Calling all lurkers! If you're reading but finding life too hectic to keep up then please check in and give us a brief update.

I has never really liked skin to skin. Sadly. He can't stand it if I bring him in to bed in the morning for cuddles. He can't stand sleeping on or next to anyone!

He's a dude that likes his own space! He does love to sit on you or with you to watch tv though . He was very cuddly too. But recently not so much :(

My O is exactly the same Det. The only time he shows any affection is bedtime. He will give me a hug if I ask for one then, cuddle in for a story and pucker his lips for a kiss goodnight He had started saying 'one more' with his finger raised (copying me) to ask for more kisses

I'm hoping he's just too busy with other stuff at the moment as he loved cuddles on demand until the last month or so! Grrr! I got a rare one this evening as we left him to go out for a meal! Then I didn't want to leave :(

L likes his own space but will come for cuddles too and stick his arm down my cleavage. We haven't done proper skin to skin for a long time but last night when he was struggling to settle he lay on top of me for a long time and it seemed to help.

Mornings. I am ready for my course with no hangover! YIpppeeee. But am knackered. It is so hot here with no air con so we had the windows open and it was super noisy till early hours. Which is to be expected as is a Main Street with hotels and restaurants. I did get sleep just not quite enough. Sure a shower will sort me out.

Not complaining. Had a great night with DH.

O hates coming into bed with us but ds1 loves to snuggle in in the morning. I suppose we just never did it with him so much as we had ds1 too and it is just so out of routine.

Missing them this morning I keep wondering if it is too early/manically over checky to text yet.

Morning,

Went to an open air play last night, watched Gone with the wind. It was great but I'm tired this morning. O is with my parents and best friend guy is still asleep. He is leaving tomorrow and we have had a great week, experiencing proper family and couple time. Which makes me even more determined to find a guy, I can see it properly what we are missing out on and how life supposed to be. Nothing serious will happen with best friend guy, for several reasons really but mainly because I will not go back to uk for time being and he will not come to Hungary. I will put some pic on Facebook, he really is brilliant with O, They have a very special bond not surprised really, he was with me at the scans, when she was born and the first 5 months of her life he saw her every day.

My car is brilliant but the air con doesn't work, grrrr. So need to take it to the garage next week.

Skin to skin always works with O, the best way to calm her down if she is really upset to get in the bath with her and she just lies on my tummy while the water is running.

Today is my little brother's 25th birthday and I miss him very much. Hope the weather is good in London so he can have some fun.

Sometimes the right one is really worth waiting for. Most of the time actually. Sounds like your week has been wonderful lilly do you think you can replicate that wonderfulness with someone else? He knows you so well and obviously loves O.

Come on husband, am I dressed and at the door starving for breakfast and he is taking ages in the bathroom

I have to believe that wanda, I am not in love with him just very very comfortable. Could I fall in love with him? I don't think so although I don't say never.

Sounds like a lovely week lily I guess you will have to see how it goes once he's gone.

FWIW Lily, I know how you feel, albeit on a smaller scale. The 'family' day I had with P and O at the beach last week reminded me of what we are missing out on and how life should actually be. We'll get there x

I have a cuddle monster of a toddler. She has also started grabbing my cheeks and pulling me in for kisses. And says something resembling love you, which makes me a bit weepy!

Cuddle monster is full of snot, again, but dispatched out for the day with daddy so I can sleep. Last night tonight

Just had a lovely massage - my birthday present from Lily. It wasn't Lily giving the massage, obvs Very nearly fell asleep and I may have drooled a little bit on the massage table Off for a food shop now, then preparing for a second date later. Hope happy Saturdays are had by all

Just checking in from The Dam. It is 34oC here! I was not built for the heat so I am struggling a bit actually. Today I am armed with water and have my actual arms and actual legs uncovered

The hotel is amazing and we both had the best night's sleep we have had in about 2 years. I suggest we all take it in turns to stay there.

Ate at ikea yesterday lunch. Had a v embarassing reaction to their food in the car park. Won't TMI you but tis the first time have yelled cacastrophe at my DH when referring to myself.

Tell. Tell. Nothing is tmi after all the stuff we shared on ante natal threads!

Amazing day at the cookery school. Highly recommend stunt do an evening or a sat with your dh, take the bus or train as loads of really good wine to be had ( I was driving so have purchased some as was lovely) I have some photos. But a great day, learnt loads and enjoyed every minute.

Erm. Shat self. In car park. 40 min drive home sitting in own shit.

We were here seeing this guy last night. There is a city wide festival called Viva Brazil.

There was a day of mourning here yesterday according to the bbc news - there was little sign of it here on the street though. We didn't see any of the flowers at schipol either.

Oh and we are off for rijstaffel tonight. Yummy

Ha ha. Unfortunately I already knew the feeling. Shat myself at work, in front of a seminar of 15 students in 1999. Wearing a g string and short skirt. Now that was bad.

And, before you ask, the only other time have done that for real. Was also a reaction to food.
