Shit salt! I hope he improves. Remember drs know what they are doing and your dh will fight through.

glorious · 02/04/2014 18:26

Thinking of you salt Thanks

Tugstonia · 03/04/2014 09:31

Salt how are you and how is DH? Thinking of you Flowers

Glorious how are you? I hope the night weaning is going better.

glorious · 03/04/2014 11:00

We gave up After 5 nights she was sleeping no better, in fact waking about every 10 mins most of the night. I think the night she only woke twice and fed once was just sheer exhaustion. I wasn't sleeping at all and both me and DH were near breaking point with E being upset at night so we stopped.

I think that was the right decision but pretty down that it didn't work tbh.

Though in the scale of things at least we're all ok and one day she will sleep or at least not have to wake me up

CreepyCrawly · 03/04/2014 12:23

Just try again in a few weeks glorious, it'll all come together. A bit of sleep is much better than stressing about getting sleep :)

Hope you and DH are alright salt

Nancy's been referred to the paediatrician because of her 'vacant episodes' so waiting for an appointment to be made now. HV said its possibly nothing but better to get checked out.

The festivals you guys are going to sound fab. I don't think there's anything around here like that.

AppleCrumples · 03/04/2014 12:32

glorious just think.. 1 day she will be a teenager and you'll have the opposite problem :) It will improve, in the meantime have some Cake

creepy hope it turns out to be nothing, glad you're getting he checked.

salt thinking of you and dh Flowers

fourlegstwolegs · 03/04/2014 16:51

Creepy I'm sure it's just chilled out contentment :)

A haircut today was met by hysterical screaming (not mine!). Though he now looks very grown up. It's his FOURTH, his hair grows so fast!

Salt I hope everything is ok....

meringue33 · 03/04/2014 19:46

Salt I hope you guys are ok. Any news? Flowers

Glorious one day it will just happen, she'll sleep through and your life will change overnight :)

Creepy hope it's nothing to worry about. Aren't you in Wales somewhere? What about the Green Man?

lollipoppi · 03/04/2014 19:50

Salt hope your both ok?

Glorious, sorry it didn't work, it will one day I'm sure, hopefully your getting some rest

Fourlegs, glad things are ok, has your DH moved quite far away now then?

I started a new job today! Now that All our busy periods at the shop are over we decided that it's best to have a steady income coming in, it's just 2 days a week but hoping to increase to 3 soon, I've only got today and tomorrow for the girl who's leaving to show me the ropes and how to manage the office so my brains been a bit fried today

Bunny222 · 03/04/2014 19:51

Salt - thinking of you and your DH.

Am back to work now, and this was the first week LO hasnt shouted at me when leaving him at nursery. Which is so great to see him settling, but just a tiny bit of me feels like 'why isnt he upset that i'm leaving'...!

He is on his feet now and trotting pretty fast. They look so funny upright, it freaks me out a bit ;-) has anyone bought reigns yet? Am thinking its a matter of time til i'll need them with him.

Anyone else still feeling like they are doing the lionshare of the work with little ones, even tho we're working too now? Thought id get a bit more assistance from DH but not really happening...

JuniperTisane · 03/04/2014 21:08

They do look funny don't they Bunny We have a backpack with harness from DS1 but I suspect D will need proper reins. He's a cheeky little wotsit and fast now he's walking.

Both boys are down with a virus - fever, d&v, achy. DH is doing his bit - he's got no choice as I can't sort them both out at the same time. He's pretty good though.

I appear to have replaced the tip of my finger with 9 stitches and a bloody great dressing. Fecking broccoli. Fecking new knives.

Thinking of you Salt

Wine
CreepyCrawly · 04/04/2014 17:26

Thanks meringue, Green Man looks fab but a little far. I've seen that Volksfest is only 30 mins away though so we're gonna do that. I might persuade DH to let me replace my beautiful ancient golf that I sold last year.

Ouch juniper, that sounds nasty!

We have backpack reins here but they feel a bit big so may find some proper ones for now.

AppleCrumples · 04/04/2014 19:25

We have reins, ds2 was a bolter :)

juniper you make broccoli (sp) sound dangerous! Hope you're ok and your boys are feeling better

Ivy seems jealous, she kept trying to pull dd1 off my lap this afternoon, then cried until she managed to climb up and basically sat on poor dd1. I wss playing with another baby at rhume time this week and if looks could kill... I was prepared for older dc to be jealous of the attention Ivy gets but not the other way round!

glorious · 04/04/2014 20:34

Thanks everyone, trying not to give up hope that she'll sleep soon...

juniper ouch Sad poor finger. And vom as well. Are they better now?

lolli how's the job? Is it work you've done before?

happyhow · 04/04/2014 22:34

Ouch for the finger juniper! I nearly took mine off with a mango this morning!

Glorious, Bailey just slept through one night and we've never looked back. Hopefully E will settle soon.

My hubby hasn't picked up on the helping around the house or with B and I've been back at work since August!

Bailey is now walking with support but can't do it on his own. Got all his pre-molars in now so will have a few weeks grace before the next lot come in!

Been battling tonsillitis all week which has been horrendously sore. Made it worse by still going into work as was going to Gary Barlow on weds so couldn't justify going to it if I'd been off work!! Grin

Easter hols now!!

lollipoppi · 05/04/2014 09:05

Ouch juniper! Obviously this weekend you should be full bed rest, whilst DH bring you Brew Grin

Work went well, it's an office manger role (not managing people, just the engineers and directors accommodation, flights ect, and office) It's similar to my last office role pre-DC, I'm in an office in my own and the peace and quiet is bliss Grin

Off to a wedding today

JuniperTisane · 05/04/2014 11:34

Full bed rest?! Who're you kidding? DH looks worse than all of us. DS1 is over it and bouncing all over the house while the rest of us feel terrible.

Finger is alright really. Broccoli and Mango ought to be listed as dangerous weapons.

Glad wok is good lolli

Urgh...

Angielka · 05/04/2014 20:00

Catching up on thread after mad week away with work and lovely weekend reminding counting my blessings.

Salt so sorry - how are you?

glorious Molly has started refusing to sleep in her cot again - google tells me sleep regressions can happen round 1 year, 18 months and 2 years... but just think. Once she's three you'll be fine Wink.

Took the girls swimming today. Molly is totally fearless and just comes up after face planting in the water with a massive grin and water pouring off her.

You lot be careful with those dangerous weapons. Good job on the work lolli and apple, totally with you on the jealousy thing. Maybe it's the age?

Lora1982 · 05/04/2014 23:15

Dexter hated swimming when we went for the first time on sat. the sod WILL learn to like it though becausw I bought a discount card

What sleeps and naps are everyone doing? He sleeps 8-7ish with an hour and half or two hrs from 11am but his mood is awful in the afternoon so wondering if he needs to go back to two naps.

Salt fingers crossed for you I really hope things have improved the past few days.

JuniperTisane · 06/04/2014 13:12

I've escaped from lurgy central to Costa at Tesco with Daniel. Can't stand the miserableiping in smelly pyjamas any longer. Dh seems to have infected Ds1 with the sloth gene now they're both post-viral. I am resisting the immense urge to kick them both off their backsides and get some fresh air. Oh god I hate sofa zombies Angry

Dan still has a morning nap of about an hour and another in the afternoon sometime. On the days we're busy all morning he isn't fit for anything much by 11.30 and we strugglewith lunch. Ds1 was down to one nap by now though.

JuniperTisane · 06/04/2014 13:19

Meant to ask what stories are you all reading to the babes? I'm looking for some inspiration as I have a waterstones gift card to use.

glorious · 06/04/2014 15:55

Roll on 3 then! E did quite well last night actually (for her anyway) so there's always hope!

juniper I hope they perk up soon. E loves Slinky Malinki (Early Bird is her absolute favourite book) and Hairy Maclary. She's quite fond of one with a baby owl looking for his mummy too but I've forgotten what it's called and can't check cos we're out. She also likes the 'little [whatever]' series with finger puppets.

JuniperTisane · 06/04/2014 16:31

Hairy McClary from Donaldson's Dairy? We haven't got those. Excellent. Goodnight Moon, Dear Zoo and Tabby McTat are all popular here.

Glad you got a better night.
