Not the one that we bought wanda.

Wandathewindfairy · 20/07/2014 20:43

Oh great.

ValiumQueen · 20/07/2014 21:12

We have singles and superking. Sadly they do not have superking, even though we bought the bed from them.

BigPigLittlePig · 20/07/2014 21:14

Just climbing into a freshly made bed after being up for 29hrs straight. Aaaah it feels good.

Only a smidge blighted by the fact I had a bit of a Confused moment when I thought AF was late and got a bit fretful. But think I got my dates jumbled, courtesy of night shifts.

ZZZZZZZ

Passmethecrisps · 20/07/2014 23:24

I think you could forgive your brain and your uterus for being forgetful bp! Sleep well

Back from the dam. Lovely time had. We are at the in laws which is lovely but p was an utter nightmare to get to go to bed. It was past 10pm when she finally went after me lying down with her and her offering her dummy and various soft toy chums.

I have just come to bed to realise that horror of horrors, mil has washed an ironed the clothes we left (which is really lovely) including my knackered auld knickers (which are not lovely)

Oh the shame!

GTbaby · 21/07/2014 00:02

I've walked away from an argument. Quite pleased with myself.
Fh were discussing why I found being at work hard. Jist of it. He doesn't get why I'm emotional /tired/struggling.

We were starting to get heated. But I told him he wasn't even trying to understand my side so I didn't want to discuss it. I've now come to bed. He tried sucking me back into conv. But I can't be bothered.

GTbaby · 21/07/2014 06:11

Fog

GTbaby · 21/07/2014 06:15

Forgot to tell you H's story from yesterday.
A woke up crying At 9pm. I'm having dinner so dh goes up. Bil is over with kids and wife. H has got bored of playing with the kids so decided to go up to bed and climb in with A. Poor A was crying so much. Must have got so scared.

Zamboni · 21/07/2014 08:34

Hi all! PR hope the Blush has worn off. I don't remember a cacastrophe (nice word btw) of my own but have more than one public wetting myself incidents. Blush

BP clean sheets are the best!

lily, pass and wanda glad you all had a good weekend.

Oh dear GT, did H just want to play with A? They are going to be such good friends, aren't they?

The skin to skin is interesting. DD is unlikely to thank anyone for cuddles or contact unless she initiates it, whereas S does like to cuddle and still sleeps touching me.

We had a great weekend, punctuated by hideous car journeys. Friday was 6 hours in a hot traffic jam. Even 4 solid hours of Peppa Pig made a limited impact on the wailing. But then we got there and saw my DBro which was lovely. On Sunday we went to my DSis's and then back home very late last night. It was a very long, busy weekend and I think, on reflection, we tried to pack in too much. DC were confused and knackered and out of routine by the time we got home so the entirety of last night was hideous and I had to drop two overtired and crying children at nursery this morning. But my DBro was only over for such a short time so it was necessary, although am not in a hurry to repeat. I feel like shit too. My hayfever is horrific ATM and I have a cough and am knackered but have a lot of work to do. I may also be on day three of the worst hangover of my life. fuck you, red wine Grin

Does anyone else ever want to just pause time, check into a hotel for at least a week, live in utter silence, and only allow time to resume when they are finally rested and actually bored of the silence?

Pikz · 21/07/2014 08:57

Zamboni yes please.

Grumpy overtired up at 4.45 child at nursery.

DH off to holland to do his 3000th skydive

Grumpy overtired mummy contemplating finding a empty office at work to have a snooze in

YellowWellies · 21/07/2014 09:11

Zamboni I reckon I'd only last a day before craving the chaos but yes!

We had a bad night too - two wakings then up for the day at 7, but we were at a pal's BBQ yesterday and I'm pretty sure Jonas was plate grazing when my back was turned and did his own unscheduled dairy challenge. Still we had a lovely day, two pals got engaged and there's another pregnancy amongst my best chums. I'm due no.2 in October, another friend is due no.3 in January and another due no.2 in March. Our first babies are weeks apart and we all hang out on my non working days so I'm so chuffed to have sleep deprivation BF buddies for no.2!

I'm off on a local Fife public holiday today - odd quirk of working for local government we get weird public holidays even if we often have to work some of the national public holidays. So I'm finishing painting the dining room whilst the bear is in nursery and then I'm going to get him early so we can have a crafty / messy play afternoon. He'd probably rather the messy play involved the emulsion I'm using on the dining room!

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/07/2014 09:49

Morning quiche.

DH had to work yesterday so he took DD1 with him (she thinks it's a real treat). He works just off piccadilly circus. They were gone from 9-5. It was so quiet with just me and E here. We had a low key day pottering in the garden and going to the park.

zamboni please can the hotel be somewhere hot so I can laze by the pool and read/snooze.

When I was heavily pregnant with E (just on the cusp of being allowed to fly) me and DH went to marrakesh for a long weekend and did nothing but eat, sleep and snooze in the sun. I remember him saying to me on day 2 what would you do if you saw DD1 running towards you. I said I'd be really pleased, would give her a big hug and then hope someone whisked her away after an hour or 2! I wish we could do similar before no3 comes along but don't think we will manage it. I'm 40 in Nov so might be able to get away for a night in a spa hotel or something.

E has got her consultant appt later this afternoon. Not expecting much to come out of it. Probably a referral to someone else!

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 10:05

I would love a few days in a plush hotel with good restaurant. L'Enclume would do very well.

Nightmare morning. After dropping DD1 off went to the job centre to drop off some important docs. As I was putting LO in the car afterwards i popped my folder on the roof of the car. Then forgot about it. And drove off. Realised when I arrived at the supermarket a few mins away.

In the folder were original pay slips, contracts, my settlement agreement, bank details, passport etc etc etc. After about 40 mins of driving v slowly between the supermarket and the job centre looking for it, crying fairly hysterically, stopping every few metres and accosting randoms like a lost junkie I got a phone call. Someone had found it, intact, realised it was important and dropped it into a nearby office building.

They had gone right through it and found my number on my cv. Phew. It was stuffed in the middle so they will also have found out everything else about me but who cares!

YellowWellies · 21/07/2014 13:12

PR not ideal to have someone root through your private papers but great result that you are reunited with them!

Kyz · 21/07/2014 13:14

Hi all, swift post as I am waiting for dp who has nipped to get a missed parcel. Am sat in car so have five mins. I have SO much to catch up on, hair wanted to let you all know we are alive and well in zordz corner :) thankyou all so much for your support, I am so sorry I haven't been able to keep up, I should get on t do an epic post tonight perhaps

Much love from me and e xxx

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/07/2014 13:18

Gosh pr what a relief!

kyz glad to hear all is well.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 13:37

yw in these circumstances am happy for anyone to root through my papers. Grateful even. If they had looked at just the first few docs they would probably have called my old office with them. Shock That would have been a pita.

Kyz · 21/07/2014 21:11

Evening quiche!!! I was going to reply from where I last posted but that was about 17 pages ago and I just don't have the time in one sitting, not to mention it was over a week ago now I think! So i'll just have to try to keep up from here if that's ok? Sorry, I know i'm out of the loop!

To give an update from here, E is doing well, we even caught the last few days camping with everyone else. He is back to his cheeky self, and is eating relatively well though is still being quite picky. I haven't pushed the issue and have just offered him a variety, steering clear of milk for now as instructed. This has meant e doesn't have a bed time bottle any longer! Not sure when it's ok to introduce milk again but when I do it'll be in the morning so he has all day for it to settle. he's fine with cheese and yoghurt. If he gets milk back at night time it might be in a cup/beaker or something and with a couple of biscuits/fruit/cereal. I think this is probably a good opportunity to ditch that last bottle. Unfortunatley dp has been throwing up all afternoon, which is fab, obviously! I am ok so far, touch wood!

Hope everyone is ok quichewide, and thanks again for all of the support when E was in hospital, it means an awful lot to me xxx

ValiumQueen · 21/07/2014 21:18

Hello Kyz x good to hear he is much better but sorry to hear about DP. Never worry about being out of the loop. You have had good reason, and it is just lovely to have you back again x

I was washing up this evening and felt a tickle on my neck. It was a fucking huge spider! I screamed like a girl and threw it away from me. DH rescued me from it. I bet I dream of the bastard thing.

J had a poo at nursery that was clearly left to go hard. His bum is so so sore to the point of bleeding. He whimpered all the way home poor love. It would not surprise me if I saw him tonight.

I wish you all sweet dreams x goodnight x

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 21:42

Bastard spider!

kyz so good to see you back!

Passmethecrisps · 21/07/2014 22:02

Eek vq!! Bastard spider!

Absolutely lovely to see you kyz and I am pleased that little E is better. Please don't worry about keeping up or posting on everything. Your big posts are gorgeous and we all love them but a quick pop in is just lovely.

I am glad you got your folder back again pr. Fuck me, em that sounds intense!

Back home now - being away is great but coming home is fab. P was in bed late but went to sleep within minutes. She is absolutely knackered. We are going to have to retire the folding cot - what are your suggestions ladies?

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 22:04

And vq that is bad. Re the poo. They should check regularly. Did you pick him up plus poo or could he have had a constipated moment?

DD1 LOVED forest nursery. Apparently she was a bit of a handful but she was happy to be dropped off, picked up, and ready to go tomorrow. Will pop a pic on fb (I know she is not a Nov 11 baby but still)

PetiteRaleuse · 21/07/2014 22:04

Pikz · 21/07/2014 22:09

Hiii Kyz!

PR glad to hear about the paperwork and forest school

Pass we have a blow up toddler bed... Contemplated a ready bed but wasn't sure if the mattress was good enough?

Am knackered after a early morning and so much on at work.
