Stunt you've got to be sure about quitting and only you know if the time to stop BF is here - but if he's reacting to dairy in your milk then are you able to exclude dairy given your other diet limitations? I'm sure you could do it if you wanted to as you are so determined and strong. However it might be tough healthwise given what else you have to avoid. If you can't exclude it then whilst breast is best it has to be balanced against a concern it might also be causing him physical pain? Breast isn't best if it's hurting or damaging his gut.

Koko isn't ideal I agree but combined with multivitamins and probiotics and a balanced diet its not such a bad option? I knew I'd waver like hell hence I've mainlined dairy so now I can't backtrack and feed him as it'd be cruel. And my J is teensy so I do feel bad about him losing BM calories as he does need all the help he can get.... Sad

It's a really tough place to be Thanks

Hallo!

Baby in bed and sleeping (hopefully) with babysitter!

I didn't remember about clocks until this afternoon. We go to nice on Monday so goodness knows what kind of schedule we will be on by then.

And we managed to get some lovely hand prints done finally. Hoorah!

YellowWellies · 29/03/2014 19:29

First boob-free bedtime with me in the house Confused fingers crossed. And he's a total Daddy's boy ATM Hmm clearly he didn't get the memo about Mother's Day. I do miss nursing and that v tactile bond we had but it's evolving into something different now. Chocolate is helping!

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 19:35

I'm sure your bond is strong enough yw you've been an amazing diet coping mum. Now on to number two. There is just one in there right?

StuntNun · 29/03/2014 20:00

My DS1 and DS2 self-weaned at 8 and 9 months respectively. DS1 always loved formula milk but DS2 flat refused milk for a long time and only had water for a while as a baby, although he did have lots of yoghurts. J is much older and doesn't have the weight gain ishoos that DS1 and DS2 had and still have so there isn't that concern. But ultimately I want to do what's best for J and I'm not really sure what is going on with intolerances. He doesn't vomit and he doesn't have any skin problems but he does have pain at nighttime and he certainly doesn't sleep. Whatever happens he's had a good run with the bm.

Joins the barfing club

ValiumQueen · 29/03/2014 20:09

Oh no Pikz Hmm I hope it passes soon x

I think you are doing the right thing Stunt, for you and him.

BigPigLittlePig · 29/03/2014 20:14

Oh dear pikz Sad

Second what others have said, Stunt - J will be just fine. If he ends up off dairy for morw than a few weeks, do you have a dietitian you could see? Would definitely be worth it.

Today I could gladly deposit the hound at the pound. She has been so naughty. Escaped twice and run away, once had me running down the road in my PJs Blush. Barking. Chewing. Eating cat shit. All typical dog stuff, but dog stuff on speed. I think she's firmly in the teenage years Envy

F, in contrast to YWs J, is a right mummy's girl at the moment. Well, she always has been, but even more so. The sobs and tears when I left her bedroom for 2 seconds to turn the bath on! The leg climbing. She wants to sit next to me, on me even, whenever I stop for a minute. But I love it Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 20:18

I thought you'd nailed it by removing the moo juice stunt . Sorry it's still ongoing. Sounds very stressful.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 20:21

piggy dog adolescence is tough. Sympathies.

pikz sorry to hear you're ill. Flowers

Breaking news in my household. I have a spider bite on my buttock. Am a tad grossed out at spider working its way into my pants. Hope it got me in the shower (less contact time necessary). I honestly don't walk round in the starks (sorry to disappoint).

ValiumQueen · 29/03/2014 20:25

I did wonder PR Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 20:31

Well my butt starkers habits upset the neighbours :o

ChasingDaisy · 29/03/2014 20:42

Just read pig's post and had images of her running down the road in her PJs, barking Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 29/03/2014 20:47

O lord, barking would have sealed my reputation as a total loon. At least I had PJs on eh, PR!?

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 20:50

Better than arse naked spider inviting behaviour piggy

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 20:53

I once got caught out barking at a dog. My dog was being a wuss at this dog in my old village which used to run free and nip him on our walks. Owner didn't care. So I used to growl at the dog and ovcasionally bark as we went past. It stopped her in her tracks. Anyhoo once I got caught doing it by another neighbour. You'll be delighted to hear that I held my head up proud and walked right on.

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/03/2014 22:35

stunt it sounds like you're in a tough place. Without wanting to sound patronising, you have done amazingly well to get this far bf. As J is in pain and still has sleep issues it really does sound like its time to move on.

And yw I never imagined it could be so tough to wean off bf. Hugs. I do think it's rather apt that you and stunt are coming to the end of bf at the same time.

I was intending to put the girls to bed at their usual time tonight but ended up going about 45mins later as dinner was delayed due to us all bouncing on the trampoline for far too long Blush They will be going to bed normal time tomorrow that's the plan anyway. I deal with clock changes a la chasing.

YellowWellies · 29/03/2014 22:36

I feel sick from eating too much chocolate. Boak.

YellowWellies · 29/03/2014 22:58

And Jonas has a lovely reflux cough so I'm guessing the sausages he ate at our pub lunch today, despite being assured were dairy free, fecking weren't. Lying cnting fckwit waiting staff Angry !

GTbaby · 30/03/2014 02:02

Fh has just had a gussy fit at me cos he has to get up in two hours and I just got in. Irony?
HOWEVER I'm now trying to get A to sleep. Roles reversed he would be too drink to stand.

GTbaby · 30/03/2014 02:16

Despite what my typos suggest. I am not drunk Shock

Lily311 · 30/03/2014 05:26

Morning, O didn't get the memo about waking a bit later but it feels good to say she was up at 6 rather than 5. Let's hope tomorrow we can really stretch to 6am.

Thank you for my quiche card, I absolutely love it. We are off to my parents today and will only return on Wednesday. Have a lovely Mother's Day everyone!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2014 07:25

Happy mothers day everyone.

GTbaby · 30/03/2014 08:41

Happy Mother's Day Thanks

A has been up ages. ((Tiered face))

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2014 08:50

Happy Mother's Day everyone Smile

J had a fairly good night sleeping on my head Confused and has woken with a high temp. I still have the runs (possibly more nerves than bug) so cannot go into work tomorrow. What a shame Wink

Daddy tried to give me a lay in, but with all three kids howling, I found it hard to stay put.

I have three lovely cards from my babies, and the biggest pile of chocolate I have ever seen outside of a shop! Shock
