am that's brill news. fran tried it but i don't think she's quite ready for it tho the one she has looks bloody well uncomfortable poor lass did no.2 in bath and was absolutley terrified and now screams if she gets anywhere near bath. have had to let her come in bathroom and play with the water when i'm in bath - cue lots of wet sleeves. dp bit bullet the other day and bathed her and apparently she hated it and kept trying to get out

Hey girls

Need advice on how to find and vet a registered childminder?

toytownmum · 05/01/2007 23:32

Hi DM,

Unfortunately I cant help you as my two go to nursery two days a week, I just didnt want you to feel that you were being ignored.

TTM x x

aprilmeadow · 06/01/2007 14:17

DM if you go to your local government website there should be a list of nurseries and childminders

Thanks Girls

How are you all?

twinkletinselpud · 06/01/2007 15:39

hi all

not too bad thanx tho francesca had that winter bug thing again and her temp got as high as 103.something F and she feeling really grizzly and grotty. she seems to be worse at night and the next morning she's not too bad but as soon as it reaches early afternoon, she starts "sinking" again. yesterday evening we took her to a+e where they only gave her a dble dose of calpol - we could've done that at home! i hate not being able to make it better. dp being running round bless him. otherwise things ok at mo (fingers crossed)

hows everyone else?

aprilmeadow · 06/01/2007 20:06

hiya,

Still sorting through boxes - wooo - although i think there are only 5/6 left to do. Been choosing paint for Jack's room and also for Ella's.

It has been such a long process and we still have loads to do before the paint tin can be opened! We (read - dh) has had to sort the garage out which meant opening and sorting about 5 boxes and then trying to work out if it was crap or stuff we needed to keep. Did endless trips to the tip and then finally managed to sort it so that we can move freely in the garage. Once that was one i could get the bathroom cabinet up, the utensil rack in the kitchen and then get the extra shelves we need for the kitchen cupboards (again read - dh). This part ws done today. By having the extra shelves it freed up a cupboard that meant i could unpack 2 boxes in the spare room containing the bread maker and jucier as i now have somewhere to put them! Next job is the sorting of the spare room. This is going to be a tricky one. Dh has his office in there at the mo and has several boxes that he needs to sort through. We also have a whole load of sound system equipment in there as we had surround sound in the old house as the lounge was bigger. Have no where to put it all so will have to try and find a home for that somewhere. We have 2 boxes of stuff that came out of the units we had in the old lounge - they dont fit in the new house so we now have to try and find something else that fits the space to hold it all. Then there are the million or so dvd's that we seem to have. Once that is done and we have got rid of more crap then all that should be left is baby stuff and office stuff. Finally once we have a tidy spare room we can move Jack in there for a week so that we can paint his room.

So that's basically what we have been upto in the last week.

prod........ are they still awake??

Sorry for mamouth, boring post

Jack is being fantastic atm and has done loads more wees on the potty.

Hope you are all well. DM did you see my change of email? [email protected]

Things are going great here - new job going well, and starting to possibly plan baby #2!!! OMG! (If anyone wonders why I'm saying that they should read back over my birth story lol...) Think the time is right though, so maybe later this year we'll start trying...

My resolution is to sort my finances out, and find a nice (rich) man

aprilmeadow · 10/01/2007 19:04

I think we are actually going to arrange a meet up!

How about a Saturday. I am free all Sats except the last sat in January. How about you ladies?

Also where shall we meet? I am iun Fleet J4a M3 but can easily get to Southampton/Portsmouth etc

Have posted a pic of my 24 week old bump if you wanted to take a peek :-)

OP posts:
fransmom · 10/01/2007 23:07

dm are you ok?

am that's beautiful no i'm not getting broody!!!!!!!

bit of rant coming up (sorry!)
fran poorly all last week, none of us have had a decent night's sleep for nearly 2 weeks, her temp kept going up and hit 103.8 at highest point, we did have it in old money(!) but someone played with the thermometer and changed it to degrees F and now we don't know how to change it back. towards the end of last week she went down with heavy cold and just as we thougth she was getting better, bang she ends up with a nasty sounding chesty thing. i thought it was croup (again) rang nhs helpline who seemed to think it was just a heavy cold and then to top it off the next night i rang the ooh docs - in bad weather mind- only to find that docs will no longer come out to sick children with bad chests and patronised me and when she was crying her eyes out cos she felt so bad - (fuuuuuuuuumiiiiinnnnnng /steeeeeeeeeeeaming)

crying is good

she couldn't (sorry) f'in breathe properly she couldn't cough properly

fm runs off slamming doors to calm down

Darciesmum · 11/01/2007 09:35

Hi FM sounds like you've had a rough two weeks.
I'm okay still got bruised ribs and finding hard to breathe overnite, but other than that am fine. car looks worse for wear should of taken a photo!!!

AM what a cute bump you have makes me broody!!!

A meet up sounds Fab, who's coming i live in Portsmouth but can get to southampton or winchester etc. i'm working last saturday of Jan, got 1st & 2nd and last saturday off in feb.

Love
