cross post, didn't send first time. Actually got up at 830.

Well done Dan, E is of the hurl yourself off school still though can be persuaded to go backwards if you actually turn her round

JuniperTisane · 29/03/2014 09:40

Yes you can! Be strong and let DH deal with it. Nothing bad will happen. I'd offer you coffee except its got caffeine in and you don't have much of that do you? Never mind. Have a virtual espresso anyway.

Up until a few days ago D would only go upwards so this is new.

mrsbug · 29/03/2014 09:55

Glorious well done on making it to 5am, like you say tomorrow that will be 6am which is quite respectable.

If you'd told me two years ago that I would be looking forward to the clocks going forward I wouldn't have believed it.

AppleCrumples · 29/03/2014 19:16

glorious well done on getting to 5, i hope it gets easier.

Well done Dan on getting down, can he teach Ivy who is like Ellen and prone to just chucking herself down Hmm

Ivy has gone to bed without any bf My bf days are over and i feel sad had a little cry whilst Ivy had a little cry too when she realised

glorious · 29/03/2014 20:45

Thanks all, we're having another go and have agreed that if the same or better we'll plough on but if she's worse I don't have to sit up all night crying myself like last night Sad

juniper virtual espresso gratefully accepted, well remembered that I'm normally on decaff. And chocolate!

E has been a bit more cuddly today but also very cheerful so long as I don't try to give her to DH/DM

glorious · 29/03/2014 20:47

Oh I knew there was something else. apples sorry you were sad, it must feel like the end of a phase of your life after 4. Well done both for managing though Thanks

lollipoppi · 30/03/2014 02:59

How's night 2 going glorious, I'm hoping your sleeping!!

Just got home from work since 7am this morning, so so tired, going to get a couple of hours before I have to head back at 7, 1 more day to get through and the Mother's Day chaos will be over, phew! I miss my babies Hmm
Poor DP is still there, and heading to the market to top up flowers for the 375 and counting deliveries we have tomorrow
Hope you all have a lovely Mother's Day, here's a bunch of Thanks on the house Smile

glorious · 30/03/2014 05:58

Oh my goodness lolli that's a long day. Poor you and DH. The Thanks are lovely though, thanks! Grin

I have slept from about 1130-545 new time with one waking, lovely. DH hasn't really slept though because E has been too up and down, but not actually very upset any time until just now when he rang me just as I was walking up, so I've come down and am feeding her.

Not bad though, she has gone 10 hours without milk which is a huge change. I guess tonight I may need to see if I can settle her too....

CreepyCrawly · 30/03/2014 11:11

Oh lolli such long days! Hope you get to relax this afternoon.

Glad there's some improvement glorious, it gets easier :)

Thanks for you apples

How did your dog get on cupcakes? Mine will soon be slightly less of a man, the chemical castration made a big difference to his prostate so he's going for the chop.

Got the HV coming out tomorrow for the 1yr check Hmm

LetThereBeCupcakes · 30/03/2014 19:43

creepy glad your dog is better. How old is he? Mine did quite well yesterday, though he was a bit lazy and ran under 3 jumps! Little monkey.

glorious good luck for tonight. I've been sleeping on the floor with DS for the last two nights so I'm a bit jealous of your sleep!

glorious · 30/03/2014 21:29

Sorry to hear that cupcakes . Sad hope he inproves. If it's any consolation I did wake up unable to breathe, it felt like I was being strangled. I think it's the stress.

AppleCrumples · 30/03/2014 22:28

lolli wow those are some hours! hope you're getting some rest now

cupcakes hope ds will let you sleep

glorious glad you got some sleep. good luck tonight

Seems silly to be sad over bf especially as i said goodbye to it all when dd1 stopped! I picked ds2 up from a party yesterday and his friends mum is pregnant with no5 (no4 is the same age as Ivy) and i felt wierdly jealous! Not because i want any more but i loved the snuggly babyness and i'm a bit Envy of the lovely newborn snuggles and bf she has to look forward to.

Not even sure that made sense Grin

BuntyCollocks · 30/03/2014 23:19

apples makes total sense. Everyone and their mother (Arf) is having a baby this year and I'm really jealous. Dd is definitely winding down bf'ing as well. v sad that she could potentially be the last baby I feed :(

LetThereBeCupcakes · 31/03/2014 06:02

From one extreme to another here - DS slept through for the first time last night. Not quite sure what to do with all this energy! glorious hope things went ok for you and that you're not too stressed.

I have a friend who is just winding up bf with her second and last DC and is apparently loving all of the 'lasts' - getting rid of clothes, weaning for the last time etc. Maybe you guys just aren't ready to be done with babies yet.

CreepyCrawly · 31/03/2014 08:00

He'll be 7 in July cupcakes so getting on a bit now bless him. The dogs that cheat are my favourites Grin. Yay on the sleep too!

Hope last night went ok glorious.

glorious · 31/03/2014 08:03

Wow cupcakes that's just brilliant! I'm so so pleased for you.

I couldn't sleep again. She woke briefly twice but wasn't too unhappy, then DH and my mum swapped as he has work and E went nuts the next time she woke. I still hadn't slept at all by then so I went in at about 130 and she had a long feed. She didn't wake again, in fact I had to wake her to go to childminder's this morning, but I had a long coughing fit and realised my glands are really swollen, and then got woken up by a crash Sad So about 3 broken hours here.

I'd be happy with one night feed but whether we'll be able to stick to that I don't know.

Lostbobbles · 31/03/2014 09:08

Hello

Yay on the sleeping, walking, bf weaning (Glorious hope it's improving)

Busy weekend here, went down to the south coast to see then family this weekend, had an 80th birthday party to attend. Was great to see the family and DD2 was good as gold in the travel cot. Same cant be said for DH who got sloshed both nights, the second returning at 3.30am. which to be fair is actually quite early for him!

DD1 has not been too well has another virus, although has today woken up with a few suspicious looking spots on her face prob nothing, like the other 100 times she gets a spot and Dr google convinces me it's the pox Typical timing if it is, she has a dance show and fairytale days at school this week. Also hoping that if it is, it's short lived and DD2 doesn't come down with it until after the 15th April we are off to euro disney on the 11th

Pushchair update - I think i've talked myself out of the bjcm and into the babyzen yoyo!! DH has not been informed and current thought is I could maybe hide said yoyo behind the sofa or in the utility room, which I don't think he knows exists

Lostbobbles · 31/03/2014 09:13

Glorious, sorry missed your post. Have you tried the dream feed just before you go to bed. I know it's late in the day to re-introduce and technically "they" say at this age they don't need it, but beats 1.30 am. At least then you know for sure she is not hungry and just waking from habit. The only other suggestion is the wake to sleep method. Didn't work for DD1 but lots of friends swear by it.

AppleCrumples · 31/03/2014 12:40

lost hope dd1 ok. i have never made plans to hide yet another buggy oh no :)

bunty thats it. as well as the mum on no5 3 teachers are all sporting huge bumps. I'm just sad that bits all over. Alsp i think i miss the time you have with them when they arw very little, once they are at school and yoy factor in cubs etc o never get time just to.be with them. Daft really as Ivy has years til she goes off to school.

Actually a big part of it is having to look at secondary schools, i just wamt to keep them all with me :(

glorious poor you that sounds hard Flowers

cupcakes yay on the sleep

Hope everyone else ok

AppleCrumples · 31/03/2014 12:42

Oh god! just ignorw me and my gloomy posts :(

Am off to enjoy my mad toddler ans be bloody grateful for what i have :)

JuniperTisane · 31/03/2014 13:16

Lost I have just about talked myself out of the Yoyo and into either the BJCM-GT or the Nuna Pepp Luxx Blush Off to Kiddicare this weekend to choose which one Dan likes best and then we shall sell the Micralite as there's no need any more for a buggy board or second seat really.

Glorious one feed a night sounds brilliant. Think how much better you'll function when you manage a few consecutive hours asleep. E will get used to it, she will. It will be fine! When you're feeling better we must meet up for lunch again. Maybe a picnic somewhere if the weather's nice? I can show you Dan happy on my back at last!

On the subject of more children DH is now saying if the finances were different he would want to have another try for a girl. This from a man on the waiting list for the snip under general anaesthetic after it was aborted last time. I don't know any more. We can't really justify it - nowhere to put another baby, car too small, house too small, income too small...

Mad toddler here too!

JuniperTisane · 31/03/2014 13:18

Just booked tickets for Lollibop. Had excellent fun there last year. Got tickets for In The Night Garden Live too. Summer is shaping up just fine.

Lostbobbles · 31/03/2014 13:39

Junip - was looking at the pepp last night, very funky but heavy for what is

Lostbobbles · 31/03/2014 14:03

Sorry posted before finished....

The yoyo will be my travel buggy as I find the Bee heavy and large when folded for a compact buggy. Do love the baby jogger but unless I sell my bee couldn't really justify it.

Enjoy kiddicare nearly went to huggle today to have a play Grin

I was thinking about booking lollibop need to look at dates.

Lostbobbles · 31/03/2014 14:05

Ooo just seen it's now at Hatfield House now which is about 25 min from me Grin
