I have ordered a humidifier. It has been recommended by folk many times but I have never been able to justify the cost. I saw one today for £12.50 in Argos clearance. I will no doubt wish I bought one 10 months ago and feel very silly. I hope it helps him. The snot may be from the soya yesterday. He had a small amount in bread and his rash flared up again.

Kyz Smile do not worry. I managed to catch up. It is quite quiet here atm. Probably because Pass is back at work Wink and PR is taking a break, and YW is on holiday and I feel I am always writing the same shit I bore even myself Grin

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 13:11

Well you don't bore us vq

Is there such a thing as a chair for them at this age - I realise that what I have just typed makes no sense haha. I'm after a chair that S can sit in when we are in the living room, but one that she can't fall out of iykwim?

Pikz · 30/08/2013 13:19

Vq you never bore. Personally you have helped me soooo much.

Fruit we have a fisher price one that I was given. It's quite good for that exactly and also it rocks.

PurplePidjin · 30/08/2013 13:21

I read. Then r bumped his head. So :) :o Sad Wine where needed.

Dp pleased with how he did. Basic salary is a bit meh but company car and ote excellent. And, more importantly, lovely colleagues in a pleasant office where he can feel respected.

Back better but not great. Off to Chasing's part of the world tomorrow for the weekend - www.vwaction.com if you fancy a mini meet on sunday lunchtime? R loved the drag racing when we were there at easter :)

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2013 13:25

Shucks (cannot work out how to blush on app) thank you SmileThanks

J is still in his bouncer. It is designed for up to 3 years of age. DD2 was climbing out of it by 6 months then trying to use it to catapult herself with so it was a liability. J is more of a thinker. It is a Baby Bjorn

Pikz · 30/08/2013 13:27

That's good news PP on DP and your back.

We appear to be getting back to an even keel here. He's eaten properly today so we haven't had screaming because he's hungry but won't eat and he's napped. An 1.5hour this morning and he's asleep again now. Having to rock him for his naps again but I feel he needs the rest and I don't need the fight at the moment.

Fingers crossed that's tooth 7 and 8 through.

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2013 13:28

PP company car sounds fab! It is a perk that the Tax Credits include in their calculations though, so make sure you keep them updated of any changes otherwise you might find they want money back next year. I am not sure how they calculate it, but then again I am not sure THEY know how they calculate ANYTHING!

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 13:40

Sounds good pp when will he hear back?

Ahh so such a thing does exist. That's good I'll go and have a proper search.

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 13:53

pikz is it this one ?

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 13:55

Sorry, just seeing if I can link from the app instead of safari. Ignore.

this one

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 13:57

Oh you can, I didn't know that. Sorry I'll stop clogging the thread with rubbish now.

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 14:23

Grrrr stupid app, anyone know why the link works on safari and not on the app? Sorry again for posting rubbish, but it annoys me when I can't do things properly. I hope it's just the app and not my stupidity. unbloodylikely

Kyz · 30/08/2013 15:10

woohoo chasing!

vq really hope the dehumidifier helps J :) I miss it being really busy on here but I guess everyone has lots to do now with being back at work etc and babies being on the move, it was always going to happen! I don't find you boring at all either, you've helped me with so many things over time most importantly my confidence. I'm sure i'd care for E perfectly fine without the quiche BUT having you and the others here for guidance and advice has given me the confidence and sureity i've needed to parent him without being a blubbing mess 24/7!

fruit the one on the link looks quite good, think mum was getting that for elyza. E could do with a seat method of restraint

That reminds me - what do people do with babies when they eat snacks? Must they always go in the highchair? He'll be in there all day if it's for snacks too. I would use the bumbo thing but he is so leggy he kicks off the floor and tips it over with ease. I had him sat on my knee today eating raisins but he's so wriggly and would prefer to get down and be about on the floor, but that doesn't seem safe so i'm not sure what to do.

brill news pp

glad things are getting better pikz

I've been really good today so far. Haven't done anything in the way of exercise as i haven't had time but never mind! Tuna pasta bake for tea, will save some for E for tomorrow as it won't be ready for when he eats. I've found myself doing this alot, saving him something from the day before, hoping this is ok!

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 15:42

kyz I often give S the tea we've had the next day, hasn't done her any harm yet I give S snacks either in her highchair or her stand up thingy she has, I gave her a snack while she was on the floor once but she started crawling all over the plate so I didn't bother again. I know what you mean about them always being in the chair though.

TheDetective · 30/08/2013 16:05

Fucking hell. Shitter of a day going down here.

There were tears mine before 10.

I am convinced he has had something he shouldn't have, but I don't know what it is, unless he got something when I wasn't looking yesterday. Confused

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 16:21

Thanks det how long does it normally take to get back to normal if it is something he's eaten?

TheDetective · 30/08/2013 16:30

Couple of days usually :(

PurplePidjin · 30/08/2013 16:34

Highchair here, but R isn't a regular snacker - i offer milk first, snacks are for if he's still hungry or I'm eating.

Back is under control with alternate ibuprofen and diclofenac. Fingers crossed he drops a wake tonight, the cot is a killer!

Lily311 · 30/08/2013 18:08

Highchair here today. She makes a lot of mess.
Hugs det.

I'm here though feeling a lot busier than 2 weeks ago, not sure why.

Very excited for chasing.

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 18:34

Baby in bed Smile Chinese takeaway on order Smile corrie not on because of stupid football Hmm

fruitpastilles · 30/08/2013 19:11

Well that didn't last long. Now she's wide awake downstairs with us crawling up and down the room as if she's in a race. Don't know why I dared to hope we'd have a bit of an evening to ourselves.

PurplePidjin · 30/08/2013 19:29
Wine

R went down easily at 6:55. I'm going to have the bath dp ran me and neck a glass of vino before it all goes Pete Tong!

ChasingDaisy · 30/08/2013 19:54

Whose bright idea was it to move house with a 9 month old again? Hmm Just spend two fecking hours getting him to sleep and am now on the way to the flat again with more boxes. Have ordered half of Ikea which should arrive in flat pack form at the flat at some point tomorrow.

TheDetective · 30/08/2013 20:01

I'm in bed.

Today was all kinds of shit.

Nuff said.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/08/2013 20:05

Woohoo chasing! When do you move in properly, or is that underway now?? Date sounds very promising too, it is nice to hear you sounding so positive.

Det Sad to early morning tears. Hope the day got better

VQ I wonder if Js snot is soya then? Sounds like it fits, doesn't it.

Pidj when does dp find out about the job?

Eliza enjoy your hols.

Ree-diculous day today, so busy. But have temporarily sat down now, ready to make monkey masks for the charity tea party on Sunday.
