Diege · 03/04/2006 16:59

Will be being weighed at SW tonight (just to compound the humiliation!). On my scales I reckon I've put on 2.5 pounds, the shame of it! Blush, but will confirm when weighed on theirs.
And as far as I know, down to that damn limejuice!!!! Arghhhh, of all things to gain weight on, when I could have been shovelling down cream cakes!!! Have actually got to that resentful stage, when I say to myself, why shouldn't I have that choccy bar, what's the big deal!!! Haven/t succombed yet, but will have to be VERY strong this week!

In my self-indulgent mood, forgot to say a big congratulations to Golden, Yorkie, and Tex Grin; hugely jealous of course Envy.

Hey, not so bad, only half a pound on after allSmile. Am going to try really hard this week, though have wedding anniversary on Friday, so will try and keep things under control!

Hi 11 6 for me again - at least I didnt put on. Got a dilemma though - 2 glasses champagne on Sat night = 5 hours sleep for DD (and me) Grin but lots of calories I'm sure - more than lime juice anyway!
What is SW anyway? Does having a plan to follow help?
How often do peeople weigh themselves - Im a bit obsessive compulsive and do it every day, standing on scales 3 times to get an average - (have done for 20 years Blush)- If I could have the same attitude to not eating biscuits it would be better although I have taken the advice given last week (cant find post sorry Sad) and am having one treat a day.

babyonboard · 04/04/2006 16:45

okay..was puting it off.
but am 10lb 4oz

prob dosn't sound bad but i worked hard at eting well , then had massive ceasar salad with parmasan shavings, bacon etc, and desert on thursday, then brie and walnut sndwich for lunch friday and pizza and unhealthy salad later.
then of cousre alcohol on saturday...and dep fried brie and calamari
if i hadn't so devesttingly lapsed it would have ben better!
so this is a very tight week for me, not even sips of dps wine and cheese when he gets in lol!

Awww, 101bs BOB, you could fit in the palm of my hand Grin.
MAMMAN: sorry SW satnds for Slimming World. Has worked well for me in the past, though I'm not its most glowing example at present! Good idea to have daily treat I think, otherwise if you're like me you binge on all the 'banned' stuff Blush

Diege · 04/04/2006 20:24

Oh and meant to say MAMMAN that I am also a compulsive weigher - eat breakfast, weigh, go for a wee, weigh...there I am on all fours making sure the needle is EXACTLY on the zero. How sad is that!

Report
babyonboard · 06/04/2006 17:02

lol diege..my mum is the same..she one day decided to throw away the scales so she wouldn't but ended up driving to boots in her lunch hour/way home from work as she couldn't resist..so she bought some more

Report
mamman · 06/04/2006 21:26

Diege - I am also always trying to fiddle with the zero to weigh a bit less - should just eat less [big grin] !!!!!! Do notice a difference if havent BF first thing before weigh in though.
Bad day today - one packet of biscuits rather than one biscuit treat Blush - will try harder tomorrow - battling hard with the blues though.

Yeah!! 2 and a half pounds off, which is a very good week for me! Now 8 stone 9.5 pounds, so not too much more to go actually Smile(not been to SW weigh in yet, so reading is 'provisional'!
Well done GOLDEN!I too have several calorific treats planned for tonight Grin

Ju-ust the two of us...hmmm, yes, come on everyone, no skiving now Grin. BTW [smug expression], SW weigh-in said 3ib loss, not 2.5, so I'm not going to argue!

I'm still here! DReadful week and I've stayed the same - 74.5kg. I'm starting to wonder if I'm actually ready for this. May need a bit more time before I can get serious about losing the weight. It just always seems to be so low on my list of priorities at the moment. Or maybe that's just my excuse. Will keep trying...

Diege · 12/04/2006 09:40

Hi TEX! Agree, you do have to be in the right frame of mind for losing weight, and it's hard enough when you're in the right frame!. I'd go easy on yourself for a few days maybe, or perhaps just up the walking/exercice instead?

Report
babyonboard · 12/04/2006 10:38

tex..best not to worry about it..
those delicious cakes and treats are well earned with all the hard work you do!lol
i am afraid i haven't really been trying this week...will weigh myself later when i take O to the clinic..

golden ..well done!thats really good going!

Hi miserable week Sad - and no weight loss - 11/6. As well as a disasterous pelvic floor I now have a prolapse - and really do have to lose weight - which may help improve things. At least I have to be serious about it now although post Easter may be easierSmile

It is great to see the weight dropping off the rest off you though and really motivating.
cheers for now

I don't know where this week has gone so sorry I am so late. Also no loss (I did weigh myself on Monday but never got online to post) - although loads of coffee breaks with choccy cake etc with my friend means I am surprised. I think I need to up the work load for next week and my friend goes back to work so hopefully less temptation.

One pound on - no surprise there then Grin; think it will actually be a lot more later on in the week, as body is still coming to terms with choclate onslaught, and quite can't believe what's happening!! Will be back on the wagon from today, so damage limitation is commencingSmile.

Hello November mummies - I was wondering if I could pop over from the December board and join in with your weight loss.

My ds was born on 8th Dec so I'm not too far outside November Smile

If you don't mind these are my details:-

Current weight: 11St 10Ib
Goal weight: 11Ibs (for now - I'm doing it in stages and I want to get to this before our holiday in 6 weeks time)
Pre-pregnancy weight: 11St 2Ibs (overweight!!!)
Ideal weight: 9.5 / 10St
Diet: Weight watchers

I'm also trying to manage 2 gym visits a week (1 minimum) and have started playing in a netball team once a week.

Hope no one minds me gate crashing!!!
