helloo lovelies, posted last night but seems our slow internet has lost it.
running how did you get on last night?
Paed advice was following: put to bed, then go in every 5,10,20,30min shushpat, change nappy if needed, no cuddles, feeding or eye contact, and walk out, persevere for more than one night.
Last night I fed her and she fell asleep at 7.30, woke up 8.15 (always 45min) and took her 45min to go back to sleep. DP and I took turns. She then woke up at 1.45 and took about two hours to settle, which is pretty much whAt happens anyway, then slept until 7.45am. it was very tough as I can see she was fighting sleep, but got there at the end. today so far she had two naps 30min and 20min self settled for first, and dp rocked her for the second. I am now attempting the third nap so outside her room, she is chatting to herself but looks tired. I would like to add that the paed gave this advice based on the long chat we had about her food and sleep routine and he examined her as well. She is currently on three meals a day, some a hit and miss (mostly breakfast, but sometimes lunch or supper) and is bf 4-5 times a day(+up to twice during the night so far).
So her day was
7ish (depending on how night went) bf
8ish breakfast
9.30ish bf and fed to nap
10ish nap anying between 30min and 1.5h
12ish lunch
1.30ish bf to nap
2ish nap usually 30-45min if we are at home, or pram if we are out
sometimes fit another bf
6ish supper
7 bath
7.30 feed to sleep
So we are aiming for more structured days and no night feeds
Hope this is helpful, will keep you posted
chick went to SB one, indeed family room fab, if quite busy.. by the time we got there, fed the babies, change one, than the other, then had lunch where babyCava tried to eat the menu while no one was looking, and everying within reach, we had to go home, but managed a couple of shops and I boughtna scarf (just to justify the trip
