IC Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin I thought I guessed right. I'm keeping my fingers, toes,... crossed for you Xmas Smile

BG have a good trip, and I hope your trip will go well.

PA I'm impressed by your DD climbing skills! DS can't lift himself just by the strenght of his arms!

DS is getting better and his appetite has come back (phew!)

StoneBaby · 23/12/2011 16:41

mous have a good move and I hope the settling will be fine for you and your girls

BabyGiraffes · 23/12/2011 21:39

Feeling festive tonight (early start on the Christmas Wine tehehe). Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!! I will demand to have a log fire even if it is so mild outside that I may well end up in a t-shirt to enjoy it.... Xmas Grin. And here's to an incredible new year for us all. Our gorgeous little ones will turn 2 and will be full of even more mischief Grin.

BabyGiraffes · 23/12/2011 21:43

Off topic and done on another thread, but I really do think 'Fairytale of New York' is absolutely my favourite Christmas song ever.... Xmas Wink

PenguinArmy · 23/12/2011 22:44

BG That sounds very lovely of you

SB I'm very jealous of DD as I'd love to be able to do that move in my own climbing. I'm not very good at mantelling (sp?).

mous good luck for the next week.

I'm now at the ILs. On the way here I was thinking how nice it would be for them to see the DCs, I'm not feeling quite that way anymore. Still, grin and bear it then vent on MN

BabyGiraffes · 23/12/2011 23:00

PA Do you mean the visiting old parents bit or the starting early on the wine bit Xmas Wink

PenguinArmy · 23/12/2011 23:02

I'm feeling generous, so both Xmas Grin (but yes to the parents)

StoneBaby · 24/12/2011 13:43

Oh my god. DS is having the terrible 2 NOW or his teeth are really bothering him.

He is doing tantrum after tantrum on anything that doesn't go according to him. And also he doesn't eat well (or not at all) I'm at the end of my teether as I don't know what to do. Also my mum doesn't agree on how DH and I handle some of DS attitude and sometimes step in... Xmas Confused

InmaculadaConcepcion · 24/12/2011 16:58

Aw, SB.....
Here's hoping he's in a more cheerful mood by tomorrow.....

Season of goodwill, PA Xmas Wink

Agree about FTONY, BG!

Well, after a slow start when DD wasn't sure what to make of it all, her early presents have all been a success.
She thoroughly approved of the various plates, bowls, cutlery and mini cups plus the books (especially the Little Princess one) but the big hits have been:
a) a small bouncy globe ball
b) her ride-on Thomas The Tank Engine
c) her toddler trampoline
d) her Laura Veirs CD
e) the chocolate coin

She's been delightedly playing by turns with a,b and c to the strains of d (every time it pauses, she shouts "Again! Again!") and e was consumed in a twinkling.

Merry Christmas everyone! Xmas Smile

I probably won't get on to the PC tomorrow (and MN is a pain on my phone), so Merry Christmas everyone. Hope Santa brings you everything you wish for, and the LOs have a good time x

BabyGiraffes · 24/12/2011 22:34

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Smile

StoneBaby · 26/12/2011 17:14

How did everybody survive Christmas?

DS really enjoyed the duplo boxes (photo on FB) and his mini-broom Xmas Grin and all the food he can eat (and he does eat a lot) (us too in fact Xmas Grin )

DS seems to have developped a fear of the bath, not water as he enjoyed playing with it but he screams the house down when time comes to get in the bath. I guess my mum's bath is higher and deeper than ours and it may frighten him... So tomorrow, I'll try a few things to see what happens...

bethy good luck with the fasting and the test.

BabyGiraffes · 26/12/2011 18:48

We had a lovely quiet time and very relaxing with a few log/coal fires, real candles on the tree, good food and Wine (latter for dh and me only obviously). The only thing lacking was snow... Xmas Grin We had most presents on Christmas eve but I kept a few small things for the girls to have a stocking on their bed on Christmas morning. One of the highlights of Christmas for me was dd2 shouting from her room that there was a 'party bag' in her cot Xmas Grin. We had breakfast in bed and she made it very clear that the chocolate coin she found in her stocking was 'my chocolate!' just in case dd1 got ideas....
We are now packing to fly over to see my parents and I am in a bit of denial about the hassle of the journey (3 hour car journey to catch a 6am flight) and my lungs feeling strangely raw with a nasty cold taking hold Hmm

bethylou · 26/12/2011 22:29

Happy Christmas all. Experimenting with a post from my new phone. Congrats IC. Can't wait to hear how dh reacted! Good luck BG. Have a good trip. Mous hope it's all gone well.
Had a lovely Christmas and boys have been thoroughly spoilt.ds2 has a keyboard and microphone and is loving singing jingle bells on it!
Dreading the next 3 days here. Ds1 has gone to sleep awfully tonight and he doesn't even know what's going on yet. Will be back whenever I get a mo. Enjoy more festivities.

bethylou · 26/12/2011 22:31

Oo new phone seems much better.

Bearcrumble · 27/12/2011 08:32

Hope you all had lovely Christmases.

Keeping everything crossed for you, IC. I'm sure this will be a lovely smooth, uneventful pregnancy.

DS loved his drum kit and home made easel.

DH got me a Kenwood chef, an Alex Monroe necklace and 4 days at Center Parcs including mum-to-be spa session. Xmas Grin

Bethy Hope all goes as well as possible for your DS1.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 27/12/2011 12:45

Merry Xmas to you all.
IC hope it all goes well.

StoneBaby · 27/12/2011 16:41

Well my lovely toddler has managed to take his evil twin on holiday with us. Every day around 4.45pm they swap places and I have a little monster instead. He hasn't eat any dinner for the last 3 nights, bath is a nightmare and around 5.30pm he asks for his bottle and goes to bed! I can't get him to stay up later and therefore wake up is now 6am / 6.30am instead of the 7.30am we had before Christmas.

I just hope he'll go back to normal in a few days or when we're back home... Hmm

Sorry very me post Blush

StoneBaby · 28/12/2011 16:53

bethy I hope everything goes well tomorrow.

IC you're okay? How did you DH reacted?

bc great pampering gift

Well we had a great day today with a lovely DS! Shock we realised that he was just over tired in the evening and that it was the reason of his grumpiness, tantrums and bath refusal. So he had his bath this morning and really enjoyed it Shock Grin his apetite is also back so I'm well happy.

InmaculadaConcepcion · 28/12/2011 20:36

Hi all

Best of luck for the coming days, bethy - to you and your DS.

Sorry to hear you've been having a stropfest with your DS, SB - I hope he's calmed down now.

Thanks for the good wishes! In the end I gave DH his - ahem - present a day early (because I was mentalling and needed to be able to talk to him) and after he realised the "2-3" figure meant weeks and not babies (!) he was delighted.

So far, so good I guess. I've been having a funny taste in my mouth, off-and-on oddness in my tummy and itchy/twingey boobs so that's all reasonably reassuring. I'll sort a GP appointment in the new year and request an early scan. Meantime, FX.

Good luck with the travelling to Germany, BG - have a lovely time with your folks (and I hope your cold isn't giving you too much trouble...)

Nice pressies, Bc!

I hope you're all settled in now, Mous x

StoneBaby · 29/12/2011 18:12

bethy saw on FB that Sam is eating fine, I hope it went well? Smile

IC Grin at the test showing how many children you're expecting!

bethylou · 29/12/2011 20:41

All good thanks. By the time we got him to hospital his blood pressure was 80 over 30 and blood sugar at 2.1 but other than that it all went very smoothly. Thanks for all good wishes. Off for a drink of red wine. Back when recovered.
