Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

DH came upstairs as J was crying. I asked what time it was and he told me 1am and that he's get a bottle. I said no need as his shift over if it was as 1am. Fed J for ages, half an hour later still feeding and dh comes into J's room and says sorry I thought it was 1am and it musta been midnight as it's only half past now! Idiot! Settled J in cot and he's woken after 14 mins... Great! DH in with him but it sounds like we're going to have a crap night. By we I mean J and I. Not dh as he will sleep through it all!

itsnotyouitsMeals · 17/07/2013 00:55

Hugs izzy thinkingb

itsnotyouitsMeals · 17/07/2013 00:56

Of you! Hit the wrong button. Anyway. Sending sleep your way. Fingers crossed! X

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 17/07/2013 02:28

Hugs Izzy hope you are sleeping now.

S woke up and was really hot again. He's cooled rapidly though, and guzzled a bottle. I think he could legitimately be hungry as yesterday's intake was low. Hopefully he will conk out now. DH actually woke and dealt with it!!

*mm funny how much life can chAnge, isn't it?

eliza had a glimpse into world of hospital visits and it was scary, you manage so well when it must be so tough to be doing that regularly.

det madness. But milk intake will prob keep reducing as time marches on.

V interesting about range of baby sizes, isn't it? Must plot S's height and weight to see where he is.

We have the HV who specialises in nutrition coming tomorrow. I know she will say that DH and my diet is appalling. But mainly hoping to get a feel for whether we are feeding DD right in spite of this, or whether we need to make some changes. Will be interesting to hear what she says about toddler nutrition - DD is probably on the cusp of losing the ability to self regulate, so want to make sure we are getting the offered food right. Am a bit nervous of specifically inviting someone to judge me/us though.

Donnadoon · 17/07/2013 03:00

Sorry madame I overlooked your scare earlier...must have been bloody awful for you, fingers crossed he stays well now, and can be put down to one of those things. Be confident in yourself tomorrow, easier said than done I know. And blag it a bit...don't tell her about yours and DH diet Grin

izzybizzybuzzybees · 17/07/2013 03:29

I've just woken up on mattress in floor of J's room. Have no recollection of going there at all. He's just fed again and I've brought him into my bed as won't go in cot. I can't be bothered keeping trying it after last night.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/07/2013 06:10

Madame he are you feeling today that must have been draining yesterday, so glad to here everything is ok.

mm that flat is to die for but not as yum as Little Matilda!

izzy hoe you gat restorative zzzzzzzzzzzz

I spent last night scrap booking all my mums old photos ( a very essential task in packing up the house Hmm ) quite emotional. There is one taken of her reading with her back to the camera on what must have been her very last holiday and she was very ill. i have put it right at the end. Sad Treated myself to a Ben an jerrys afterwards!

StuntNun · 17/07/2013 06:23

I had a lovely time at the meet today, it's amazing how well we all know each other from on here isn't it?

What a scare Madame. (((Hug))) Glad you're all home now.

I don't know how people manage without a canine cleaning team either Kirrin. Mine will even hoover up broccoli but draws the line at banana. She can even get her head right into the seat if there's food squished in there. Blush

Eliza J is on the 50th centile and about to go into size 12-18 months, not because of his length but because of his fat round tummy! My other two are long and thin, all their trousers have to be taken in by several inches but they are both between 2nd and 9th percentiles.

It sounds like E is getting a lot of solid food Kyz, maybe he just doesn't need much milk any more. If you're worried about how much he's taking why not use vitamin drops?

Is it the cost Detective? I know when DS1 was on immunotherapy, the tablets are expensive so they would never give me more than one packet. Try telling them you're going on holiday for a couple of weeks so you need a bigger supply temporarily, then get the next lot a few days early so you at least have a cushion in case your DP forgets again you can't get them in time.

I hope you got some rest later Izzy. My J's sleep sounds similar to your J's, albeit not as bad, and in his case it boils down to the reflux and intolerances. When we were both egg free and his meds are working well he sleeps with two or three wake ups at night and naps during the day (this has only happened for a few nights so far). When I've eaten egg or his meds aren't working so well due to teething then I'm up and down with him all night and/or bringing him into bed to get at least some rest. It's hard to be so ultra strict with your diet though, especially as it seems such tiny traces can cause such a big upset.

I had to do a huge catch up there, my mum agreed to babysit again glutton for punishment and DH and I went to the pub. Grin

Brilliant stunt, some time alone. Hope you had a good evening. Xx

fruitpastilles · 17/07/2013 07:04

Wow, I put S to bed at 5:30 last night, she had her afternoon nap earlier and was clearly knackered, I fully expected a terrible night, but the little darling slept through until her normal time Smilethe only downside is that dp didn't get to see her as she was already in bed when he come home from work.

eliza S is 8 months (35weeks) and at 33 weeks was 19lb 3, she had gone from 50th centile to 75th and is in 6-9 month clothes.

stunt nice that you got a night off Smile hope you enjoyed it.

fruitpastilles · 17/07/2013 07:05

izzy hope you managed to get a few hours in the end!

PetiteRaleuse · 17/07/2013 07:05

Morning. Not a bad night here. Hope babygazelle is OK.

Sweary fucking Wednesday. Am furious at self for mishandling the situation with work. Woke up suddenly at about 6 and shouted fuck! Yep, in true sweary Wednesday style.

I'll update on FB. Nothing major though. Grrr.

Passmethecrisps · 17/07/2013 07:35

Good morning

Glad all is well madam. Hope LO stays well today.

Things sure do change when rug rats come along, mm. I will have a wee skeg at that flat later.

eliza p was weighed at 34 weeks and was 15Ib 6oz so 9th centile. She wears almost exclusively 3-6 clothes but some are getting too short. The 6-9 stuff I have for her looks massive though! She was born on the 50th but has tracked the 9th for a good while.

That weight gain is amazing PP! Little R obviously suits solids.

kyz I have been having the same dilemma about going to 4 bottles from 5. I convinced myself I was starving her. P actually seems happier on 4. E sounds like a champion nommer now and I sounds like you are following his lead. What's the worst that can happen? He gets hungry and you need to make him a bottle.

Having said that I was needing a quiche slap yesterday. P has started eating pretty well recently (sucking the stuff right out the EK pouch Blush ) so seems to be taking less milk. I was having a wobble yesterday when she took 25oz all day. How quickly I forget that pre-omeprazole days 25oz was a hi-5 day!

No plans for today. Supposed to be hot. Might make the most of my season ticket and go and see the meerkats.

Evilwater · 17/07/2013 07:46

Thank fuck it's weary Wednesday!

n still has his cough, it's not gone away and has slightly gotten worse. So much for it will clear huh! And was two weeks ago. Sad Angry now he has mucosy liquid poos, and now this morning vommed twice! Not a little bit but big ones!!!!!!

I hate smelling like a fucking gone off milk carton! Off to the drs. They open in half an hour.

Evil

PetiteRaleuse · 17/07/2013 07:48

Could the mucous in his stools be phlegm from his cough that he is coughing up then swallowing? I hope the GP can help it has been going on for ages.

Evilwater · 17/07/2013 07:53

PR I'm not very happy at the mo, as he vommed on his milk and his porridge. He coughs so much he makes him self sick. No temp, thankfully! But still he's not gotten better.
For fuck skates! My poor lad.
Evil

BigPigLittlePig · 17/07/2013 07:53

Morning all.

Madam glad S is doing better, hope you managed to get some sleep amidst worrying.

Izzy Sad Thanks

Det we have the same problem. Currently got enough for todays bottles, so will have to drag my sorry arse down to the chemist. I wrote a note to the GP to say could we have 4 tubs, as, even though F is only having 2/3 bottles a day, a tub lasts 3-4 days max. Sometimes she'll drain 8oz, other times only 3. Hopefully they have obliged. To complicate matters, they're updating their prescribing system cannot issue repeat prescriptions between 20th July and 5th August. Fuuuuuck!

Slept like a log, but still feel rotten. It hurts to breath Confused. Good job I've got a day off work!

Kyzordz · 17/07/2013 07:54

Moooorning! How is that little gazelle doing today?

evil I'm not sure about n's poo, sorry, how is he in himself?

Hope you feel better soon bplp or else I have a feeling you'll make good use of sweary fucking weds!

mm things change so drastically with a small person about don't they??

Eric keeps leaning forward for toys and farting. Making me laugh and then he smirks at me and carries on hehehehehe

Make sure you swear plenty pr. It's rather early for a swearathon but I shall nobbing well have one!

Oh izzy I feel awful for you every morning after reading about your night :( I keep hoping there's been a small miracle and j randomly slept through or something

Hope it goes well with the nutritionist madame

sophia that sounds like a lot of emotional hard work :( hugs

stunt that is a logical way to look at it Blush I am just getting used to less milk not being such a bad thing. I'm going to see how he goes with 3 bottles and if it doesn't work out its as simple as making another :) will look at it that way. He must be eating plenty and drinking enough milk as he sleeps right through. He is still a bugger at breakfast but you can't have everything!

That's really good fruit!! 5:30 bedtime, goshes!

pass when you're used to worrying about intake it's hard not to keep monitoring it really isn't it? And even though you know it goes more solids less milk, when they start doing it its a bit eek worthy Blush

Oh no evil hope you get on ok at the drs

PurplePidjin · 17/07/2013 07:56

and Brew to those in fucking need.

Down at 6:45, 5 minute resettle at 8, 10 minute feeds at 11 and 3. Does that count as one wake and a dream feed?!?!

Evilwater · 17/07/2013 07:59

kyz ok but not right, very clingy which isn't him also he has been very tired too. Which also isn't like him.
Evil

Passmethecrisps · 17/07/2013 08:09

Oh yeah prescriptions.

What is all that about?

When p moved from nutramigen 1 to 2 the GP upped the Tins from 4 to 5. Every time I am in they ask if I have plenty and why don't I just get another prescription while I'm in. I order approximately once a week and always have a full 5 tins under the sofa. When I said to my GP about this he said "good!" Why would they limit how much you can have in such an extreme way? I second saying you are going on holiday and getting twice as much then order weekly to have a stash squirrelled away.

Big hugs sophia. Hope you enjoyed your ice cream.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/07/2013 08:19

I have three weeks left in the office. FOREVER. I have lists coming out of my ears! You all would be proud of me in my listness. Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/07/2013 08:20

Thanks pass kyz was not easy and has taken me a long time to get to do it. But I feel good. And the sofa feels sticky after my gay abandon with the spray mount!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/07/2013 08:20

I will save my swearfest for later.

Evilwater · 17/07/2013 08:21

Grrr... Fuckers! It's past 815! Answer the call
