Nope pass, stump is still intact shrivelled in a box. I should really get rid of that, it is a bit gross.

S loves Mio Mao on milkshake. Our aerials broke so just using the players and when that comes on trying to get her to look anywhere else is impossible.

If I thought the other night was crap last night was worse!! He woke every two hours and wanted fed each time!!! I discovered a tooth yesterday, could it be teething that's causing it? Should I give him anything?

Tried sme mushed banana this morning, still mouth clamped shut and IF I get any in he just gags...what's the consensus? Keep trying or wait a week or two? He's 25 weeks 2days

PetiteRaleuse · 26/04/2013 10:23

I'd wait izzy if lo is like this with every food. Banana is a good first food but can make babies gag a little as it is gooey and sticky.

Try again maybe in a week or even a couple of days with something else.

Can't help with teething I think we are a while off here.

I hate daddy long legs. They are the worst thing...ever. There is no point to them at all. Just flap about being usless. I also hate wasps and flies too. That's the worst thing about summer, flies get in the house. I have fly screens everywhere. I'm a bit obsessed about it!

pr Yeah I get what you mean about the anti french thing. Funny since she lives there! One of the things I've taken out of it is they have very set boundaries but also let certain things slide. I can't remember exactly the word they use but begins with b. I guess it's a bit like us picking our battles. I also like the way they view mealtimes and have tried to do that from the start with DD1 and will do with E. Its actually reassured me that I'm not doing a bad job at being a mother which I think I needed. I felt I was turning into a horrible shouty parent but I think I'm turning it around...slowly.

DD1 was a bit Mr Tumble obsessed. Now it's all blimming disney princesses, not sure which ones worse!

izzy I use teeth granules which seem to help E. Ones I have a called teetha. I got off amazon but think you can get from boots and other chemists. And yes, i'd wait a little while longer before trying anymore puree. Butternut squash was the one that went down the best with E. Think it's cos it's very sweet and also has a nice texture. Banana can be gloopy.

Gosh, you lot were chatty last night! I haven't even finished reading the old thread yet.

izzy, stunt and pig I am sorry to hear of rubbish night's. Brew Thanks

As for teething we find dentinox teething gel good, O gets excited when he sees the tube now. We also keep a few teethers in the fridge for him to gum on.

I'm sorry, I can't remember who asked about weaning Blush But if baby is keeping mouth clamped shut, I would leave it for a week or so and take baby's lead.

Glad to hear catpig is coming home today. Let us know how he is getting on.

Madam I had a toe op to have a mole removed and I found it a great excuse to get colleagues to go to the photocopier/printer/water cooler for me.

A better night here last night. He managed a 4hr 45 first stretch. Gave him just 3oz at second feed again, he was still hungry but went back to sleep and didn't wake for a feed again until 7 which is good. He was in with me from 5:30 but I am picking my battles at the moment and the feeding issue comes first.

Now sofa pinned whilst awaiting MIL, SIL and O's baby cousin. Awkward o'clock.

Woohoo had a better night last night. For 4.5 hours sleep in one go! I slept in my adult bed instead of in her room. Woke at 11pm for a feed than just after 4am I woke as my boob was leaking. She was just starting to toss and turn so fed her then. Went back down till we woke at half 8. She was laying there awake playing.
She may have woken more but I didn't hear her. In fact at 11pm I didn't hear her, DH came up from downstairs and got her before I woke up. Shows how tired I was.

I hate wwf, I seem to be being dealt the shittest letters ever.

M is looking very girly and grown up today, scares me

Right I'm planning holiday packing today, any helpful hint or tips from anyone? I bet I end up with 30kg for M and 10kg each for me and DH Grin

Sounds like a shitty afternoon ahead for you chasing good luck and Flowers

After such gorgeous sunshine the last couple of days it's a bit of a downer that it is now grey and pissing it down outside. Anyway. Sunday we are going to the local farm which is having an open day. Cows and goats, chickens and pigs. Should be fun.

Next weekend there is a festival in the village and a big firework display. Yay. Need to ask neighbours if we will be able to see it from the house, so that we don't actually need to go. It's at the castle and you can see the castle from DD1's bedroom so fingers crossed.

Oh yes, do keep us entertained with MIL and competitive baby snippets chasing

Fatima no no no, I keep being dealt the shittest letters. It is a well known fact that there are very few words that can be made with 7 vowels. And even fewer than contain X, Q and J.

F is in her cot for the 2nd nap of the day. I've been using the cot white noise/lullaby thing in the hope that she associates it with sleep. It still took well over 10 minutes of bobbing up and down to get her to go off though. And I totally see now why drop-side cots are a Good Thing. And am in no way a teeny bit pissed off that I didn't get one instead went for the pretty cot that matched the room

Report
Elizadoesdolittle · 26/04/2013 11:47

Bigpig I got a cot with a drop down side. I didn't get the cot bed I originally wanted as it didn't have a drop side. I have never used the drop side....

Report
Passmethecrisps · 26/04/2013 12:04

I haven't used the drop side yet but it won't be long. I looked into it and it was generally felt that if you were short then a drop side would be helpful. I can already see times when it will get used. Being 5ft 2 puts me firmly in short.

And I agree that daddy long legs are horrendous. I can handle most things but they make me shriek. They fly at you all brazen. When I was very young I pulled the legs and wings off one and claimed I had found it that way. I think my fear probably stems from knowing I will come back as one!

Report
BigPigLittlePig · 26/04/2013 12:10

I'm not even short - but the only way she doesn't wake up immediately on transfer, is if I have my head right next to hers, as if we were co-sleeping, for a few minutes. Back. Broken.

pointedly ignores daddy long legs on grounds of them being beyond disgusting

Pikz · 26/04/2013 12:37

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/04/2013 12:50

Bigpig ouch, I see your point!

I'm a short arse but have been ok without dropping it. Perhaps I'll start just so I use the bloody thing.

Detective I am so glad weaning is going so well for you. I know we both said we had planned to wait but it seems as though the Oscar's had other ideas! O2 loves food. He isn't big on milk, so it is nice to see him enjoying something.

Damn, there was something else I was going to say but I forgot.

Ok, inlaw rant time.

Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit

So, O was asleep when they got here and woke up to find MIL and SIL right in his face. SIL then took O for a cuddle. He cried. I said I would take him back. She said no. I took him off of her anyway. Cue sour face.

Apparently I don't get O weighed enough. Yeah, ok.

MIL took O and just sat him in front of the TV. Me: "Perhaps O would like to play with some of his toys" MIL: "No he's fine, he likes watching TV"

Then it was competitive parenting 101. Which baby can sit up unaided, which one can pick up toys, etc etc...

MIL told O off for chewing his muslin.

There was a lot of crying from O today, he really doesn't like SIL. She was holding him and he was screaming with tears rolling down his face. She walked off with him and wouldn't even let him look at me Sad. Poor sod caught a glimpse of me and stopped crying to smile, so she took him off again so he couldn't see me and he kept screaming. He was very distressed, I was very Angry

There, that was cathartic Smile

Remind me why you let them in chasing? Time for them to fuck right off to the far side of fuck and then keep going I think. SIL sounds partiicularly vile. I wouldn't trust her with one of g's teddy bears!

Your life will be so much better when they are no longer in it. I know they will have to be in it to a certain extent but as he gets older you will feel happier about that.

It's not a very exciting castle by the way. And the bastard castle means house prices in my village and rent of course are far higher than they should be.
