Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

Yep we had a 5.15 start today. Pretty sure that's going to mess up my plans today as I'm off out at 8.30 for a drink with some gal pals but need to collect dd1 from a party at 7.45 - bet that T will nap en route to dd2s party this morn

WLmum · 12/07/2014 08:13

Ing then who knows what will happen with bedtime? Oh well DH will be home at 8.30 and then it'll be his problem!

WLmum · 12/07/2014 08:14

And then be asleep en route to dd1 pick up - will have to get her out of the car to go in to collect dd1 so who knows.
That wasn't very coherent was it!

halestone · 12/07/2014 10:17

Nutella moan away it must be horrible being heavily pregnant in summer, especially of Germany is as warm as i remember it being.

Stacks, i also think it will be a bit of both. I like WL's suggestion of getting your DP to deal with DS over night. DS does sound super cute when you described how he was with your DD.

Beasty, sounds like a horrible fire i hope all the after effects have gone now.

I have a night off work tonight i am so excited to spend some family time with me DP, DD and DSD.Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 12/07/2014 10:50

I nearly had an unfortunate incident with a buzzard, it tried flying straight into my windscreen and they're massive!

I was in Latvia at 6 months gone, and continental Europe is a lot muggier than here

I'm now counting the seconds till R wakes, then it's lunch and off to the friends he's staying over with I'm telling myself i'm just excited and not bricking it at all

WLmum · 12/07/2014 13:05

Hope you have a lovely evening hales and pidj - I'm sure you'll all be fine.
T had half hour nap on the way back from dd2s party so will def be grumpy this afternoon and will have a late nap on the way to dd1s party.
Dd1 saw a bit of stagecoach going on at dd2s party and has announced she wants to go. 3 hours tuition every Saturday - ££££. Not a chance!

WLmum · 12/07/2014 16:07

I have resorted to teletubbies! A quiet cuddle and some tubs. I'm looking after a friends dd this aft too but luckily dd1&2 are happily playing upstairs with her.

PurplePidjin · 12/07/2014 16:48

WL is there an independent drama club she could go to? I know our local theatre runs kids stuff in the holidays

R has been gone 2 hours and is having a whale of a time! Apparently he says "mama" quizzically every so often, they say "See mummy in the morning" and off he trots! I've undercoated the play kitchen, just letting that dry then will sand and do a second coat. Trying to decide what to do with my evening - pub or bed! It's pride in one local town, or Arts festival in a different one...

PurplePidjin · 12/07/2014 20:46

R is apparently in his pyjamas bombing about eating shortbread and being followed by an adoring pooch who is vacuuming up crumbs and the youngest 3 kids who are begging for a baby sibling Mum says no way think she likes the idea of giving him back All having a splendid time, I'm off for a leisurely soak in the bath!

Stacks · 12/07/2014 21:47

I've got a cluster-feeding baby here, but a sleeping toddler. He's been better today, gave us till 5:15 this morning, and went for his nap and bed without tears. We still needed to stay with him till he fell asleep, but he's so tired it didn't take long. We're just going to try and keep things normal for him for a few days, hope he settles back down. Unfortunately I think the tantrums are here to stay...

Glad your night off is going well for all concerned pidg. Enjoy your evening and undisturbed night of sleep.

nutella sympathies for heavily pg in the heat. I hope baby decides to make an appearance soon.

Can't remember what else I read, still got baby brain!

utopian99 · 12/07/2014 22:05

Glad things are going a bit better stacks, reading about your experience with the new small with interest, and will be doing the same to Nutella. Feeling fat'n'orrible here but ibiza at 6 months and sicily at 7 months will be even hotter!

pidj yay to ds being happy and your night off. Also for nice evenings hales and wl. keep meaning to ask for the same from my folks (who have already volunteered,) but not getting a weekend to do it. Also Grin at 'traitorous bratling'.

PurplePidjin · 12/07/2014 22:14

dcs 3+5 got him to sleep at 9. i didn't dare ask if he was in the cot, one of their beds or in with the dog Grin

WLmum · 13/07/2014 00:35

Prob best not to ask pidj.
In my slightly inebriated state I have emptied the washing machine to find clean clothes, 2 badges and a sizeable lump of blutak. School age kids?

WLmum · 13/07/2014 07:59

pidj I hope you and ds survived your night apart?

Barbeasty · 13/07/2014 08:02

Or one like A, who likes to load the washing machine and tumble dryer when I'm not looking WL!

Hope you managed a lie in Pidj

I was just sitting outside, sneaking a peaceful breakfast, when I heard Peppa Pig blaring so loud it was as though I was in the sitting room.

I went in and both DC were screaming because DD had tried to turn it up so she could hear better and had put the sound system at full volume! At least it was after 7 am.

PurplePidjin · 13/07/2014 08:29

i think i accidentally washed blue tack once it lost its stick Sad

i slept appallingly but at least it was my own fault! r woke a couple of times but ewan worked. then he had them all up at 5:15 Shock just lazing in bed with coffee before i go get him Smile

WLmum · 13/07/2014 10:23

Boo to the rubbish sleep but yay to the relaxing in bed with coffee.

halestone · 13/07/2014 15:04

hope you have had some lovely cuddles off R Pidj.

Stacks i will admit i am a little bit jealous that your BF your newborn DD. I kind of miss that feeling.

Utopian i am also jealous of your 2 holidays.

WL hope you have no hangover.

Beasty i have to load and unload the washing machine as H loves to 'help'.

Had a lovely night last night and don't want to go back in tonight now. We went out to southport had a family meal then went the fair then some ice cream walking along the beach. We got back to the car as it started raining.

WLmum · 13/07/2014 16:59

That sounds lovely hales

PurplePidjin · 13/07/2014 18:40

Hales that sounds like a fabulous day, many memories made :)

R was asleep on dc3 when I got there, woke and was fine then about 10 minutes later had a huge hysterical crying fit for a few minutes which I just cuddled him through. I think the whole "Mummy went away then came back" thing got too much for him. He's been fine if slightly clingier than normal since then, but is also clearly exhausted - I had to give him an alternative tea which he picked at so I shovelled a yoghurt and a weetabix in him, he was falling asleep in the high chair at 4:15 Shock I think the benefits of fitting into a bigger family and spending time with other people outweigh any negatives - I'm pretty sure he'd have the same emotional outburst after his first day at nursery if I sent him, it's just where he doesn't know how to deal with big feelings yet - and they're happy to host him while I go away with work so it can't have been too traumatic all round!

Any news from Nutella yet?

MrsNutella · 13/07/2014 20:09

No news pidj I'm still pregnant with puffy legs and a baby that is trying to break out of my womb! DH just had his hand on my belly and was actually ShockShockShock at the gymnastics it is trying to do in there.

Thanks for the sympathies ladies. Sadly I have crappy leg veins even when not pregnant. So during pregnancy the extra pressure put on my legs is definitely my main complaint. I have:
Compression stockings, a kind of menthol leg cream stuff, regular leg massages from DH, nettle tea (I'm not convinced and it doesn't taste all that great), I also take magnesium before bed - that's just the regular almost daily stuff I do. I might get some acupuncture soon... I'm willing to try anything!!

Yes it has been muggy and oppressive here. Last night was definitely the best night of sleep I've had all week.

So that's my whinge done Smile

Hope you're all well?

hales that sounds like a lovely day out. How is the bedtime routine going? Is H finally over her cough?

pidj how long are you away with work? The pics of R you posted are sooo cute. I really love his curly hair, he is gorgeous. Of course all the toddlers are gorgeous I just love R's curly hair Smile. Glad he had a fun night away. It sounds like your friends DC's had a great time playing with him.

PurplePidjin · 13/07/2014 21:05

2 nights, so 3 full days. 3 days of supervising teenagers away from their parents and trying to impress the local teenagers. good job i like them, hey Grin

WLmum · 13/07/2014 21:06

Breaking news - I've just read that danger mouse is coming back! Next year, now sporting an 'i-patch' instead of his regular patch.
nutella you poor thing, that sounds dreadful. I was lucky that apart from the initial struggles to get and stay pg, my pgs were routine and easy and I loved it.
pidj I'm glad to hear you think there are benefits from being in a larger family environment as I sometimes feel sorry for my brood having to fight for airtime.

PurplePidjin · 13/07/2014 21:07

and thank you for the compliments! i think all the babies are gorgeous, we get stopped in the street most times we're out but i assume that's because there are lots of lonely older people tound here and he tends to smile and babble at them!
