Ooh Inge to start a new thread. So if the last one was the one where they don't sleep, then they'll start to sleep now, yes?

I go back to work next Weds Kitty. DS started properly today. Full day today, tomorrow and Friday. I've just done a lovely yoga class and am using the next few days to have lunches, get hair cut etc. miss DS though. Sad

pear definitely want to hear all TTC details! I'm beginning to accept that I will do it all again but not yet!

That's what takes the time doesn't it...working out what works. Must be so confusing when you have more than 1 child. I really find it hard to believe that 2/3 children can be so different. I can't believe there is a chance I will be learning all of this all over again next time ShockGrin

Am I a total loon for thinking about buying stocking fillers tonight? I keep seeing things in the sale. Can't decide if this will help long run or if I will end up buying more. Christmas present addict Grin

Really? The prices go up? Right I'll get them then. Thanks Grin

Ooh three cheers for you Frus!! 3 sleeping children at the same time is such a great feeling. Hope you were able to get to bed early and get in loads of great, quality sleep tonight! M is currently whinging her little head off. She napped too late at my mum's and now is refusing to go to sleep even though it's nearly 9. Bugger....Hmm

Yes! Get them now. They jack the prices up around x-mas and then you'll kick yourself.

I swore I would never be one of those mums that said "I don't really remember it feels like such a long time a go" Wink I think before I started proper CIO training I just refused feeds and rocked Bpear to sleep instead. I know that we got to the point of him sleeping through by 10 months so CIO must have played a part in it. The thing with CIO is it only worked for us when we were strong and consistent with it...it took me a while to build up to they stage (mainly because I had family stuff going on too so I was stressed).

So I brought bpear some Melissa & Doug kitchen food in the sale (because we're buying him a kitchen for Christmas) and a Aqua mat. I got presents for nephews and friends little ones birthdays coming up in December. Unlucky that I now know 3 kids with a December birthday...not helpful but does help to be prepared this year I think. Anyway I'm trying my best to stick to a £5-7 budget for friends kids. So far so good.

Frus your new bed sounds lovely :-)

peardrop2 · 17/08/2014 08:22

Does anyone have any Mega Block toys to recommend?

peardrop2 · 17/08/2014 08:53

Frus ~ also I was just thinking, there is no way bpear could have handled CIO if we were in the same room. Maybe that is your downside. Might take you much longer to get a result.

Could you sleep on the couch whilst going through the training? Or ask DH to help dismantle cot and move him into his own room? Maybe a stupid thing to suggest with the situation going on?!

I'm here! Every time I post the thread disappears from my watched list so when it leaves my TIO I don't see it at all!

I'm mostly hiding from the world atm. Been quite down since we got back from holiday. Just looking forward to things starting up again in Sept.

pear I can't believe you're even thinking about Christmas now! I can't do that. I'd keep buying them things & then deciding it was stupid to have toys sitting round that they could be enjoying now & we'd only have to buy more stuff!

Frus hopefully your new bed will be so lovely that you'll fall into a coma-like sleep every night & not hear a thing while the DC rum amok! Wink Would it be so bad to let DD2 watch things at night? If she's not going to sleep anyway at least it might keep her calm & quiet!

And now I can't think of anything to say that will ever top Fruss posting that her DS' poo is looking at her because he swallowed a googlie eye. Sorry everyone. That's it. The internet is over. Fruss wins Grin
