Happy Mothers Day to all the very special mothers in the quiche! Big hugs to those who will be missing their own mothers today.

DH got up at an obscene hour to get to the pub ahead of one of their busiest days if the year but have had a lovely card and little pressie and lots of cuddles. Grin

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 09:01

Yes Zamboni, I feel very lucky to still have my DM and DMIL. Big hugs to those who today is bitter sweet for various reasons Thanks

BigPigLittlePig · 30/03/2014 09:04

Happy mother's day all. I second what zamboni said about those missing their own mums today xx

F slept til 10 mins ago Grin

LuisCarol · 30/03/2014 09:29

Happy mothers day to all.

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 09:48

and please pass the sentiments on to Mrs G Grin

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 09:50

BP I am now going through the phase of wondering if the Omeprazole is hurting him. He had a half dose last evening and did better, but I will just be splitting the dose as opposed to cutting it.

ChasingDaisy · 30/03/2014 09:56

Happy Mummy's day to the best bunch of mummies I know xxThanksThanks

Thechick · 30/03/2014 10:00

Happy Mother's Day everyone

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/03/2014 10:30

E's still asleep!! I however have been awake since the crack of dawn as DH's alarm woke me up for when he went to golf. I am seriously grumpy! Realise this is a minor thing to moan about in the grand scheme of things but I just wanted to vent.

Can't decide what to do. When E eventually gets up I can either meet DH and go with my family to a country park, have a picnic etc. Or just take myself and girls off to a farm for the day what's left of it. I'm torn. Part of me just wants to take myself off and get out of this grump and part of me says I should just get over it and go and meet DH.

Anyway enough moaning. ... happy Mother's day to all you fabulous mummies xx

FatimaLovesBread · 30/03/2014 10:37

Happy Mothers' Day quiche!

Hope you're all having a fab day. M refused to bring me a brew in bed this am, daddy asked and she said no Grin

Eliza I think you are rightly pissed off with DH, but also think it would make for a nicer day if you met up with him later. He is naughty for going golfing. How about planning a trip to the spa for Father's Day? For you.

YellowWellies · 30/03/2014 11:13

Eliza yes do it - spa trip on Father's Day. If you don't get a sleep in on Mother's Day that's totally fair!

Jonas needed a quick settle by DH due to reflux about 11 but other than that, and the night he forgot his meds, he has slept through every night since we weaned!

Am just about to try my first cup of decaf with milk Brew it's making me feel a bit Envy at the thought of it....

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 11:28

You are all three doing very well YW Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/03/2014 11:35

Yes you're right vq as always! Am going to meet him. My sis, bil and DN will be there too. So off I go. loving the idea for Father's day spa trip Grin

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 11:39

Do it. With an innocent face too Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 30/03/2014 15:53

Hope people are having lurvely days. F is constructing a homemade wendy house with daddy. Could be interesting.

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/03/2014 16:37

I went. We're back. I'm still grumpy.

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 17:00

(((((Eliza)))))

My Mother's Day has consisted of clearing up vomit, washing out vomitous clothes, cloths and bedding, with the odd bit of poo to add interest, and clearing up more vomit. I feel truly blessed Envy

J is still not right. Still not eating properly, and what little he eats comes back either instantly or several hours later. No obvious acid smell, but he is spiking temps and clearly has a sore throat. Today he is mostly playing happily, and laughed after his last vom session.

Oh, and Daddy has the bug too Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2014 17:32

Is your DH like mine? We have gastros he gets dysentry. We get colds he only gets flu. Headaches are migraines etc etc.

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 18:02

Oh yes oh yes.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/03/2014 18:20

Sorry about the substandard vomit cleaning, golf club visiting mothers days.

Things have been good here at the Fairy house. Poached eggs on toast were delivered to me in bed along with a duck egg blue box. I nipped downstairs momentarily to put the pot roast brisket in and off back to bed with a coffee. I did work hard the rest of the day with a big roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinner for the whole family and ILs. All went to plan and, more importantly much appreciated.

I am now perusing the internet for a new Sunday outfit for DS1 who seems to have had a growth spurt. (Embarrassingly so, actually when he was dressed for crch today)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/03/2014 19:31

I think the idea of the Poker faced Father's Day spa trip is a good one.

Children deposited In respective beds. Mummy not too far behind.

Lily311 · 30/03/2014 19:36

I had a lovely day with O and my parents. We set up their garden with toys and enjoyed the sunshine. It was really lovely. Feel sad that Leo was not here but blessed that the quiche fairy delivered a card for me.

I also went for a 6k run and i am in a really rubbish form. I can't believe that 2 years ago I run 6k at nearly half the time than now.

Tomorrow off to gp for pre surgery visit than spend the afternoon with my nieces and nephew.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2014 19:36

We had a lovely day out. We have been meaning to go to a certain lake for ages but it's a bit of a trek. Next time we'll go there overnight but it was very pretty.

ChasingDaisy · 30/03/2014 19:38

Sounds like a lovely day Sophia Smile

I had a nice day by myself in the end and it was lovely to see O again. He cried a lot at bedtime, I think it's a combination of being overtired, clocks changing, teeth and separation anxiety. But he is asleep now and I am painting my nails. He came back with his hair smelling of cigarette smoke. I am beyond livid. I don't give a toss if XP is smoking again, but to do it round O is not on.
