blizy poor you with scary weather! I once got caught in TWO thunderstorms in one day in Slovenia. One from train station to work, then another from work to train. I dripped pathetically all the way home! FX that tests were unecessary and you're pg already :)

needto any news?

mizk we're skint too, apparently In Poverty, it's not that bad though, there's more to life IMO.

ledkr if you feel overwhelmed with Stuff and DH not pulling his weight, now's probably not the time to consider emergency foster care. How did he react to what you said? Does he see there's a problem?

Up at 6 here, we're having a Stay At Home day and we've laready had a morning bath, walked the dog and splashed in puddles, now watching tv with a Brew

ILovePonyo · 23/06/2012 09:19

Wow deb you've had a busy morning, we were also up early (5.45 thanks anya Hmm) but I have sat with a blanket on the settee with A either sat next to me or trotting about rubbing her eyes bcos she's tired. I'm on my 4th cuppa!

Blizy how's the weather today? It's sunny and bright here Confused I like thunderstorms but it must be bloody scary if you dont like them.

ILovePonyo · 23/06/2012 09:24

Oops posted too soon.

Four4 enjoy the concert! Got your Welles ready? Wink

Reastie how are you? Hope you're doing ok, sending you hugs.

Ledkr how's things with your dh, and how are things with Ella too?

I'm off to drink more tea and watch A destroy the lounge, dp is up now anyway he can control her Grin

ledkr · 23/06/2012 09:52

Well it doesnt get any better here,we had 4am today. I sm seriously at breaking point now may even get a big sign off from work,i just feel so depressed and keep feeling like running away and just leaving it all behind.

Dh is great btw,he was up at 5 when he heard me go down, even though he had work at ,unloaded the dishwasher and cleared up before i got up. He is great most of the time, its just when he has D but thinking about it i cant get much done and im a veteran.

Iam so desperate i am actually considering getting the pil down next weekend to help us,dh looks so thin and tired i dont even fancy going on our trip,4 wks in a van with misery guts up at 5 no thanks.

ILovePonyo · 23/06/2012 10:05

Ah ledkr I'm sorry you sound really down. If having pil means a lie in for you and dh then why not, they can get D up early or you could let them take her out for a bit whilst you go back to bed?

It's rubbish anyway, A has been up regularly at 6 but 5 is ridic, that extra hour in bed makes a big difference.

blizy · 23/06/2012 11:38

Oh ledkr, I'm sorry you are feeling so down. I agree with Ponyo re: pils. If not would your dil or one of your sons take dilly for a night to let you both sleep? Are you taking your ad's? I really hope little madam behaves herself today.

OP posts:
ledkr · 23/06/2012 14:58

Thanks gilrs,im not sure if pil would be more of a hinderence tbh, waiting for food Grin

Dil has taken D so i am relaxing, never been much of a daytime sleeper me. Els is just dossing about too,its quite nice. We are making scones to scoff with jam and cream and watching tv.

I do love Dills but she is a particularly hard work baby. When i tried to put her in with me at 4 she was slapping me headbutting me trying to rip the nose off my face poking my eyes.

I know why people only have one child now.

blizy · 24/06/2012 16:55

Wow, very quiet in here! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Smile

OP posts:
reastie · 24/06/2012 18:47

Glad you have all been making notes to make sure you're not too chatty when I'm not around Grin

ledkr poor you, I'm not surprised the early mornings are getting you down. Can PIL come down and stay in the van and you can leave them breakfast etc in there for them to sort themselves? I'm sure a bit of time on your own with them looking after Dills during the week end would really help.

blizy how long till the test results this time? Any signs of AF yet?

Had an OK week end - Alice wouldn't sleep at all on Friday night so we ended out staying Saturday night too as we were too shattered to drive home Blush . Ended out having a nice time visiting a great farm park - ledkr have you been to the cotswolds farm park? It's really great - wish we had one like that near us. ANyway, service for DMA went well, I was wearing the brightest outfit there but I didn't care and thought I looked OK but very tiring emotionally and doesn't help when I'm exceedingly hormonal at the minute.

debka · 24/06/2012 18:52

Just a quickie to say GOODBYE, don't worry, not flouncing, I'm about to go to catch the train to London ready for WIMBLEDON tomorrow!! A whole 24 hours away from the girls, not sure who's more worried, DH or me!!

Only thing is, just put them to bed and Sabine is crying her little eyes out. DH just got her up and she's obv tired but crying. Not like her at all :( Have Calpolled and put her back but now I'm in a quandary....

reastie · 24/06/2012 19:06

deb Envy Envy Envy I know it's hard but I'd say definitely go get your train young lady - I'm sure DH will be OK with bean and he can always ring you, I'm sure once she's asleep she'll be OK [easier said than done emoticon]

blizy · 24/06/2012 19:10

Deb- totally agree with reastie!

Reastie- I'm glad everything went well on Friday.
Af not due until next thurs/fri, but I am spotting already.Sad

wigglesrock · 24/06/2012 20:11

reastie glad you're home and service etc is over.

ledkr poo to Miss Hard Work Dilly Grin I'm definitely tireder this time around even though A is a better sleeper than Olivia. I worked yesterday and then went back in last night for a few hours (it is a special event that is the busiest night of the year) and I can barely move today. My feet/back etc are absolutely fecked. If you think it'll help get signed off from work for a bit - get a bit of a breather. Work will still be there and you don't get any medals for attendance Wink, take care xxxx

blizy I thought of you a couple of times this weekend Grin We had some telecommunications/satellite tv crew/engineers etc over in work and they had been put up in the Europa Hotel Shock, thought how Envy your dh would be - no skanky hotel for them Grin

And then Olivia was talking about the letter 'Z' this morning, - zoo, zebra, zip etc and she just out of the blue said "Zoe" - we don't know any Zoes apart from yours. There's a book in nursery they've been using and the girl in it is Zoe. It was lovely hearing her say it, she loves the name btw Grin

debka stop with the guilt now Grin. Have a fantastic time, eye up some hunky tennis players for me preferably Australians or some yummy Slovakians!

ILovePonyo · 24/06/2012 20:56

Hiya ladies,

Deb I am soooo jealous! Have a brill time and dont worry about beany, she'll be fine and was probably trying to make you feel guilty for going away. Wink (am joking!) Oh and say hi to nadal for me Grin

Wigs aw at O saying Zoe, how sweet Smile hope you can chill now after your busy time at work, sounds knackering.

Reastie hope you're ok. Lovely pics of cheeky face A on fb Smile

Blizy boo to stupid spotting, hope it's nothing, am staying hopeful.

Here's a gross story for a Sunday night - A always runs around naked upstairs for a bit before her bath, she occasionally does a widdle on the floor but not often. Anyway today she was trotting about and as she walked out of the bathroom I saw something on the floor, that's right it was a poo Shock I got rid and said to her "is there anymore poo?" and she came back from her room with a poo in her hand and gave it to me Shock!! (please don't judge I am well aware this is my second poo related baby story Grin)

reastie · 24/06/2012 21:19

ahh ponyo we've had many poos pre bath - the other week she was walking around naked upstairs and I noticed she had a bit of poo hanging sticking on her bum Shock [shakes head] - honestly, a year ago I'd be so Shock at all this but now I'm just picking off bits of poo from her bum Wink alice hasn't tried to eat it yet though

needto can we have an update on the hospital please? Am hoping no news means nothing bad to report

wiggles I have a bone to pick with you

wigglesrock · 24/06/2012 21:29

reastie Blush I know Grin what can I say? bettings a mugs game Wink Spain are my favourites, they're lovely very talented.

ponyo I'm impressed with A giving you the poo, Anna would most likely just ignore my question and toddle about doing what she wants or she would hysterically point at it, demanding I make everything clean again Grin

Am in work tomorrow, to inspect and clean the damage done by last nights do! But I finish next Sat night! [joy]

Mr W was supposed to finish work at around 2pm this afternoon, he's still not done Sad I don't think I've actually spoken to him for more than 30 mins since Thursday. He's had the girls, while I've been at work, then I've taken them off him while he goes to work etc.

blizy · 24/06/2012 21:39

Wiggles- I hope mr w is home soon. Just wait until you finish work, you can do all the "talking" you want Wink.

Awww at Olivia with Zoe, it made me smile. Dh was in some swanky spa hotels last week in Swindon lucky Sod totally wasted on him though!

Yuck to the poop stories, I gave my share of them too cat and baby!Grin

Oh my I'm having one of those days today and just need to vent. Took Alice for a walk this morning to get her for a nap but she wouldn't go so bought her back in. I have to cook dinner for tonight and tomorrow today as gyming till late tomorrow (that's the plan) and the only time I could do it was her morning nap, so try cooking with Alice wandering in the kitchen, she throws everything out of the cupboards including a whole cupboard shelf which breaks my pestle and mortar and empies my spices and cocktail sticks ALL over the bleeding floor. Alice keeps crying and moaning as she's tired but won't sleep, dinner is now made my looks and smells awful and the whole house is an absolute dump. I'm hiding in a corner while alice screams in my face. How the heck do people with more than one child cope to do anything? Hmm . All this prep as I'm off to the gym after lunch today and work tomorrow but don't know why I bother - the house is such a tip I'm never going to get it done and it's only going to get worse - arghhhhhh

americanexpat · 25/06/2012 10:32

reastie - take a deep breath. My house is ALWAYS a tip, it is nearly impossible to keep it tidy with L underfoot. If I need to do anything in the kitchen, I let him get on with pulling everything out of the drawers because it keeps him occupied. That's rubbish about the shelf though. Can you put her in the car and go out for a bit?

deb - I hope you legged it out of the house!

blizy - I think I mentioned this before but I was spotting pre-AF for months, even the month I got pregnant. I don't want to get your hopes up but fingers still crossed for you.

reastie · 25/06/2012 10:44

thanks american deep breath taken but now alice has dropped and broken my glass bottle of cumin all over the kitchen floor and I can't clean it up as she gets in the way. Honestly, I swear work is easier than this Shock . I genuinely can't see how people manage with more than one unless they keep each other amused. I can't cook ever with alice around as she plays me up so much, only did it today out of desperation and wish I hadn't bothered but fed up of giving us all something with chips for dinner

americanexpat · 25/06/2012 11:08

I don't know how mums with more than one cope - I think they just muddle through like the rest of us. There are toys in every room of our house: in the bedroom so I can dry my hair in the morning, his bedroom to keep him occupied during nappy changes, the bathroom so I can have a wee without him using the toilet brush as a sword, etc. The highchair is now a makeshift climbing frame in the kitchen. Hmm

But L is quite "free range" (sounds much nicer than feral Blush). Grin

blizy · 25/06/2012 11:11

American, I too spot every month before af. Usually 2-3 days before but not 5! I defo feel af is the way though, I have my monthly migraine. Sad

Reastie- your morning sounds grim, hope the day gets better for you.

ledkr · 25/06/2012 12:29

Hi all im on my lunch so a quick post.
reastie I had a weekend like that,d up at 4am Sat but dil took her si i relaxed. Yesterday was just how you described and i kind of feel better for hearing you say it,i felt terrible. In the end i stuck her in the sling which i havent done for ages and she slept straight away.
I do like the house tidy but as for food then i gave up cooking from scratch a while ago.I do still but if its a busy day but on the whole I have opted for easier meals. Today dh is on a late so its mince and a jar of ragu in the slow cooker, ill do pasta later and a bag of salad. Why dont you simplify it on gym days?

reastie · 25/06/2012 12:40

ledkr glad the old hat mums have this problem too. She's now finally asleep after pulling off the door knob to the sitting room meaning we are now permanently locked out of the sitting room and other than bashing the door in or breaking the window in I don't know how we will get in there Shock . AF is also on her way now for me which explains why I was a hormonal wreck . Problem with easy meals is my special diet and lack of ready foods for it. I do omelette at least once a week or baked potato and usually do a big veggie bolognese at week ends which sees me through the week but couldn't this week end as we were away. Maybe next week I'll actually leave DH a recipe to follow when he has Alice when I'm working/gyming till late rather than leaving him instructions for something to reheat as it seems unfair that on his afternoon off he gets to look after Alice without worrying about anything in the house - he usually sees to spend half the afternoon on the internet faffing about.

reastie · 25/06/2012 12:41

Forgot to add Sad to blizy for the migraine/AF - are you OK?
