnant and just as I was working my shift in the burger store the baby arrived? Surely Wink

I am just having pre lkea sustenance. Porridge and coffee. It needs to be a run in run out job, I need stacks of frames, a couple of plant pots and maybe a basket to keep ally harvested veg in attractively. I need some bedding as well but might wait and do Dunelm Mill trip.

I need to be home to do some weeding and have a swim in the rock pool before I get the boys.

I did a bit of cursory weeding last night while I was watering and grabbed a handful of nettles. Not nice. Shock

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/07/2014 09:56

bplp exciting. Enjoy Wink

I'm actually sitting in my garden in the sun watching the girls play. Was going to say playing nicely but they've just started bickering about a ride on giraffe. I have 4 ride ons why is it they both want the same one!

E has put on more weight and is now just over 9kg which I was thrilled about. Nothing else happened at the appt. They don't want to do an endoscopy as the sickness episodes aren't frequent enough for them to be too concerned. So that's that for now.

This afternoon it's DD1S graduation ceremony from nursery (?!) and then midwife appt. I've got to take both girls with me so that will be interesting.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/07/2014 10:01

Avoid the salmon wraps and the salad bar wanda Blush

Lily311 · 22/07/2014 11:32

eliza o is 10.4kgs so over 9 is great!!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/07/2014 13:14

Thanks lily

I just hope she starts eating lumps soon. It's getting very boring having to still mush things up and a real pita for picnics.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/07/2014 13:28

She'll get there eliza . It's great that she is putting on weight x

Wandathewindfairy · 22/07/2014 15:41

Great work eliza she is going the righ way.

I didn't have time to eat in ikea pr I was grabbing my breaky in cost as next door. I flew round, still more laid back that when I have the kids/DH, got all my bits and then came home to play with it all.

Unfortunately rock pool closed for new water. Do you think an hour of weeding will burn off a few cals or should I do shred as well this evening? Please say the former is ok on own.

I will put a pic of some of my handy work on fb.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/07/2014 18:05

Haha no sadly not Wanda, though that would have been a story for the grandchildren! I had come off the pill months before, but because of my shifts we were like ships in the night, so wasn't expecting a baby (naive much?).

Have done some digging and am going to be entitled to duck all mat pay as things currently stand. So need to make sure we save a little nest egg. V sadly I think we need to cut down Fs nursery hours a bit, as dh no longer works in the mornings.

StuntNun · 22/07/2014 18:10

DS1 and DS2 are 'too busy' playing computer games and watching TV to look after J while I make dinner. AIBU to tell them they can't have dinner?

PetiteRaleuse · 22/07/2014 19:19

LO skipped her nap today completely. She's just fought bedtime but I've left her to whinge on her own for a bit. This afternoon she stood banging on the door for 40 minutes nln stop shrieking for daddy. Every time I said something she paused, gave me the evil eye and screamed Non, Maman j'aime PAS MAMAN (which means basically no mum I don't like mum!). Isn't it great when they learn to speak :o

Poor thing. I remember a phase like this with DD1 so am relatively unfussed. It must be very annoying only having mummy to loathe in these circumstances.

Both kids' cough/cold fever bug is ongoing but manageable. From what I can tell pretty much all the kids in nursery and the village have had it.

I started a thread about this as I founf it funny but since it bombed I guess it wasn't. I got an email today from someone with in the subject line the name of a recipe she promised me a while ago. The email started all chit chatty and then she said for the recipe just google "poivrons marinés" and there are loads of them.

Could she not just have told me to google the recipe when I asked for it. Instead of explaining what she had done and how long it took.

Made me smile anyway.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/07/2014 19:20

stunt i would have switched the console off I think but my daughters are proving me to be shite at anything approaching discipline :o

StuntNun · 22/07/2014 19:35

It was more the passive resistance approach of doing a job really badly PR. DS1 just picked J up and held him screaming whereas DS2 put the TV on for J to watch rather than distract him from his important tasking of grabbing mummy round the legs when she's trying to cook.

In the end they got slightly burnt fish fingers and chips and I'm trying to eat a disgusting blue cheese omelette that sounded nice in the recipe.

Waste of good Gorgonzola grump grump grump.

OP posts:
StuntNun · 22/07/2014 19:44

J wants a share of my omelette which is only made from ingredients that he isn't allowed: eggs, butter, cream cheese, blue cheese and salt.
