My girls hated the Jumperoo and the swing.

J has a very long body and add in cloth nappies, he is growing out of gros very quickly. He i wearing 0-3 trousers still though. He is about 16lb. Not had him weighed for weeks.

BigPigLittlePig · 29/01/2013 16:17

Thanks vq

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:18

J is asleep on his changing mat. I need all the patients in one room.

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:19

Thank you BP

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/01/2013 16:20

Oh vq < runs to leap on plane armed with supplies and comforting things>

It's rotten.

Xxx

Pikz · 29/01/2013 16:22

VQ I wish I could come help! Shall I post chocolate? Xx

gardenpixies32 · 29/01/2013 16:25

I must have very dinky daughters. They were 12lbs exactly & 12lbs7 at 17+6 weeks! They are long though and in 3-6 month clothes.

ChunkyChicken · 29/01/2013 16:25

Thanks VQ will you ever get a break? It'll pass...

Read the threads as well, seeing lots of names on the stats that disappeared and remembering how nervous & excited I was makes me quite nostalgic!! Where are they now?

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:28

It's bloody rotten. I was just beginning to feel as if I was getting somewhere. Most of the vomit seems to be mucus related. J has yet to hurl. I am so upset my breast milk is not protecting him. The girls did not get ill at all until I stopped feeding, but they were summer babies. He is good and fat so at least has some reserves. Very high temp, obviously in pain, drop in appetite but feeding more frequently, snotty, occasional cough. No wheeze or strained breathing yet.

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:29

Thanks guys x

ChunkyChicken · 29/01/2013 16:31

Oh and had A weighed. Bearing in mind he was 6lb 15oz at birth, he is now 13lb 6lb!! DD wasn't this weight until over 26wks, DS is 11+2!! I think he will have doubled his birth weight by 3mths at this rate. He's tracking just above 50th centile.

fatima I think? A is still in 0-3 but sleepsuits & bodysuits are getting snug, separates still fit him ok, hoodies etc are usually too long & narrow. Will be going to the next size soon I expect.

gardenpixies32 · 29/01/2013 16:36

Missed your posts VQ. I hope everyone feels better soon. Sorry you are having such a rotten time. It will pass Brew

PetiteRaleuse · 29/01/2013 16:46

November was a bad time of year to be born VQ it's normal that he is ill so often, especially with older siblings bringing everything back from school. Ty and rest a little Thanks

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:49

We can finish this thread tonight I reckon. Pass make sure you get it this time.

Thechick · 29/01/2013 16:49

zcos thank you very much for the snap23 recommendation. I think it's great.
I was on the first thread too. I joined mid march. We have come a long way.
I'm just left the hospital for a routine appointment for the LO. Just went to the scbu to give them a thank you photo. I do think about the scbu all the time. It was such a small amount of time but such an important time in LO's life. I wish that I kept in touch with more people to see how their babies are doing. The one person who's email I do have, their baby was born at the same age as mine but didn't make it, but had issues from the beginning but still sad.

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:54

My 2yo is a little rascal, but I have to say that she is always the first to notice if I am upset, and gives me a love, then goes and tells daddy. She is such a kind little nutter.

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 16:55

chick very sad indeed. We are very lucky to have our little bundles.

horseylady · 29/01/2013 17:14

Vq - sending you caffeine and chocolate xxx

Thechick · 29/01/2013 17:15

We really are.

glendathegoodwitch · 29/01/2013 17:15

Awwwwww vq hope the lergy leaves your house v soon!!! Bless your 2yo how cute!!!!

Dottie has been a little bundle of joy today pls make it last through bedtime she was all smiles for the childminder when we signed contracts eeeeeeeek next week back to work 2days a week!!!

She slept in her car seat when we got back and bad but knackered mummy took her upstairs and managed 90 minutes on the bed. Tonight I'm going to try a settled early night for her instead of taking her up at nine while and feeding her while watching tv.

Off to look at jumperoos on eBay now!!!

ChunkyChicken · 29/01/2013 17:26

Why do I do it to myself?!! Watching Call the MW on iPlayer & invariably end up in tears!! Blush

PurplePidjin · 29/01/2013 17:32

R went into 0-3 about 2 weeks ago, he's 10 weeks and 1st percentile for weight. He's very leggy though so never filled his nb stuff widthways despite running out of leg room! Tesco comes up small, next in the middle, sainsburys and matalan biggest ime :) h+m 2-4 months feety trousers plus 0-3 long sleeved vest got us through week 7 when nothing fitted! That's in a cloth bum, too. He'd probably still be in nb if it werent for his fat bum!

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 17:42

Have had a couple of smiles off J. He is such a brave boy. Thankfully the Brufen seems to have worked. I do not like giving tinies Brufen. The calpol did nothing.

Thank you for the virtual gifts everyone x and the flying visit sophie

glenda that is awesome that you start next week. Look forward to hearing all about it.

Pikz · 29/01/2013 17:52

Anyone got any advice. I'm getting stuck with the 5pm nap time, he goes down for his naps at 10ish and 1 ish but by 5ish he needs another but wont settle. He gets so over tired that I then endure an hour of screaming til bath time at 7ish. I can't bath too early as he doesn't have his final bottle til 7.30/8 and won't settle til he has it.

Am currently trying the swing but have so far just had 15 mins of grizzling... Any other suggestions?

ValiumQueen · 29/01/2013 18:05

pikz pram? Sometimes I put J in the pram and just push it on the spot. I think 5pm nap is hard as they are gearing up for evening cluster feeding.
