Oh dear PR. The best pics we have ever had were from Nursery. I plan to take all three for a shoot in the summer.

GTbaby · 14/12/2013 20:10

PR I want to do a nice photo shoot with the boys. But fear wasting money with a grumpy H.
My Canadian cousins have amazing family pictures take. Must be a package thing. They had lovely "fall" pictures taken in a forest with golden trees around them. And have just uploaded amazing Xmas pictures in the snow. They look like a model family. Just a lil Envy

YW you feeling better. I had similar thing in the summer. Not nice. But thank goodness (in a nice way) only you and dh had it.

Shock Moment yesterday mil gave h lucazade. I literally shouted across room -don't give him that. Right before bed time. FFS

VQ glad you got a nice gift

I lucked out today. H woke from nap early. But it's ok as I got some productive alone time Grin
Then sis calls "I'm coming over" result I think. She can help me with feeding H. She comes. She feeds. Then takes him home! Lol
And here is the bit were I almost cried. As she left A fell asleep! For 45mins. I was like Shock so wrote Xmas cards. Only two left Grin and wrapped more gifts, one left to wrap and another to buy.

Now trying to decide which cards to hand deliver and which to post. (Ie who will i bump into over next week anyway) Stamps are so expensive! Usually I post all but think I need to reassess that policy.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/12/2013 20:18

It was free at least. The photographer says he goes to the shop every few months so there will be more opportunities.

Also went to the village advent festival. It was quite spectacular last year but this year was shite.

PurplePidjin · 14/12/2013 21:13

All bar R's pressies wrapped. He has a lovely little stash, i got him some balloons for his stocking and dp bought a gorgeous jumper from the market so added to what we'd already bought he's a very lucky little fellow! I know where my present from dp is, should i peek?

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 14/12/2013 22:26

Another nightmare night. I am thinking happy thoughts of Sophia to help me through.

StuntNun · 14/12/2013 22:44

My old company is having their work Christmas party tonight. It's so painful to see all the photos on Facebook, it brings up a lot of resentment about the redundancy. ConfusedConfusedConfused

Hey, hope you are sleeping vq et al

We had a great night at the theatre. A brilliant annual tradition which we love. We had Christmas dinner today, presents for girls and a jolly time all round.

We have had one small challenge with DD1 and her Movie Start Planet account being hacked into and amorous messages being sent to a boy in her class. Shock she is worried about the social side! what will he say on Monday etc and obviously it has opened my eyes to the dangers she now faces on the internet. Messages were being sent from her account while we were trying to delete it at 23:30, so is obviously a much older person who has hacked in. Anyway, her account is now deleted. And I suggested she shares her social worries with a friend at the Brownie disco tomorrow, as it happened to the friend and she did not become a social pariah in her class.

Mummy emotionally drained. Proud of DD1 for telling me straightaway. Proud of DD2 who stood supportively by her big sister, who was a gibbery mess, while we tried to sort it.

Any hints and tips gratefully received. My dad with his educational bod hat on has suggested we let the school know as so many of them are on it.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/12/2013 00:36

I bet stunt, see! even as adults we are not immune to the impact of social media on our emotions.

GTbaby · 15/12/2013 00:39

PP he bought you a gift. Grin
Balloons for his stocking! Brilliant idea.

h has a book, dear zoo. And fat colouring pencils. A has a baby sign book and spot the dog.
Feel like I should give them more but also feel that they will get loads on the day from other family so what's the point. I'm just trying to make myself feel better by giving more iykwim.

Lily311 · 15/12/2013 03:34

gt o loves dear zoo. We need to read it every bedtime. I love that my girl loves books but 6 bedtime stories are draining me. Our current ones are not short either. She is so much like me, I can see her not coming out of her bedroom till lunchtime at the weekends just because she wants to read.

sophia yes, do let the school know.
I keep thinking about professional photos but than I have lovely pictures of her anyway. So will not waste the money just yet.

Had a good day yest with my nieces and nephews, than went to an outside bath with my dad. It was freezing cold but the water was so warm.

Pikz · 15/12/2013 06:52

Disaster night. I had a huge meltdown at 1am when we had done waking number 20.

We are away with my mum and she took him and he slept with her all night. I had 6 hours sleep. More than I've had in over a month.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/12/2013 07:10

Oh pikzsorry you had a difficult time my love! but hooray for mums hey!

GTbaby · 15/12/2013 08:10

Lily H loves books. Not part of our bedtime routine though. He has a bag for all his books downstairs. I love watching him get them all out and flick through the pages. The concentration on his face is gorgeous. Sometimes he points to the words like I do when reading to him. And I love that he picks a book and drags it over to me to read.

Soph your evening sounds great. In terms of the hacked account deff tell school. When things like this happen we do remind students of Internet safety rules. Prob with younger kids. Actually alot of ppl, is that passwords are simple and usually easy to guess.
I suggest you ask her what accounts she has, think of a new secure password together and change them all.

Pizk glad you slept in the end. Mums are heros!

FatimaLovesBread · 15/12/2013 10:32

Lol at GT thinking Trafford Centre was TTC Xmas ShockXmas Grin

chasing What concert did you go to? (Sorry I missed most of the last thread)

Hope you're feeling better yw

Mum babysat on Friday, she can do it more often. M pointed that she wanted to go to bed at 8 and grabbed her teddies and then she didn't wake til 8:30am Shock
Last night she slept 8:30-6:30am and then went back down for another two hours

Still no idea what to buy the Aunts and Uncles. Did photos last year. Ideally want to spend £5. I'm thinking of doing photo magnets on snapfish. I'm bored of shopping

ChasingDaisy · 15/12/2013 11:00

Morning quiche Smile

GT I am in awe of you. I can't believe how much you manage to achieve in a day. You are superwoman Grin

Pikz, I'm so sorry to hear of such rubbish-ness. Thank goodness for mummies.

Um.

I've met someone. Who is kinda my boyfriend ShockGrin it's still vair early days but going very well. I have kept quiet up to now as I didn't want to jinx it. But he is lovely. He has a 4 year old daughter who he has 50/50 custody of and treats me like a princess and I've finally had a shag Grin

YellowWellies · 15/12/2013 11:20

Chasing Shock at shag comment. Grin At having a bf. so give us all re details. not those ones! what is he like? How did you meet? is he near by?

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 15/12/2013 12:39

So glad you have had a shag Chasing Grin And I agree with you that GT is superwoman.

Glad you are feeling better YW x

ValiumHappyChristmasQueen · 15/12/2013 12:40

Pikz did your mum get any sleep?

GTbaby · 15/12/2013 12:40

Chasing only managed to do stuff because the boys love me enough to sleep at same time. Lol. A just woke.
Nap time today was spent helping mil making dinner. So not as fun today.

But I gota get the stockings finished today! It's my goal before bed. I've made them for all 7kids.
The idea was I would put their gifts in it for when they came on Xmas day. But now we aren't having Xmas day here it's just decorative. Although I'll put a few choc coins in for whenever they pop by.

ChasingDaisy · 15/12/2013 12:51

GT when O sleeps I barely manage to do the washing up, let alone anything else!

He is with his dad today so am eating mince pies and wrapping Christmas presents. Whilst wearing the Christmas jumper that my shag bought me Grin

So, more details. Met him online. Dating site. Messaged a lot and got on really well. He has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humour which I LOVE. Then we exchanged numbers and text pretty much non stop for a week. We had our 'first date' last night - although it felt more like a reunion than a first date Blush He lives in Bedford - so not far from me.

FlouncingIsles · 15/12/2013 13:45

Grin Grin Grin Chasing

Sorry for more shit nights pikz. I drove M 140 miles in sheer desperation on friday night. Little sod fell asleep as I turned back into the village...and woke up 10 mins after I transferred her to her cot. I actually did cry. I am going to tackle sleeping after xmas. Right now we are enforcing bedtime routine then doing whatever it takes to get through the night. probably counter productive.

I have my 2 best mumfriends coming over this afternoon. I am sooo excited! Really missing my social life going back to work, the three of us used to meet up a couple of times a week and went to all the same classes from day 1 (well before that actually, we met at pregnancy yoga!)

ChasingDaisy · 15/12/2013 13:49

Bloody hell Isles that's some epic driving Sad Do you have any idea what the issue is with her sleep? Can the quiche help you formulate a plan of action? Tell me to fuck off if you want Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 15/12/2013 13:50

chasingi thought you had gone a bit quiet but I didn't consider shagging!!! Grin what wonderful news. Xx
