Grin

He wishes!

They would run away screaming from the smell of sweat.

Dunno who stinks more in the morning, DP or O. Seriously, you can tell it runs in the family. Hmm

YellowWellies · 14/05/2013 23:01

Det I'm showing my age but any man who used a hair drier let alone straighteners would be on a final warning!!! / cause of pant pissing hysteria Wink Oh god please may Jonas not want hair styling gadgetry when he grows up Confused

Just made banana, pecan and maple syrup muffins - dairy and soy free - totally rocking Grin Smile Smile Smile Smile

TheDetective · 14/05/2013 23:04

DS1 uses the hairdryer too..... Grin

Jealous of muffins. :(

I've put 3lb on Confused.

I'm blaming my period. I've been so fucking good it's unreal.

StuntNun · 14/05/2013 23:07

Water retention gets me every month Detective that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

I put 5lb on thursday night after tea cried laughed it off, and figured stew was just filling. Since then I've fluctuated between 3-5lb above what I weighed last thursday.

Ok, so my period was due thursday and was 5 days late, but still. I could have accepted staying the same!

Bastard!

Bryzoan · 14/05/2013 23:11

50 minutes till I can appropriately share my thoughts on 6 month sleep regressions.

TheDetective · 14/05/2013 23:15

I'll be ready and waiting bryz and nodding my fucking head manically.

kirrinIsland · 14/05/2013 23:41

With you on that bryzoan N is on her third wake up since 8. And is doing that thing where she sleeps in my arms and then wakes the second I put her down. Drives me mental.

Just going to back and catch up.

TheDetective · 14/05/2013 23:44

Does anyone know what this is all about?

Why is my child back to sleeping in a moses basket, and needing 30 minutes in arms before transfers?

This is newborn shit!

Please, someone save my sanity before I post asking everyone else WHY????! WHHHHHHY!!!!

kirrinIsland · 15/05/2013 00:22

No idea detective If you find out can you tell me. All I know is that every time I think we are finally getting somewhere, something like this happen. I could cry.

Passmethecrisps · 15/05/2013 00:33

It's started alfuckingready

Kyzordz · 15/05/2013 01:11

Thank fuck for sweary fucking Wednesday. Should've never dared hope for a better fucking night. Vom everywhere. He's down to his last cot sheet, then fuck knows what I'll do. Surely he'll run the fuck out soon?! Poor baby. 1hr 45 sleep. Fucking hell, go me.

Fuuuuuuuuuck.

ValiumQueen · 15/05/2013 02:49

Oh dear xxxx hugs to all who need them xxxx

I am up with a poorly 3yo. Makes a change I guess. She is not too bad, no heat in her, but coughing incessantly. Have been up since 1. Retreated to bed at one point but DH is snoring so no sleep had.

She has done a pee on the potty twice bless her (proud)

ValiumQueen · 15/05/2013 03:01

Kyz I have some old sheets cut up and hemmed for emergencies. Sometimes with vom just putting a towel over it is as best as Ivan manage, especially when they are older. If I am expecting a bad night I will layer up the bedding - waterproof sheet, top sheet and repeat a few times so instead of stripping and remaking bed I just remove a layer. It is for this reason that vomitous children are not allowed in my bed. I would rather sleep on their floor than change my super king bed more often than weekly.

ValiumQueen · 15/05/2013 03:02

Who the fuck is Ivan? I can!

StuntNun · 15/05/2013 03:06

Too tired to think of anything to say. I'm wrecked. Why is it so hard to work out what is wrong? I really didn't expect to still be getting up multiple times per night with a six month old.

kirrinIsland · 15/05/2013 03:15

Jeez, there are a few people having shit nights tonight :(

kyz and VQ hope the illnesses sod off quickly Thanks

And hoping for a better second half of the night for everyone else.

Lily311 · 15/05/2013 04:09

Guess what?? She slept from 6.45 till 4.30. I feel like a different person, she is still asleep after draining a 4 oz bottle.

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2013 04:38

Fuck

9:45
12
12:40
2:15
4:30

All feeds excepte 12:40

Bryzoan · 15/05/2013 04:39

Hope the little ones get better soon kyz and vq. Vq I sympathise. Dh's snoring and night terrors are part of the reason I sleep with g in the spare room at the moment. I can mostly cope with being woken lots by the kids, but not dh too. I am dreading our spare room becoming g's room - I need a bolt hole.

Stunt and det I am with you in wondering what the fuck is going on.

Off now to try for a few more precious slithers of sleep.

Go little lily btw :-)

Bryzoan · 15/05/2013 04:41

Oh pidj [coffee]

kirrinIsland · 15/05/2013 05:08

Well done minilily :)

Brew to pidj Your night sounds like mine.

I sitting feeding and my eyes are shutting. I'm going to have to stand up in a minute.

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2013 05:54

Well done minilily

Dp did 40 mins dummy stuffkng. I've done a nappy now feeding to give him a break then they'll go downstairs for breakfast and i can sleep

Mine do that kirrin, it's why i surf the net during feeds!

StuntNun · 15/05/2013 07:23

Me too Pidj, that's why I was scouring eBay for wigs at 3 a.m. DS1 and DS2 are having a crazy hair and socks day at the end of the month

I reread my post from about 9 last night and thought if someone else had written that I would say 'silent reflux'. But J only wriggles and squirms in the daytime, night feeds he's usually quite relaxed. He never minds being put down to lie on his back. But on the other hand he has always been a crappy sleeper and he is still pulling hour-long feeds where if I unlatch him early he roots for the nipple again so I don't think it's comfort sucking. No fucking clue what to do but six months of shitty sleep seems excessive. I can count the nights of decent sleep I've had since J was born on the fingers of one hand. I thought DS2 was as bad a sleeper as they get but at six months he was sleeping well enough to get moved into his big brothers room so he can't have been waking us four times a night. I'm sure DS1 and DS2 were waking once a night for a feed at this age.

J woke at 5.30 a.m. again today even though his night feed finished after 4. Is it the light? I wanted to put a cover over the blinds but DH wasn't keen. It's been 5.30 just about every day for the past couple of weeks.

Sorry for the whiny post, it's really got on top of me lately. Confused

Go with the cover stunt. What do you have to lose?
