Onward and upward, ladies. Do come on and post if you're a lurker or want to join our merry band, all welcome!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
aethelfleda · 20/03/2012 14:37

Arg, my icon skills are non existant today. I blame the 4 night feeds last night. My fuse is so short ATM: last night I actually argued with DH cos he swore blind I'd had two whole nights sleep (as in 8 hours straight) and I knew damn well I hadn't, so DH, tactful bloke, insisted I was wrong and had obviously forgotten when DS had slept through....aaargggggh, he's as stubborn as I am...

OP posts:
hawthers · 20/03/2012 14:59

Shock as if you would forget two full nights of sleep...

HoneyLovesCake · 20/03/2012 15:27

I'll be fine when the weather improves; DS & I are spending summer at the beach :)

plutocrap · 20/03/2012 15:48

Ouch, Kate: both the pelvic floor and tjat price!

NorthernChinchilla, don't be horrible! You evidently habe a green thumb and like cooking and have all your financisl affaitd in brillint order (unlike DH, whose financial crapness meant I had to take £1900 out of an ISa for his corp tax bill, as there was not enough other money readily available - hence my "plutoCRAP" namechange!)

plutocrap · 20/03/2012 16:01

Some xposts!

Oh, dear, hawthers - courage!

Looking forward to hearing from you when you're feeling better, Honey.

I understand that reasoning, Bee; it's still a shame for our more optimistic generation...

aethel, would it be too mischievous to wake him to make a point?! Of course your posts on MN are all the alibi you need, but you might not want to share this side of your life...

hawthers · 20/03/2012 16:13

So it appears I've totally overeacted!
F seems a lot perkier and feeding mire normally.

Managed to make a birthday cake but need to clean the carnage, pick up some prawns and rickety for a birthday dinner and pick up DS1 and get home by 6. Hmm better get s wriggle on.

NorthernChinchilla · 20/03/2012 16:13

Cheers plu! No, it wasn't meant to be false modesty, I'm just comfortable with what I'm good at, and what bits I'm not- sadly they were just all the nice things that my Mum happened to be good at Smile. Plus the fact that I think being musical, having an ability for languages and being co-ordinated enough to dance (or even tell left from right and catch a ball occasionally Blush) would be rather useful!

PS- just noticed that a rogue 'l' got into my post at half nine; it should've been radiates jealousy. Brief haddocking has been administered.

TMI/Me post bit- had smear test. Discovered I have thrush, brought on by the course of anti-biotics I've just had to take. Smear therefore rather painful, but I had taken a couple of painkillers before hand. Exciting trip to chemist's tomorrow.
Again, the glamour, the glamour!

Glad to see both AWCH and HLC are still around, if in stealth-lurk mode up until recently, and I know you were planning a big catch up Horse, but don't feel obliged!
Sorry you're feeling down HLC, and please do come and vent to your heart's content. How's Rocco doing atm?

And how's DS hawthers, has he woken from his nap a little brighter?

Dear Bob aethel- yes, the two full, uninterrupted nights' sleep you've had. Aaahahhahahahahha. Perhaps show your DH the groove you've worn into the carpet and this thread lurching through every night?!

And I am sooooo hungry, am going to have to eat something else, perhaps cereal....

NorthernChinchilla · 20/03/2012 16:14

X post hawthers, glad he is brighter!

hawthers · 20/03/2012 16:15

When will I learn

  • rocket not rickety
DeterminedandSpecialMum · 20/03/2012 16:16

Hawthers Here's a haddock. Use it wisely.

Honey Feel better soon

Aethel Every time your woken to feed, wake DH to just to prove a point.

I've been good today - as I done all my housework before the school run this morning and apart from shopping, I have sat on my arse (feel so lazy). Just got to make dinner and get Darcie ready & to swimming at 5.

plutocrap · 20/03/2012 16:19

Great news, hawthers!

Northern, as long as you are the one disappointed, not your DM! Smile

HoneyLovesCake · 20/03/2012 16:27

He's fine NC gorgeous as ever :) This'll probably sound like nonsense but I swear by Pau D'arco tea for thrush, for prevention & cure.

MissRee · 20/03/2012 17:18

northern ick on the thrush front. I always get some probiotic yoghurt drink things (yakult etc) when I'm on ABs as I tend to suffer with thrush on them too.

DSM I am jealous of your ability to get all housework done so early! I desperately need to sort Jack's room (too many toys). Have a mountain of washing to put away (more like find some space for) and I started clearing the cupboards in the kitchen last week but need to finish that for a slight rearrangement we need to make to fit in the dishwasher (yippee).

Took Freya to be weighed today - 11lb1oz and following the 50th perfectly Grin (I understand it now thanks to Aethel

How is everyone's weight loss going? I lost 3pm this week!! Yay!!! Grin

I've just ordered a weekly veg box to be delivered on Mondays. Dinners are getting a bit boring with the same old stuff so I thought by ordering a veg box I'll have to find some recipes to use them up. The first box comes with a cookbook too!

MissRee · 20/03/2012 17:19

Yep, 3pm has completely disappeared off my clock... Duuuhh! I meant 3lb!!! Grin

mopsytop · 20/03/2012 17:43

I only lost 1lb MissRee but still, a loss is a loss and I walked 11pm today!! So warm I didn't need a coat, woo!

MissRee · 20/03/2012 17:50

Well done Mopsy!!!! Grin I'm using an app called myfitnessfriend to log mine.

When are we having our next SE meet at bluewater ladies? I need some John Lewis cake... carrot cake is healthy right? It has veggies in it!!!

Jomouse · 20/03/2012 17:59

Hello everyone....long time since December - I think the last time I posted was when I was in the hospital having just delivered the wee one.
Life has been a bit crazy since then but I'm now finding time to get myself together and hopefully post back on this thread (if you'll have me!).
Hope you're all well and loving life with the new additions. Can't believe theres teething happening already!

plutocrap · 20/03/2012 18:01

Grin

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 20/03/2012 18:41

MissRee As I keep on top of the housework it only takes half hr max to whip around. However, can take longer when I want to sort thru wardrobes etc.

JoMouse Welcome back. Hope you & your LO are well.

Oi Congrats on the house :)

Darcie's been swimming. I made Beef stroganoff from scratch and was bloody lovely IMO. Darcie now in bed, Sky has had about 4oz of her bottle and gone to sleep in her travel cot. So i'm going to eat some of the cheesecake DP made me and then wash up the dishes (washed all the dinner stuff as I went) then i'm going to bed so sleep :)
