Faith I love my Kindle paperwhite. I did have a normal kindle but the paperwhite is great because I can now read in the dark - and I read loads when feeding Evan at night or even when he is asleep on me in the daytime. Most of the books I have downloaded are free ones too...
Trish hope today went okay. H seems to be doing really well - and hurrah to finally make it into 0-3 clothes.
Bird we had pixifotos done with DD1 but never bothered with DD2 or with Evan. The ones of DD1 were not great but we still bought them! I don't recall them being very expensive. I think the way it worked back then but it may have changed is that we had the shots done and then went back a few days later to actually have a look and buy any we wanted.
We have HUGE canvases of DD1 and DD2 on our living room wall. They were taken by professional photographers when each DD was about 2 and are printed in black and white. I love them and am already planning on where to put one of Evan in a couple of years time. (We house swap though and I do wonder what our house swappers make of our kids smiling down on them
)
Evan had his 6 week check today - the catch-up one now that he is really 6 weeks old. He came through this time with flying colours and everything is all good; heart murmur has gone and he responded properly to all the 'tests' - unlike last time when he wouldn't/couldn't even open his eyes. He now weighs 12lb 7oz and is 58cm long and has a head circumference of 39cm all of which puts him at pretty much the 50 centile for a 6 week old (not bad as he will be 13 weeks old tomorrow).
And last night he went 5 hours from about 8.30pm to 1.30am between feeds which his is longest so far by nearly an hour. He has been asleep since about 7.30pm so we wait to see what he gets up to tonight. I did have to put his dummy back in when he woke at about 11pm last night - we have always done that whilst we get his milk ready but last night he just went back to sleep. Regarding his milk, we are mixing the normal/allergy formula so that his stomach can adapt easier than a staight switch as he has been rather sicky since DP 'messed him around' over the weekend. We will probably still end up with about 6 untouched tins of the prescribed stuff so I will ask around and see if anyone wants it locally.
And I have joined a crochet group! I tried to teach myself using Youtube when I was PG but whilst it was okay I didn't get too far so I have joined a local FB group and we are all meeting up next week (once the festival is over and we can all venture out on the roads again!)
Hope everyone has a good night.
