Morning all. Just a quickie - tis all I seem to have time for these days!

Moo great news on the scan, lovely news.

Silv poor you, sounds rubbish. Hope the gin helps.

Meds sorry the news is still confusing for EA, hope you can get something conclusive soon. She is such a beauty, I love her little smile Smile

Booty how are you feeling this morning? Pliz to keep posting here if you can. There are some wise ladeez who have all manner of experience with BF. You can sometimes feel a bit closed off from the outside world, I totally agree with plonking baby in pram & getting out. BugBoy has been in the pram in his pj's at 3pm, just so I can have some fresh air. Sounds corny but it really helps lift spirits a bit. And mostly makes BugBoy sleep.

Smooches to everyone else.

Yesterday, for some reason*, dropping Artie off at the CMs felt like the first time again. When I got home in the evening, TGO said, I knew you?d be feeling emotional today so I?ve bought pizza and garlic bread and wine for tea. He knows me too well.

*clearly the reason is that I am nuts.

yay for scanz moo and hope today goes better silv

MadameBoo · 07/09/2011 09:57

TGO sounds lovely Cosmo.

Cosmosis · 07/09/2011 10:12

He has his moments I suppose

CUNextTuesday · 07/09/2011 10:55

I have been manhandled back into the CRESH It's true there is no escape Grin

rollerbaby · 07/09/2011 11:39

Silv yesterday sounds like a total nightmare. It's hard enough for you without all the worrying. Sounds like a good chat with the key worker might be in order. they can't leave him in wet stuff with his poor sensitive skin, bless him. Hope you are ok today.

alps I know, I didn't actually realise they could tell so early, but apparently according to the god of google they can be v accurate but to be certain they just make you wait til 20 weeks! I think Mr Moo would have liked a pink version but I am v happy given age gap... it will be brilliant for them to be little mates and go out when they are older etc etc. We'll just have to renegiotate the third child. ha ha!

Box I might just buy him a dolly anyway :) I'm loving choosing 1st bday presents... Is he too young for a trampoline??!!

CurlyCasper · 07/09/2011 11:42

Squeaks got a mini trampoline for her 1st honey. She doesn't use it often. I should have just bought a huge one so we could all enjoy it!

The banshee was back last night - proper fixed eyes screaming at everything. And now she has very little voice left. Wish I knew what was wrong. Especially as I face a 5-hour + drive with her alone this evening Sad

CUNextTuesday · 07/09/2011 11:47

moo I bought a dolly for Rastus - John Lewis have a range of soft bodied felt ones with magnetic removable dummies. I got the boy dolly and he loves it. Is his 'baboo' Grin

CurlyCasper · 07/09/2011 11:50

Whereas my girl has no interest in dollies. But she is fascinated by clothes pegs Hmm

rollerbaby · 07/09/2011 11:50

that is dead sweet. I might get him one of those. As well as an adult trampoline and a ride on fire-engine... God why didn't they have this stuff when we were small???!!!

Cosmosis · 07/09/2011 12:20

My dad bought Artie a trampoline for his birthday and he loves it!

owlbooty · 07/09/2011 12:28

fank you all luffly creshpeople for support and wisdom. Yesterday was fucking horrendous and the boy didn't stop feeding until 9pm - 13 hours straight with no sleep for him. Have sling but have not tried it yet, did go out for 10 min walk but he kicked off so had to go home. Went to bf clinic on mon so latch is now good but nips just exhausted by ridiculous clusterfeeding. He's a bit calmer today but still feeding almost constantly. The 0-3 babygros now only just fit him. Am less mental than yesterday at least. Tomorrow mr boots goes back to work. I am dreading it.

Cosmosis · 07/09/2011 13:16

What did they say at bf clinic re his constant feeding?

Can you see/hear a suck swallow? Can you hear any other noises like clicking when he feeds? What is weight gain like? What happens if you offer him your upturned little finger to suck on instead?

okiecokie · 07/09/2011 13:22

Cunts nice to see you back. I was wondering where you had gone. I thought maybe you were just working loads.

Silv I am sorry the first day was utter shite. Not what you needed. I hope day 2 is better. You can buy some cheapy bumber packs of bibs and send them with MB to nursery so they can just keep changing them when wet. They should have these anyway but if they don't send him in with your own. Sorry to hear the ezcema is no better. Are you hassling your doctor yet.

Moo I am loving the excellent scan news! Are you telling the world now? I haven't even started to think of 1st birthday pressies yet.

Cos you could keep the 1 tin and just think of all those 11,12,13.. cakes you can make when he is older Wink Anyway, don't you want to keep it for Artie#2?

okiecokie · 07/09/2011 13:23

Owls sorry I totally missed your post. Sorry the BF is a bit ouchy. I also used to find walks out in with the pram a life saver. And tea tree baths helped both nips and vag.

Cosmosis · 07/09/2011 13:45

We keep too much shite already okes.

rollerbaby · 07/09/2011 14:18

Welcome back cunty. you've clearly been far too busy cycling about the place.

I still feel sick. This is not funny anymore.

rollerbaby · 07/09/2011 14:19

I also would like a fabulous recipe for a bumble bee cake pleeze. Yellow and black icing, easy surely?

PollyCrystalTits · 07/09/2011 14:45

Congrats on the scan moo! Brilliant news. My tip would be to pay someone to make cake for you. Much less stressful. Grin

Silv so sorry the first day was horrendous, I do hope today is better. How is the hoss?

Boo has just completed her second morning at school and is loving it but exhausted. She has collapsed on the sofa and is watching Bolt for the 500th time.

Well the party went off well, I forgot the puddings, barely got time to talk to everyone, the sun came out and the hog roast was fecking delish! I couldn't have done it without my BF, she is fab. TG was kind of useful but was sat with his mates shitfaced by 6pm, whilst I had started about 5 different drinks, had a sip and then left them somewhere while I rushed from pillar to post. Hmm Still, he did make up for it by doing pretty much all of the cleaning up the next day. The bouncy castle was the best £75 I have ever spent - hours of entertainment for all the children (apart from Clyde who vommed up his tea after some vigorous bouncing!) Fanny and LadyGG both came, and babyGG is just the most well behaved and gorgeous baybee. And in true ESH fashion, GG bought me a bottle of Hendricks. I heart her I do! And Fanny bought me bubbles and bubbles - a bottle of lovely bath stuff and a bottle of moet to create my own little at-home spa. Bliss!

I met up with Fanny and family again yesterday and we went swimming. Well some of us did - I stood in the shallow end holding BB who screamed every time I dipped her toes in! It was pretty cold though.

Must admit I am loving Boo going to school... the peace! Can't wait until she goes full time on 3rd Oct. Grin

Sorry about the sleepless night Casp what is up with Squeaks? Have a I missed prev post?

Happy birthday to Artie! He is looking just gorg Cossie.

And Wol, am just going to message you on t'other place.

Lighttaperstandback · 07/09/2011 15:27

Congrats on scan Moo. What's all this talk of buying first birthday presents already? Thought hadn't even occurred to me Shock. TBH, we prob won't be going that crazy for his 1st - it's not like he's going to remember it, right? It's more a celebration for the parents than the sprog at that age I reckon. Although I may have to give Squib his first taste of chocolate on the day...just for shits and giggles.

Silva that sounds utter shite. S'pose it can only get easier, right?

Owl ouchy ouchy. Is it too early to try a dummy? I know I had a friend who realised her baby was taking on board too much milk because what he really wanted was just to suckle. I doubt it'd cause nipple confusion problems if he's feeding that well... Others may be more expert than me on such matters...

rollerbaby · 07/09/2011 16:01

My view on first birthdays is this: if we didn't celebrate anything properly until they could possibly remember that would be a bit of a shame. Will be lovely to look back and remember how he ate all the wrapping paper and stuck his hand in the cake etc etc etc! I can't wait! We mums deserve a bit of indulgence after the first year of bloody hard work!

Polly your birthday sounds most excellent! Do you fancy doing the cake????Wink

Medee · 07/09/2011 16:52

we think we will have some sort of 1st birthday party, as we had no christening or equivalent, and it is nice to celebrate their arrival into the world.

MrBitey · 07/09/2011 16:58

Hello, sorry to post and run again but been having a terrible time with colicy (sp?) baby and my mum getting very ill. Just wanted to say to owlie that when BB was 3 and a bit weeks I was hiding behind the sofa with my hands over my nips and crying while saying to the FDH that he couldn't possibly still be hungry! It is getting better I promise Smile

BB also grew out of up to a month clothes at three weeks and is bursting out of some of the smaller up to 3 month baby grows. Health visitor has prmised me I am not over feeding him as his weight gain is tracking the curve on the graph - he is just a whopper. We introduced a dummy at around three weeks because he was such a fan of sucking - he only had it for a few minutes at a time but it seemed to break the suck/feed/burp/colic/poo/nappychange cycle we were getting stuck in.

Can I ask the candle lighters amongst you that haven't already seen my post in the deli to light one for my mum tomorrow? She will be having surgery and hopefully will start the road to recovery after a hellish three weeks. Will stop being so me me me soon!

Lighttaperstandback · 07/09/2011 18:06

Moo, Meds sorry, that made me sound like the Grinch, didn't it?! Didn't mean to say we won't do anything. Plan is prob just for a low key lunch for close family, at which I am sure there will be cake, rather than a full on "birthday party", as it's an imortant date for us, rather than for Squib, at this stage, IYSWIM?

As we're not married, our parents have never actually met, so we are facing the daunting prospect of both my Dad and OH's parents being there, meeting for the first time, and attempting to communicate in different languages. Which should be fun. Hmm

Best of luck for you Mum Bitey
