Passmethecrisps · 09/04/2014 23:59

Sent.

Fuck. Me

Passmethecrisps · 10/04/2014 00:00

You alight flouncy?

That story was awful kyz! Poor wee mites.

Honestly bp, you need to be a full on chemist/dietician/nutritionist to get all this right. Good spot

Passmethecrisps · 10/04/2014 00:07

Blimey! I hope flouncy isn't alight! I do hope she is, however, alright

BigPigLittlePig · 10/04/2014 00:59

Am sat in bed in tears. F has been up for hours, I am exhausted, have just had an almighty row with "d"h who has royally pissed me off. Am feeling pretty fucking down in the dumps.

Moan over, sorry.

GTbaby · 10/04/2014 01:48

Oh no BP. Is she unwell. Although I know she isn't a great sleeper regardless.

All Fh suck. Mine is now in loft every night. And when he complains of tiredness I want to punch him.

No idea what you've tired before with lo. Music in bedroom. Coldplay parachute album used to get me to sleep. Or moby play if you skip first two songs.

Ok I'm just withering rubbish in the hope it will distract you as I don't know what else to say Blush

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2014 02:30

Not caught up properly but see that BP is not happy. Big hugs and empathy. J has been up since 11.45 - wet nappy, teeth, then so wide awake with rapid returning. Tried gradual withdrawal which worked fine initially but he kept waking. DD2 has been awake an hour so we are all downstairs.

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2014 02:53

Well done Pass. Fingers and toes crossed for you x

Kyz that is horrid I am so sorry xxx

BP surely it would be listed as soya? I will look out for it x

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2014 02:59

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2014 03:29

Just down FFS.

Kyz · 10/04/2014 04:12

Hugs bp sounds like you need them!

Eek vq hope you're asleep now!

Well done pass

You here gt? Anyone else?

I'm on feed 3 of the night. Baby still with us and still feeding, was worried about her at her last feed but she's ok thankfully :) one more feed then it's 'morning'

GTbaby · 10/04/2014 05:28

Temperature is going up here. A seems a bit uncomfortable so given calpol. A lil weary of waiting for a 38 deg reading as he never gets there when sick. Just hovers below. But dr was surprised he didn't have a high temp with his tonsil infection.
Is it possible he just doesn't get a high temp?

Lily311 · 10/04/2014 05:48

kyz that sounds horrid.
flouncy you ok?
vq hope you are asleep!
bp thinking of you, hugs

Good night here, 2 wake ups till 10 than slept through.

Morning all

Grrrrrrr vq and bp and anyone else up in the small wee hours. Is Brew and mushrooms on nimble this morning if you don't mind (am having a couple of good days before I go away at the weekend).

Yesterday I took DS1 to the big smoke because I wanted a mooch in wAterstones few bits. I got myself the new Northanger Abbey and each child go a book. £35 squid on books, which I then proceeded to leave In Sainsburys. Angry

I was planning to do a supermarket shop anyway this weekend just wasn't necessary. Planning to drive for 45 mins to do said shop.

I have got over it and theorise that it is cheaper to do that than replace my stash.

DS1 loved sitting in WAterstones and reading/looking at the books which made me v happy.

2 more sleeps to go!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/04/2014 07:34

Hold on what did my brain do there.

I was planning to do a supermarket shop anyway today. Ur I just wasn't planning to drive 45 mins....etc etc......

If I wrote a novel I could provide work for a whole posse of proofreaders.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/04/2014 07:37

My problem is my brain overtakes my fingers and typing ability. You should see my writing. At school I would miss letters out for speed.

and had a tendency to miss out high frequency words when reading to teachers. Well we know they are there don't we, and what they are for

I also had a tendency to make comments on the behaviour of the protagonists of the books I was supposed to be reading aloud which never went down well

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2014 07:46

Sophia you made me smile Grin

Well, the small willie wearer was up again at 5 and got scooped up and we slept in DD1s bed until 7.

I have told DH that rapid return is fine at bedtime but if he wakes in the night we need another strategy. He will be scooped tonight for sure. SO THERE!

PetiteRaleuse · 10/04/2014 08:02

Crap sorry to hear about shit nights vq and kyz and pig

Always guaranteed a smile at soph's morning ramblings.

Hope the rat survived kyz how long will she need feeding so frequently?

Good night here but DH got home v late so we didn't get a long night.

The DDs are getting their first annual picture done next week at nursery. Have wished nursery good luck with that :o

Our hedgehogs have come out of hibernation :)

Erm... Housework today. Super busy week next week: paed for jabs, ob gyn for me, vet to get dog's passport sorted, two phone chats with training course providers for me, new car Thurs morning then off to catch the ferry Thursday late morning and somehow need to pack everything else in that time. Wanted to go to get hair done but won't have time.

Oh well.

Pikz · 10/04/2014 08:02

Big hugs all round and Brew

Period finally arrived. Massive headache but feel sooooo much better

PetiteRaleuse · 10/04/2014 08:06

pennie ime the tantrum phase is starting now. Dd1 is just about through it 18mo later except when overtired. I think it goes through peaks and troughs. Good days and bad days. Watch out for food reactions on moods - DD1 gets overexcited when she has too much sugar, obviously, but also strawberries. Her mood is also affected by hunger and thirst. Now she recognises hunger and thirst and can tell me or help herself it is easier to pre-empt.

I ignore, time out if she gets rough or fireman's lift and keep on walking if we're outside til she calms down. Distraction can work but only if you spot the warning signs before she goes into full throttle. So to speak.

Passmethecrisps · 10/04/2014 08:33

Good morning all.

bp that sounds awful. How are you doing today?

Scooped vq? Sorry you had a bad night as well.

pennie p sounds fairly similar. Like pr I feel that hunger, thirst and tiredness plays a massive role. I have been trying to make sure I always have a snack and water with me if I can. If the tantrum can't be avoided I try distraction. There are key things which usually snap her out of it - pictures of cats on cat food, carrying her while I trot like a horse or a sudden "what was that?" Are my go tos. Yesterday she stropped about not being able to put her shoes in the washing machine - big proper tears. DH and I got down on our knees and made boo hoo noises. It sort of worked but her upset was quite real so in the end she needed a big cuddle when she was ready.

So no answers sadly. I will also be watching with interest. I tell myself that p's determination is a good thing. . .

PetiteRaleuse · 10/04/2014 08:37

I do a lot of that too pass repeating to myself that at least my girls know their minds, are determined and characterful. I don't want them to lose that - I did and was v unhappy for a long time.

Good luck re your job btw. You are awesome :)

ditsygal · 10/04/2014 08:53

BP wouldn't E471 made with soya have to have soya listed in the allergens on something? I am just wondering as we have used vitalite before as it says on the from dairy and soy free and don't think they could say that if the E471 was made from soya (I say hopefully)

Kyz you are a truly wonderful and caring person. That story was horrible. I too am a total animal lover and have done some things others would think were bonkers before for animals- but even I would struggle to feed ever 1.5 hours with our own babies to look after and wake us up too. I hope your efforts pay off and the mummy can take over 100% of feeding duties and you can get some sleep.

BigPigLittlePig · 10/04/2014 09:34

Vitalite doesn't say soya free, neither does it list it by name. E471 can be made from a number of sources, one of which is soya lecithin, which is not soya protein (the usual allergic component). I think most can eat the lecithins.

Not sure what time F eventually went to sleep, I left dh to it. Have had a chat wih him so feel marginally better. He has agreed to take on some more responsibility around the house to take some pressure off me.

Brew for all xx
