Gosh, have we really had no activity since Valentines day! Shock

Hope you're feeling better now Tink.

Things are going well with ds1's SA. All the reports are in and we've had a letter to say they will let us know shortly whether or not he'll be getting a statement. No point in fretting about it, as its out of our hands now until a decision is made. If they don't give him a statement, we may well be off to tribunal, but I refuse to think that about that at the moment.

I am feeling a lot better, back to working out and feeling much stronger for it. The MS tests really knocked me about and its taken almost two months for me to recover, but it finally feels like I'm starting to pull out of it and move forwards again now, which is great.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Please come back and tell us your news soon, this has been a verrrry slow thread recently.

hellokittyrules · 27/02/2012 17:52

hi mm -

my parents r due back from australia and newzealand next thursday they have been there since jan 14th Shock only contact i have had is emails and they have a blog following there travels and pics, has felt strange usually see my mum every 2 weeks

this weekend we looked in some show homes Grin
there is a new housing development down the road from us so we are looking at moving into one of those. it will be one that isnt yet built we can then chose what kitchen worktops we want, carpets, tiles etc.
we r looking at 3 bedroom houses
we looked in 6 show homes all with 3 bedrooms
really nice much better then whatwe have
they have bigger gardens,3 bigger bedrooms,3 bathrooms, very modern bigger kitchen etc, lovley area
we r struggling in our house
we sleep in room adjoined to loundge downstairs which should be a study so not ideal girls have both bedrooms upstairs which r small
bathroom is 20 years old and needs replacing is tiny too!!
have a tiny garden so no where for girls too play
r loundge is massive which is only good point
area we live is okay but not brillant so have decided it is time to move we have lived here 10 years
we r going to part exchange so they r the cash buyer so saves having people viewing house and hassle etc
this week having 3 valuations hopefully if they offer right amount we can sell then would move out when new house built
they take the average of valuations
really excited

moosemama · 27/02/2012 19:15

Hi tink.

Your hair sounds gorgeous. I used to have a pixie cut back in my youthful, skinny days. There's no way it would suit me now I'm old, flabby and wrinkled. Grin

Very exciting buying a house off plan. Grin Dh and I did that when we moved up north. I really loved the house we had up there. We part-ex'd ours and it made it all so much simpler and less stressful, especially moving such a long way away as well.

Hope it all goes ahead and runs smoothly for you. Smile

hellokittyrules · 28/02/2012 11:10

hi mm Grin
thanku Grin

SparkleandShine · 03/03/2012 18:26

Hello Hello!

Just a quickie as am having a clear out and I know loads of you have had or are having new additions....

Does anyone want some second-hand hardly used reusable nappies??? I have some itti bitti d'lish and a couple of others that escape me (about 7 nappies in all)

I am happy to pop them in the post (I don't want anything for them) if one of you can use them.

I'll try you all on facebook too as its eerily silent quiet here grin

SparkleandShine · 03/03/2012 18:26

Hmm or even Grin

hellokittyrules · 03/03/2012 20:07

hi sparkle good to hear from you hope u r well Grin

where is everyone else

SparkleandShine · 04/03/2012 09:43

I'm fine - although we seem to have chicken pox- 3yo has it although not 6yo yet - only a matter of time though i guess Smile

moosemama · 15/03/2012 19:01

Hello, lovely to hear from you Sparkle - not so good about the CP though. Hope its all cleared/clearing up now and your 6 yo didn't get it.

I don't appear to have much news, hence my absence from the thread. Went away with dh to a party last weekend, but couldn't hack it and fell asleep after a couple of drinks. Blush I'm such a lightweight these days.

I've been paying for it healthwise all week since we got back and have had to really slow down and let myself recover. Lots of shakes, balance problems, vision problems and loss of feeling in my fingertips. Frustrating, just as I was starting to get stronger again, but I'm trying to stay positive.

The boys are ok. Ds1 struggled with the idea of staying at my Mum's for the weekend while we were away and spent the whole of the week before getting gradually more and more wound up about it, but handled it pretty well in the end. It was dd's first night away from us and she took it all in her stride.

Dd is a proper little madam at the moment, full of 'No' and 'You do it!' type tantrummy behaviour. Really hard work actually. Hmm I keep reminding myself how much I'm going to miss her when she starts nursery in September and telling myself to appreciate her while I still have her all to myself. Sad

Still no news about ds1's statement. We have the LEA SEN transition evening to go to next Monday and then the deadline for their decision is the following Monday.

Hope everyone else is ok.

hellokittyrules · 17/03/2012 21:36

hi mm Grin
we seem to have scared everyone else off!!
we will have to keep the thread going between us!!

sorry for health problems sound horrid

hope u hear about ds1s statement soon!!
i can relate with dds behaviour mine has been the same!!
both of them have been annoying
dd1 who is 6 years old has been really moody and whiny!! grr Sad
dd2 has been really tired, not quite herself and moody!!

house plans going great [great]
reserved a house with taylor wimpey a week ago and paid deposit
very exciting have had a meeting with them all about our plot what gardens r like, whatis in the surrounding area etc
all very exciting!! Grin
wont move in till december as they havent started building it yet.
plot is perfect - big garden, 3 floors, main bathroom and 2 loos, garage
get to chose carpets

not much else been going on here
my parentshave just got back from australia and newzealand were out there for 7 weeks
they are over tom for mothers day Grin
have seen them since they got back

moosemama · 05/04/2012 14:11

Gosh this thread has died a death hasn't it.

I have been meaning to come and post, but up to my eyeballs with school and LEA SEN stuff - no excuse though, I shall try harder in future.

How are the house plans coming along Tink?

My news is that ds1 got his Statement! Grin We are still working on the wording and nailing down a few details, but it should be finalised and in place before the end of May! Grin

Boys break up for Easter today, but have had ds2 off sick all week. We were a bit worried he might have chest problems again, as he had a few of the symptoms from before, but the GP has seen him this morning and is fairly sure its viral.

Both boys have their birthdays in the holidays and we are off to the Legoland hotel not long afterwards.

Am currently panicking because the order containing all of ds1's presents hasn't arrived, despite a predicted delivery date of yesterday. Shock It hasn't shown up so far today and obviously there are two bank holidays between now and his birthday next Tuesday, which only leaves Saturday for it to arrive and if it doesn't there will be no way of tracking it down because of BH Monday.

choccytink · 05/04/2012 17:20
