Oh and well done on epic babysitting skillz Pidj! How are you doing lately? Fancy giving us an update on FB?

PurplePidjin · 09/05/2014 21:51

We're bimbling along Chasing thank you for asking Thanks

Passmethecrisps · 09/05/2014 22:20

Luffs you guys!

I am mega broody today. Like mega mega.

The other day DH said "one is fine , don't you think? I mean, can you imagine having two of them?" And I couldn't say anything. I just hummed and stroked P's head which I think he took as agreement. Hmm. There may beed to be a chat in crispacres

PetiteRaleuse · 09/05/2014 23:07

Ugh. Was all sleepy. Then at 9 I channel hopped on to a channel which was about to show a Dexter marathon. The whole of the Trinity season. It's midnight now.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/05/2014 23:20

Just one more episode. Right?

BigPigLittlePig · 10/05/2014 07:20

I would love to assume that the lack of posts meant all were asleep...suspect that may not be the case though!

Pass we have been having chats about future offspring, dh wants another now, and I would if the finances were right, but we would be scuppered by 2x nursery fees Sad

Have just watched some pingu followed by...rosie and jim!

StuntNun · 10/05/2014 07:25

I was asleep BigPig! J slept all night for the first time in a while (after an hour-long screamathon to wrestle him into bed) then he woke up at 5:45 and has been screaming ever since. If I didn't know exactly what he has been eating the last few days I would think he had had some egg as his eczema has flared, he's been whinging all morning and as for his rancid arse... I'm so fed up of cleaning up diarrhoea every day. I'm sick of wondering what's up with him. Is it teething, is it a growth spurt, is it something in his diet? Getting him to sleep is particularly bad at the moment, he hates his cot and can't be put into it unless he's already asleep.

Morning quiche. Am fighting the urge to go to ikea this morning. Gave up on Dexter at about 1am.

DH started a new job last week and has to work this afternoon Angry

ValiumQueen · 10/05/2014 09:09

Resistance is futile PR. Sorry DH is working Hmm Go to Ikea and tell us all about your lovely purchases.

J slept all night in his bed. From 7 to 6 Shock Alas I did not due to sodding cough. But it was wonderful being awake without a little person sleeping on my head Smile and I was able to have a cuddle with DH too.

J has a couple of funny patches on his skin. Either he has eaten something he shouldn't have, or it is the pox ConfusedAngryBrewWine We will know by the end of the day I guess Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/05/2014 09:32

Morning all, not sure what to do today. Taking DD1 swimming but that's not till 3pm. Weather is a bit pants.

pass I'm sure he'll come round. Most men don't get broody. it was probably just a throw away comment. once you've had a proper chat about it the outcome may be different.

stunt That sounds tough but I'm glad you at least had a nights sleep.

vq hope it turns out to be nothing.

pr enjoy ikea. My nearest ikea is pretty hellish at weekends.

FatimaLovesBread · 10/05/2014 09:38

Morning quiche

Thank you all for your support yesterday, if been meaning to post for a while but thought I was just being a whinge bag.
I managed some positive steps yesterday, I've booked my hair for a cut and colour to make me feel brighter and I shaved my legs and frim fram for the first time in ages, I'm seriously a stone lighter in hair now Grin

Weight/exercise wise, I'm not too bothered about my weight as in the actual number. I'm not as light as I once was, don't think I'll ever be, but I'm a stone lighter than pre-preg weight. I've just lost all tone and need to tone up. Problem areas are my stomach, my abs are shot! My love handles, upper back and top of my arms. I'd like to tone them a bit.
Any advice on exercise that can be done relatively cheaply.
Am I just going to have to bite the bullet and start running?

chasing do you use any training method? Like couch25k? Or do you just run?
I've got shred but can't find it Angry

Today we have no plans but DH is not playing cricket so I want to do something, me and M have been cooped up with the bad weather the last few days. Ikea sounds fab pr

I've decided I'm going to make more of an effort to catch up with this thread. I can't complain about feeling lonely when I've got a group of fab friends right here!

ChasingDaisy · 10/05/2014 09:51

Fatima, I literally just started running. I went out 3 weeks ago to see how far I could run - which wasn't far at all! Then I've gradually been increasing the distance. I've gone from 0 to 2 miles in 3 weeks. Aiming for 3 miles today Smile

I think once you get over the hurdle of deciding what to do and then actually doing it, it will make such a big difference. I'm a huge advocate of exercise as a mood booster.

Pikz · 10/05/2014 11:11

The glamour of the laundrette. How to catapult yourself out of holiday mode!!!

GTbaby · 10/05/2014 11:11

Fatima my hair cut was last week. And leg and other hair removal too. Lol seems to be a must do thing for shaking out off ruts.
My next step is getting to the park every day (made easier by H constant screaming from the second he wakes BA BA BA) for a walk and fresh air. It's about a 2mile walk in total which is nothing, but exhausts me.
Our local gym is £40 a month. Considering the facilities (no pool small machine room and weights, 3 tred mils) that's scary expensive. But in terms of getting there it's a 5 min walk. So I would need 1.5hours for a good session.

Whine whine whine...H is whining, bbl

PurplePidjin · 10/05/2014 12:57

GT just out of curiosity is H always actually screaming to go out? It's just that Ba is one of R's favourite syllables to play around with but, because it doesn't mean anything in English, to him it's just a nice noise iyswim? So he might just be playing with the sound sometimes as well as using to ask to go out? Please take this the way it's meant, I'm hoping to ease some of the pressure you seem to feel under CakeBrew

PetiteRaleuse · 10/05/2014 13:19

The shred work out is on you tube. I love it. I'm counting only on exercise and portion control (everything in moderation) to tone up. I don't want to lose any weight really. It should be much easier now I have run out of midget gems and monster munch :( :( :(

PetiteRaleuse · 10/05/2014 13:26

Didn't go to ikea in the end. We prioritised what we need and the most urgent was some gardening bits and pieces and a bbq (summer onslaught of guests starts in a few weeks). Got to the checkout and showed the bloke the bbq. He ran everything else through the till and got distracted by a non recognised bar code on a plant. Told me the total amount and as I put my card in I realised he hadn't counted the bbq. Me being me I pointed it out. Am v cross with myself as I would have liked a free bbq (no scanners at the door in this shop so would have got away with it) but I know I'd have felt guilty every time I used it. So I am hoping karma will pay me back with a winning lottery ticket or something.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/05/2014 14:00

Just realised. This week I am enrolling DD1 in school for September. This time next year I will be doing the same for LO!!!

GTbaby · 10/05/2014 14:26

Lol pp. ba is deff OUT. He has also learnt shoes said jooes. He says them both together now.

ValiumQueen · 10/05/2014 15:14

PR I am like that. I would be convinced I was going to be struck by lightening if I didn't say anything.

I have made banana and blueberry muffins, dairy free bung in without measuring, and they are lush and nearly all gone We have also made chocolate lollies. The girls were very quiet for about 15 mins licking out their bowls Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 10/05/2014 17:08

I'm preparing a three course meal for tonight in which every ingredient (except the salt) comes from within a 5 mile radius of my home or from my garden. Including the wine.

:o

PurplePidjin · 10/05/2014 18:11

Fair enough, GT :o we get Doos for shoes usually when he's eating them in the back of the car and he fetches my keys when he's ready to go somewhere - even if we've walked to the park or playgroup, he'll fetch my keys and go and stand by the gate/door!

Bizarre baby had his nap 12:30-2 when I woke him. Then I was all relaxed about bedtime because I didn't think he'd be tired. Cue screaming overtired baby in the bath at 5:15 pointing at his bedroom. Seriously, wtf?!?! He's just hummed himself off to sleep now though, 40 minutes after he was put down (he was chatting not crying) it doesn't normally take that long. Has been streaming snot all day though so maybe a cold? No other symptoms yet..

And I HAZ CAAAAAAR :o :o :o :o :o

BigPigLittlePig · 10/05/2014 18:22

Hello new teeth. Overtired baby crashed out 15mins ago after refusing tea and having The Biggest Meltdown I have ever seen.

PR any room round the table for an extra?
