Det either his dose needs upping or he's got an issue with his milk - CMPI? Well those would be my guesses. So sorry hon Sad

MM was lovely to see you - am looking forward to meeting other haggis afficionados on Tuesday Smile

Pikz · 08/03/2013 20:00

I have a wheezy baby...not terrible but noticeable. Should I be concerned?

Reading online it's quite normal but being a paranoid mother obviously.

Pikz · 08/03/2013 20:00

Sorry detective....wish we could make it betterSad

Best get it checked pikz could be a touch of bronchiolitis. How does the chest look? Is his wee head going in and out the neck like a tortoise? Fever? Eating? Weeing?

detective bugger!

ValiumQueen · 08/03/2013 20:18

I am looking forward to it too YW

Pikz · 08/03/2013 20:22

Oh will check head in morning, thanks VQ. He is weeing, pooing, eating though posseting more than usual.

He is a bit whinny but that was tiredness.

TheDetective · 08/03/2013 20:34

Detective is feeling sad again. :(

Must stop feeling sorry for self and grow a big pair of hairy bollocks!

ValiumQueen · 08/03/2013 20:37

pikz I would think you would have noticed if it was. Thankfully the babies are all a lot older and tougher, so if it is bronchiolitis it is unlikely to mean an admission to hospital. If you are worried, take him to OOH or A&E.

J is pooped tonight and is already in bed. I am soon to follow him.

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/03/2013 20:38

detective if come Monday they have no solutions I'm out of here. If I stay in much longer I'll go absolutely insane and be no good to anyway. I'll have been in for 10 days by then. Plenty of time for them to work out an action plan. E can't be the first baby that this has ever happened too. I just worry that if I do self discharge I'll have a mark on my name or they'll get social services involved. Not that I have anything to hide. Oh I don't know. I'm not in the frame of mind for making rational decisions. I do know that I'll be popping home for a bit before I go back to the hospital as I want some other clothes. DH has bought me some strange clothes in. Not sure if going home for a bit will make me feel better or worse. I don't think DH and DD1 are going to be there which is probably better. DD1 would get confused as to why I was going away again.

Sorry I have read the thread now but brain is mush and I can't remember anything!

ValiumQueen · 08/03/2013 20:39

detective go and have a play with your fanny stretchers?

TheDetective · 08/03/2013 20:46

I would but I'm feeding the baby Grin.

Too much to do, too little time! We have to build a sodding computer desk, chair and put up the actual computer tonight! Along with blowing balloons up and putting banners out. Waaaah!

StuntNun · 08/03/2013 20:58

Dipshit DH just put a load of washed and dried towels into the washing machine for a wash. Apparently it was my fault for leaving them in a washing basket in the kitchen. My defence that he was in the kitchen when I took them out of the dryer was not sufficient. Arsehole.

Oh eliza nothing useful to say but big hugs, really hope you get somewhere soon

detective that's not good :( hope it does work, back to the drawing board is a wanky place to be :( I hope your little (well, big growing up type!) boy has a lovely birthday :)

Dp is back now :D celebrating with a chinese :) e is asleeps, had an ok day, not brilliant but not shitty so is ok!

Octopus hat has a fully functioning Pom Pom! Scarf has tassels. That is all I have had time for today :(

I am in Loughborough horsey no idea if that is north or south Leicestershire or not!

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 21:10

Pikz get LO checked out just in case if it continues. DD1 was 20 mo when her wheeziness turned into pneumonia within a couple of days. Extreme case, no logic behind it. Tonight put a folded up towel under the mattress or a pillow between the sheet and the mattress to keep LO at an angle. Elevated head will help breathing. I'm sure you know all this. Not affecting appetite though so no need to Panic.

Watching Skyfall. If this is the best ever Bond I won't bother with the rest.

Pikz · 08/03/2013 21:13

THank you pr. weirdly was staring at cot mattress earlier thinking how do you elevate it safely!

I will ring doc on Monday. Will keep an eye all weekend and if it gets worse go to a&e.

kirrinIsland · 08/03/2013 21:15

Thanks Eliza I hope you get some answers and an escape route soon.

I had other stuff to say but my mind has gone blank funny how that keeps happening

I am hoping that last night was a blip and that N isn't really going back to waking every hour. Things are a bit tense with DP and I and I'm sure it's cos we're both tired and cranky. Trouble is, he thinks it's just me that's cranky. If I changed my attitude, he'd be fine apparently.

Moan moan moan - sorry!

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 21:16

Eliza LO was just a few weeks when she was admitted, and only a couple of days, but hospitals give me real anxiety, the only I have ever experienced. Go home. Just for a few hours. Have a break, a shower at home, a snooze, a few hours of normality. If no-one can replace you E will be looked after. I went home overnight on day two but even a couple of hours would have been enough.

DH spent a week in with DD1 over New Year, and the 45 minutes he spent at home in that time kept him sane. Give yourself a break. An hour, or two, or a few hours. Whatever you can. And next week you'll both be home.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 21:19

pikz you could even stack a few paperbacks under the mattress. I have a humidifier in the bedroom too - but a bowl of hot water helps breathing too

kissyfur · 08/03/2013 21:26

Hope LO is ok Pikz

Ahh, finally both DD's in bed, DP out for the night so having a nice relaxing evening to myself, could really do with a Wine tho! Have just been laughing my head off at a classics thread about funny things kids say, have a read if you can ladies, so so funny.

Hoping everyone gets a good rest tonight.

Kyzordz · 08/03/2013 21:40

Grr, dp has cold Chinese as he has had to go and rescue one of my idiot brothers. He is at a party and has drank an entire bottle of whiskey amongst other things. I could throttle him! He's only been with us since he turned 15 but he is 18 now and should bloody know better. His gf rang as he is puking his guts up. I am not surprised! Am waiting to hear he picks him up safely, bro's gf hasn't the foggiest of where they are, dp has gone to where they shouldve been and it isn't there so is checking elsewhere.

sweetpea1112 · 08/03/2013 22:03

Gah 2.5 hours for his long stretch of sleep. I could cry. Why is his sleep just getting worse and worse? Am at a complete loss. I don't know how to make this better.

BigPigLittlePig · 08/03/2013 22:04

kirrin my dh sounds like yours - his attitude is apparently just fine, whereas mine is not. I'm not so sure.

kyz hope your dp returns home soon with your brother who could do with borrowing the quiches wet fish for a quick slap perhaps

Off to bed now, dh is on the ps3 so there'll be no snoring for a while! F has been asleep since 8.30, seems to be her preferred bedtime for this week, wonder what it'll be next week, contrary little madam. Wishing good nights for everyone, and tonight I will share sleepy dust as nicking it did bugger all xx

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 22:11

Just woke LO for a last feed. Otherwise no way she'll go through at her current troughing rate.

Wtching Chatty Man. New for me as only got UK TV a few months ago. I hope he is as funny in real life.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/03/2013 22:12

Not that I'd ever meet him. But hope he isn't just a twat.
