I managed a shower and washed my hair! Happy days!

Glenda, very exciting that you start next week. I am looking forward to hearing about it.

Harhar! Hotline to the social! There was noone in today VQ. My understanding is that they ask you if there is something going on and you can opt out. It's where they get a lot of their material for studies about sharing and so on. It was £2 for 2 hours. Very small wee room - maybe 10 parents with their children. Runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I really enjoyed it - just being out the house and blethering.

Pass it was more of a worm movement. Her hand and legs were going at a rate of knots though, she just couldn't quite lift her own wait up. She was fair moving though, and blooming furious when I stopped her! She's been able to roll over since about a week old by throwing her legs up in the air and over to one side, cue mass paranoia at her suicidal attempts to escape the changing mat Confused

Psychology group sounds very interesting. I studied psychology at uni for the first 2 years before converting my course. Is that at Stirling Uni?

sp weight. Maintaining intelligence whilst multi-tasking is a thing of the past!

Sure is mm. It was nice anyway but I also like the idea of contributing to research!

Think you might need to tie your girl down!

MM crawling! Wow! I keep thinking m is getting too clever trying to sit up an stand.

Glad I'm not the only one still in 0-3m, seemed like I was. She's not small though, although no idea on her height no-one's measured her.

M seems to have slept the whole of today, she's asleep again now.
I also now weight about a stone lighter after this evenings hair removal Grin

We have a fluff collector as well. And noticed the grim build up behind his ears today.
I find it so hard cleaning him properlly in the bath. Any tips to mk bath time easier? Thinking of a foam matt to use in bath?

DP now held up at work rescuing folk from a sinking boat. He was due home an hour ago. Why the fuck do they think it's acceptable to send them out in these conditions? It was clearly an accident waiting to happen. Will be lucky if I see him before midnight now - he left the house at 6am... Sad

GT we use one of these which goes down a treat. She kicks her little legs about and makes quite a mess. And ear/hand/toe grime and fluff can be easily removed!

Fatima congratulations on your weight loss haha

Not sure if any of you'll remember but shorty before M was born we went to a funeral as a friend of ours dad (who I've known a long time from the club we attend) died. Then shortly after that another friends dad who we know from the same activity went missing?
Well his body was found at the weekend Sad feel so sad for our friend and his mum and brother.
I've got a card to deliver tomorrow but I don't really know what to write. Should I go with sorry for your loss, here if you need us....
I want to write something significant and meaningful but can't find the words

Mm maybe avoid tummy time lol discourage crawling hehe.

LO was getting frustrated as he couldn't get his thumb in his mouth earlier. Was hilarious to watch.
Really want to discourage him from the thumb sucking. Not sure what to do other then use dummy, so far only use dummy at night or when giving medicine I stick it in quick to mk him swallow.

I love you ladies. So Jonas goes batshit at his snowsuit - he HATES it with a fierce and slightly obsessive venom. I think its the restrictiveness he despises. I'm musing on this whilst looking at our FB group and there's Teddy looking cute as can be in his star wrap. Just ordered one. Ta muchly xxxx

YW I have exactly the same so I ordered one too! He has a meltdown whenever I even get the suit out of the cupboard!!

fatima I would just keep it simple and heartfelt. Have you any pictures of the man who died? If so possibly include them in another sealed envelope in the card, with an indication of what is in it? I don't think anyone ever knows quite what to say or do, especially when things are less than straightforward.

Fatima that's awful. A few years ago. A very good friend of mine went missing. They found her 3 month later.
I didn't do this. But was told by the family that many people used the cards of sympathy to share happy memories, funny stories or how our darling friend had impacted their life.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/01/2013 20:22

Fatima say what you feel and don't worry about it being meaningful. That's a lot to deal with in a short time Thanks

Night all. Hopefully DD1 will not kick me too often tnight.

Ah bumbos and jumperoos take me back. DD1 loved both. I remember taking her to parties and propping her up in the bumbo and she'd spend hours watching the work go by. Her jumperoo is in the garage. I got loads of time to do stuff whilst she bounced in it. Best purchase I made for her. E is a long way off from being in either of them!

Had HV round again today. We only get home visits due to E's poor weight gain. I do regularly go to the clinic and prefer to do that rather than wait in for one but she's very good and fits in with my schedule. So W weighed 3.8 on Thursday and weighs 3.86 now. So not great but she's getting longer and her head is growing so that's good. Got the peads appointment tomorrow so will see what bright ideas they come up with.

vq I'm so sorry to hear that j is poorly again. I know what you mean about being disappointed that the bf isn't keeping the germs at bay. Although E has been ebf she's been much more sickly than DD1 and seems to have caught every bug going. Hugs to you.

Have skim read the thread so apologies if I've missed any other poorly babies.

Go Matilda! That's amazing. She will be hard work am afraid mm!

DD2 worked out at about 8. Weeks or so that, when in her car set, she lifted her leg up and slammed it down on the seat rhythmically she could rock herself. She would do it all the time, most hilarious at Rythmn Time where I took DD1 and she would do it and the car seat would move on the floor all the way across the room. I don't know why none of my other children never mastered it really. Is a simple technique.

We have a cross Olly tonight. Normally he is in bed now. Instead he is watching some Irish film with Daddy. Think it might require more than parental guidence. Calpol or cuddle that is the question?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/01/2013 20:36

Oh yes fatima how sad. Go with pr say what you feel. Sharing some of your memories is always nice I think and nice for their loved ones to look back on later.

Big-yes I'd love to! I can't wait. How about Exeter services as I don't know Exeter well. I'm sure you have a better place to meet. Any day except Saturday, as I have to visit my nan (91), it's the only thing she looks forward to now! She likes him to cry, she calls it "exercising his lungs" Confused

Yes Detective I do feel a bit down. As P is getting there but it's all baby steps, and sometimes I wish he would hurry up. At least he is trying and that the main thing.

I've been to trago today,( it's a big discount shop) bought a lovely thick rug to go underneath the cot just incase N rolls out. The only problem is its so thick, I can't shut the door.

Does any one know of any nursery rhymes, with horses in?
