tracyk - I suppose you already do the "we're going in 5 minutes" thing?

Oh the whinging...spare me, please. Whinge, whinge, whinge. I always knew this bit was going to test me.

I love babies but I'm struggling with this toddler lark, worse when I have a beautiful baby boy who I just want to kiss and cuddle all day.

Bought the sand pit yesterday - a huge hit! But it's raining today. I find myself just trying to get through today so I can pack her off to nursery tomorrow - nasty mummy!!

I try to do that HD - I don't know that he has much concept of time though. I try it at bed time with - 5 mins to sleep, counting down to 1 min. But we still have a little howl of protest when we get to zero mins!
He's settling more into the nurseries now which is a relief.

MrsD!! I was just about to ask after chickens. Is it you who has an eglu? Dh and I are pondering the purchase of one.

MrsDoolittle · 15/05/2006 21:19

I don't have an eglu, although I have just got chickens - quite lovely ones at that too!! Smile
Fennel was wondering about the eglu.
Have you seen the omlet website?

Hi everyone Smile Ds does the whinging thing too and I must confess to looking forward to nursery days too!!
Feeling very nervous about having two come September especially as I don't think ds will be napping by then. Dreading trhr
sleepless nights again but at least I know you guys have gone through it and have survived!!

MrsD - I've been nosing at the Omlet website, it looks quite attractive, the main appeal is our house is rented and it is easily moveable.

Do you have a wooden hutch/run/coop type thing?

LJ - I feel the same about August Grin Can't believe ds starts preschool in October, he seems so grown up.

hello all
still no hospital appointment for DD2's glue ear. Took her to see an osteopath last week and apparently she is off balance because of it all, hence the fact that she is excessively clumsy. She fell on the road outside our house yesterday and hit her head really hard. She didn't get a lump and I wish now I had taken her to A&E as she has been a bit off it.

Lunavix - You should come and have a look. Do you drive? If you don't the bus out of town to Lambourn stops almost outside our door - 9 minutes from town.

Glad it's not just me then...we are being 'supernanny' at the mo and it seems to be helping...'if you do that again you are going to have 2mins time out' counting a warning, and yet sometimes you just have to use brute force and remove. We haven't really had full on tantrums yet touch wood, dd seems to have a nap most days that does help.
Well my news is I have been diagnosed with PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder. Have just started treatment for it. I had started having flash backs on arriving at hospital to have ds and started with the 'what if I'd said this' and 'what if i'd said that' and lots of tears etc a lot. I feel quite a bit better that this feeling has a name and I'm getting some help now I just need somebody to miracle me up a fix for all the problems that are ongoing after the birth.
Weather is definately colder now, very jealous of you all going into summer.
Take care

Should we have a new thread do you think? Will we keep posting now that those April 2004 babies are two? I'll start one in case...

I'd like to keep in touch and keep going.

Feeling heaps better, the counselling is really good and got some positive news from gynae on Friday which helps a bit.

Hope you are having a good weekend.
