Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

nutella give us a new baby to cheer me up!

WLmum · 15/07/2014 06:18

And as you would expect after such little sleep she is tired and grumpy.

Barbeasty · 15/07/2014 08:54

Nutella would your DH speak English at home so he got English there, German at nursery/ school etc? A bilingual nursery sounds good though.

Spotty that's really good.

WL are you working today, or dealing with grumpy baby?

A is grumpy almost permanently at the moment. Major teething and a bit of a cold (using snot as hair gel is not a good look! )

He only seems to be happy when he's being mischievous. He shut DD in the downstairs loo (which is pitch black because she can't reach the light pull), then ran to shut DH behind the stairgate to stop him rescuing her. And he finds it hilarious to run away- 3 times he slid at speed down the stairs while I was trying to get him changed and dressed this morning!

PurplePidjin · 15/07/2014 08:54

Brew wl

WLmum · 15/07/2014 09:29

I'm at home today with dd2 and T. Taking them to the fab sensory room in a bit then I expect T will have a good sleep.
I might be able to persuade dd2 to snuggle up with me and watch a DVD through closed eyelids!

beasty what a little monkey!

I managed to tell a senior manager why I'm leaving yesterday - it was a chance meeting and the conversation went really well. It was a nice end rather than just slinking off - I'm having a belated leaving do mid aug.

PurplePidjin · 15/07/2014 12:55

We went to the Oceanarium this morning courtesy of my Mum, he loved it so much she upgraded me to membership so we can go loads now :o

This afternoon we're off the Halfrauds to get the car seat seen. He's been playing with the head rest, and I had a look and there's a damaged bit where a grommet thing has come out. The second one has also come out although no damage to the foam that side. It's around a year old but wasn't even used for several months as we got a brilliant deal in the sale before he was ready. Fx they can repair or replace!

PurplePidjin · 15/07/2014 12:57

Yay, checked the receipt - purchased 29th of this month last year! It's a 9m-4y one, so surely should be expected to last more than a year from the date of purchase?

MrsNutella · 15/07/2014 13:46

pidj I would absolutely expect the seat to be guaranteed for at least a year!

Wl believe me, nothing would make me happier right now than delivering this baby!
I'm starting to get more and more pains shooting up in my inner thigh.. Dr google suggests it is SPD Hmm.

PurplePidjin · 15/07/2014 15:57

they took one look and replaced it on the spot. old one is going back to Britax to be investigated. they didn't have the same colour in, do i kind? i said it could be pink with yellow and green spots i don't care as long as its safe!

PurplePidjin · 15/07/2014 15:57

its not pink btw its blue with rather cute robots Grin

halestone · 15/07/2014 16:13

Glad they replaced it so easily Pidj.

Oh no Nutella i hope your ok that must be horrible.

WLBrew I hope T sleeps better for you tonight.

I went to Toys'r'us today and got a really good deal on one of those plastic wendy houses for outside. The box didn't fit inside my car so i had open the box and fit the parts around my car. Cue the worst car journey i have ever had. H cried and by cried i mean sobbed all the way home.Sad She is however very pleased with the end resultGrin

Maryland2013 · 15/07/2014 19:53

Which house did you get Hales? We have been looking at those too :)

Nutella our nursery was brilliant for the settling period. We did it over 3/4 weeks just starting with an hour then 2 then a meal then sleeps then half days. He didn't sleep well the first couple of weeks but that's the only issue we had. He's never (touch wood) cried when being dropped off not cried during his day unless he fell over and scraped his face outside like last week aaaagh

Hope baby Nutella makes an appearance soon!

Good news Pidj I was going to tell you to go and throw the book at them (the book of the sale of goods act that is ha ha)

PurplePidjin · 15/07/2014 21:29

House sounds awesome hales pic please!

Thanks Maryland i was polite, just asked them to have a look and he instantly said it wasn't safe and luckily they had one in that had been ordered and not collected! Not sure what they'd have done elsewise, as that model is normally internet-only for click and collect and I don't think they'd have let me drive off with no car seat? I only paid £50 for the original in the sale last year, so not sure they'd have given me a different seat to the original value nor would I have expected it. Although it's clearly a manufacturing thing, a 20mo shouldn't be strong enough to break the foam on a car seat designed to be used by 4yos! was not so amusing when I had to show him how to take the old one out, nor when he put the new one in wrong and nearly got it completely stuck in my car

halestone · 15/07/2014 21:57

I've put a picture on FB. Obviously H had to jump in the picture as she still thinks sleep is for the weak and is currently running round with no sleep in sight.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2014 06:58

I'm going to winchester today to try on wedding dresses Shock

Hales we have that play house but it was second hand so has no door and they won't let he buy just a door...

We have baby hedgehogs in our garden!

Hales how do I join the FB group?

Barbeasty · 16/07/2014 07:41

Enjoy dress shopping Spotty

I'm off on my team building thing today. Had to squeeze everything into a too-small rucksack. And it's not like we'll be near any shops, so if I've forgotten anything it's tough. Back Friday.

Yay for the new seat Pidj.

And I like the house Hales

halestone · 16/07/2014 08:38

Maryland i had to do it through another poster who doesn't use this group anymore if you PM your real life name i'll send it to her via FB and ask her to add you.

Spotty how exciting i hope you find your dream dress.

Beasty have fun at your team building day.

coffeeandcream · 16/07/2014 09:12

Morning everyone, hope you're all ok.

nutella sounds like you're having a rough time, fx your bubba shows up soon.

spotty - dress shopping! Exciting!! Try on the most outrageous and flamboyant ones they have as you never know, you could surprise yourself and find something you never imagined liking.

pidj glad you got the car seat sorted. I went to pick up F from nursery last week without remembering we'd swapped the car seat to DHs car... Oops. Had to turn round sharpish!

F fell backwards off our bed this morning, big bump, lots of tears and lots of whimpering for some time afterwards Sad

coffeeandcream · 16/07/2014 09:16

And whilst I was typing that, F has been drawing on the sofa with a biro. Grrrr

MrsNutella · 16/07/2014 10:39

pidj good news on the seat!

hales love the house! Sorry H is still rebelling WRT bedtime. She looks like she enjoys the house though Smile

spotty I hope you have fun today! I went wedding dress shopping on my own, my friend couldn't come at the last minute. It was fairly pants, but in the end I found the perfect dress so the rest really didn't matter. although finding one that cost half the amount might have been nice, nah, I wouldn't swap the dress it was perfect...

coffee all pens and similar things are kept well away from DS. Even though he finds pens immensely fascinating and will draw on paper, he cannot be trusted and runs off to the nearest wall the moment the fancy takes him. Hope you're well and feeling recovered.

PurplePidjin · 16/07/2014 12:26

Beasty have fun, and if you can't have fun drink Wine till you can fake it Wink

I keep pens in a pot by the calendar, R's crayons live there too - otherwise he gets all agitated wanting to draw instead of eating his tea Hmm

I hated wedding dress shopping. I think it's because the (very lovely) lady greeted us then proudly presented their extensive rail of Disney dresses. Yes, that's right, Disney Princess inspired dresses for grown adults. They were actually lovely but I just couldn't take the whole thing seriously after that! A friend the same size as me was looking to recycle hers before it went to charity so I'll be wearing that. It's a "proper" wedding dress in that it's white and long - I was going to go for something sharply tailored in a colour, with a white jacket over the top for church - but it's a lot nicer than anything I saw in an actual shop and free which means I've got more budget for fun stuff like feeding people :o

halestone · 16/07/2014 13:23

Have you set a date Pidj?

H and my DN have been out since 9:30am this morning swimming with my cousins. So far i have snuck to the swimming baths to see if they were ok. Went in too see about selling my car and getting a new one. Paid my National Insurance bill, Sorted my tax credits out, started sorting out my tax return and cleaned all downstairs. I am now sitting down waiting for them to return.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2014 15:56

I've fallen in love with this it's nicer irl. It had a rip in the one I tried on so might try get that cheaper...(have started a thread).
