Well done Arch! People power in action!

Caramello - if S and P are in sleep sync, I hope you had a better night than we did last night. Three wake ups, four feeds (two of those in desperation because nothing else was working) and one two hour period of being completely wide awake between 2 - 4am. Urgh. I hope we don't have a repeat tonight...

Fingers crossed that things improve for you now you're homeKitty.

Sassy20 · 14/09/2011 16:53

Well done Arch. Lots of women will benefit because of your actions, you should be proud of yourself.

MrsWajs · 14/09/2011 17:38

Well just spent half an hour cathcing up and was all set to post but R has just woke up for her dinner!! Will try and post back later properly but just wanted to say well done arch you are a real inspiration!! :)

Oh yeah and dairy I can't see the poo-pic, am I looking in the right place??

GsyGacheFiend · 14/09/2011 18:52

Mrswajs you need to click on beetle's name on one of her MN posts to get to her profile, then click on see photos.

Well done Arch crack open the Wine tonight, you've definately earnt it.

As for the C word, i have it sussed. As usual my parents will come to us xmas morning to see DS open his santa presents. After thar it's off to the PIL's for lunch where DH will help his mum do the cooking. Then more present opening and i'll prepare the tea. We go to my parents for boxing day lunch where yep you,ve guessed it DS gets yet more presents, and I avoid doing any cooking Grin

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 14/09/2011 19:40

Well done Archie, you've done yourself proud and hundreds of woman a great service.

I feel emotionally wrung out today, I'm so glad both boys are in bed snoring. The boys weren't particularly trying, I just seemed to have a day where I found everything infuriating and hard work. A glass of wine and an early night are called for I think.

I've never cooked Christmas dinner Blush my houses have always been too small to entertain in, so we've always gone to family. My parents one day, the in laws the next. I do do a buffet thing though in the new year and invite everyone round, it's a squeeze though. However once our extension is finished I won't have an excuse and I will be spending forever hosting Christmas Day to pay back all the dinners I have had round everyone else's house!

I'm slowly selling the baby stuff as I'm finishing with it. I sold our Quinny Dreamicot on a local mother and baby FB group. It's great, people post wanted or for sale posts and all of the members are in a ten mile radius, so pick up or drop off is easy. I got a good price too considering it's five years old, mind you it's bloody immaculate as I have hardly used it for any of the boys - especially ds3 who has been in it twice!

Where is Frakk? Menu planning for a dinner party? Grin

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 14/09/2011 20:46

Kitty I bet you are glad to be home! How is DH's knee?

Arch - wow well done you, that is fantastic news! Grin

ILike - I know exactly what you mean.

Today has been hard work. Poorly DS1, and T has only napped for about an hour all day.
DS1 had a nap from 4-6 so we were late with dinner, and then bath and so on! He's finally in bed and I'm hoping he will settle down. T is also asleep - I think I might go to bed immediately!

MrsWajs · 14/09/2011 21:42

Oh silly me, I was looking on fb!!! Thanks GGF :)

MrsWajs · 14/09/2011 21:47

Shock Grin Shock Grin

Have now seen the poo!!!! Wow is all I can say!!!

Sassy20 · 14/09/2011 23:14

Oh my goodness I've just seen the poo pic- that is impressive and I love the fact he's got a big smile on his face! Grin

kittycatcat · 15/09/2011 01:01

iltmo and Ali hope you are feeling better now.

S fell asleep on me about 930/45. Put him in his cot at 10 and ran to bed and passed out waiting to be woken for a feed half an hour later, next thing I know it's 1250. Yay. Fingers crossed for the rest of the night!

Cyclebump · 15/09/2011 07:09

7.40-11.30 in the cot. 11.45-2 in the cot 2.15-3.30 in the cot. 3.30-6ish on mummy on the sofa.

Pass me the matchsticks...

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 15/09/2011 08:50

I'll fight you for the matchsticks Cycle ..............

caramellokoalalover · 15/09/2011 10:07

Oh no Cycle and ILTMIMI. Brew and Biscuit for you both.

star, S was on track with P on Tuesday night but last night was better so hoping that means same for you with P?

Allow me to rant about my upstairs neighbours for a second. Their 2 DCs (1yo and 4yo) don't go to bed until around midnight and from the sounds of it they don't enjoy bedtime very much. It's driving me mad as they were away all of August and I got used to the peace and quiet. I'm now dreaming of moving to the country and living in a house where I don't have to share walls with anyone!

JKSLtd · 15/09/2011 10:44

caramel - nightmare! The newish people next door to us have a 1 year old that doesn't go to bed at what i consider to be a good time though not as late at midnight thank goodness. And i hate hearing a LO crying/making noise when I've managed to get my 3 to bed and want to sit in peace and quiet.
Can you move?

Arch - massive well done to you :)

Sympathies for poor sleepers Brew

Cousin staying this week, made delicious choc brownies last night, they are being my breakfast today Grin

DD had 3rd jabs today, hopefully will be fine as she has been after the other 2 lots. 3 though, seems so mean :(

Also, weighed her on home scales today, approx 8.7kg :) Looked in the boys books - they were both 8months when they weighed that! She is only 5 months next week.

kittycatcat · 15/09/2011 10:55

Eugh to noisy neighbours.

Does anyone have the beaba babycook?

caramellokoalalover · 15/09/2011 14:19

Brownies for breakfast JKS - I like it! I'm just nibbling some lemon drizzle cake I made with DS this morning...cooking is very educational you know Wink.

We can move when the lease is up in January and we will...but not to a house in the country sadly as DH wants to stay in his current job.

Forgot to say before, Arch you did an amazing job! Congrats on succeeding.

Sorry kitty, no beaba here.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 15/09/2011 20:05

Fingers crossed tonight is better than last night. Poor old ds is getting a cold and his teeth are giving him gip. I forgot that babies and young children seem to have cold after cold from September to April, oh joy!

We are in a detached house and I love that we can't hear any neighbours. We used to live in a tiny terraced and could hear everything (oh yes, EVERYTHING) the neighbours were doing.

I had to google the beaba. I would say don't bother Kitty - and I bloody love to fritter money on gadgets!

For those of you who are doing blw I can recommend a chipper gadget thingy. It must have a name but gawd knows what it is. It's like a blade that is corrugated and costs a couple of pounds. The crinkled edge means the piece of food is easier for your lo to grip. Not essential, but handy and your food looks pretty!

I put ds in his highchair yesterday and it made me gulp somewhat. Where is the time going?!

I am still in denial about ds's weight. I just don't dare weigh him, i'm sure he'll be off the charts Blush

kittycatcat · 15/09/2011 22:29

S rolled Grin

Thanks iltmi and do u mean a vegetable mandolin?

GlaikitFizzog · 15/09/2011 22:41

Busy day here!! Just catching up.

After the last few days of scoffing all his feeds, today B decided he didn;t want to have more than 3 ozs at a time. Whats going on? Hopefully he will take his dreamfeed in half an hour because I don;t think he's had more that 20ozs today.

Pump goes back tomorrow [weep], and thats it, I'll not be banging on about expressing anymore you'll be glad to hear!!

My folks are down this weekend and have offered to babysit if we want to go out. Is it sad for me to say no, because Dr Who and xFactor are on? Is this what my life is now, no more partying and nights out. Just me, DH and prime time saturday night telly :). Plus I can;t be sure they won't kidnapp B and take him to aberdeen!!!

GlaikitFizzog · 15/09/2011 22:45

Oh and I have a nicer dicer which I think will be coming into it's own in a few months!

Sassy20 · 15/09/2011 23:06

Well done S Kittycat. They're all growing up fast! Smile

Starshaped · 15/09/2011 23:21

Yay for rolling Kitty Smile

It's a worrying sign Fizz but I feel the same about Saturday night and the telly at the moment! Oh dear- we must be getting old!

We had another pretty rubbish night last night. Poor old DH took the brunt of it though. I fed at 2 and 4 but slept through her crying at 5 Blush. I woke up an hour later to hear her cooing and singing to DH through the monitor. He's so much more patient than me- he'd been trying to get her back to sleep for all that time. If the shoe had been on the other foot I would have woken him up for assistance!

Not got high hopes for tonight either . She went down with no fuss at 7 but woke at 10. The dreamfeed is becoming a thing of the past as she now wakes up before it Hmm... She's asleep for the time being but expect to be up at least twice more before the morning. Yawn.

Hope the others who are suffering have better nights tonight.

Cyclebump · 16/09/2011 08:02

Hurray for rolling!

I've hit the wall. H slept 7.30-8.30, 8.45-11.30, 11.5-2, on me on the sofa until my back gave out at 4.45 and finally in the cot from 5-6ish.

And I've realised that I can't go to the mums' meet up this morning because his cold is still bad and he might infect the other babies. It was my only activity and I'm so pissed off that I can't go. Sad

Starshaped · 16/09/2011 08:11

Cycle You must be exhausted. Poor you - it sounds horrid. Can DH do a stint on the sofa if need be over the weekend so that you can catch up on sleep?

After my doom mongering in my last post, last night was a big improvement. Only up again once at around 2 and then she slept until 6:30. The child is a mystery to me!

Just seen the weather forecast for the weekend. Very depressing. I really need to get out the house. What wet weather activities can we do with a baby in tow?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 16/09/2011 08:34

Hurrah on rolling kittys kitten!

this is the crinkle cutter I mean . Although we do have a mandolin that dh insisted on buying. It has been used about twice, I am afraid of losing a finger or two so don't use it.

Star - since having dc I have bought waterproof walking shoes and coat and we joined the NT. So come rain or shine if we are stuck for something to do we go to a NT property. However, as I am writing this I am aware how middle aged that sounds! Shock

Swimming is something else you can do, as is getting dp to look after the lo while you go out for a few hours!

I'll join you on another shite night Cycle. Awake at 10, 1 & 4. I brought him into bed at 4 and he slept fitfully on my chest. Dh took him at 6.30 and I got an hour and a half on my own in the bed - bliss.

Luckily ds is going to the IL's this arvo, so it will just be me and baby I. I dream of going back to bed all afternoon, however in reality I will probably be catching up with chores - boring.
