Jupiter - you never know with meet ups, my PN group did one in Coventry and we came from London, Wrexham and Lancashire! We just tried to pick somewhere in the middle.

Muser · 05/05/2011 09:28

We moved the small one into a proper cot at the weekend. No problems at all. I do still swaddle her though so that might account for it.

Just a quick post, sorry as am out the door in a moment to vote (oh joy).

highland the white tongue is completely normal and is not to be confused with thrush. Have no idea why Catherines GP thought she was being daft. Hmm

We will all be rushing to the docs convinced our babies have thrush based on that GP!!

sittinghippo · 05/05/2011 09:35

mixed I couldnt find the group - no results came up in search at all, so perhaps closed group for now. You could probably start by searching for Jenchandler lol lol Grin

haloflo · 05/05/2011 09:47

mixed I can't find the group i'm afraid. Can anyone else? If they can i'll try again.

catherine Wow at 8 hours! We managed 4 hours between feeds last night which I was really pleased with. She slept the whole night in her basket too, so I could stretch out in bed. Strangely though I feel more tired today?!

geeklove I would also like to know more about swimming. What do they need to wear? What do you do with them in the pool? Just hold them in the water and chat to them? Sorry if these are stupid questions!

highland You could try putting your DS's basket in the big cot? And then removing the basket after a few nights. I was given this advice but not put it into practise yet so don't know if it works.

jupiter Your poor DD, no tips but hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along shortly.

sittinghippo I thought a white tongue was normal too, but Catherine's GP did have me doubting myself - thanks for the reassurance!

KPidgeon · 05/05/2011 10:35

I can't find the FB group either- though would like to join.

Gutted to have moved from London recently- would love a meet up. Am only 45 mins on the train though so once I've got my confidence up in a few months I could come in to meet you guys.

My E only needs a dummy during the day too- not at night really. Odd. I thnk it's partly boredom as he's very alert. I think sometimes he sucks because he wants something to do.

Catherine- 8 hours! That's immense! How old is Anya now?

Hmm- woke up yesterday determined to eat well and a dear friend sent me cupcakes for my thirtieth birthday- and I ate three! Oops.

ckny1 · 05/05/2011 11:15

Hi mixed, thanks for putting this together! I also can't find it...

Catherine, I'm envious!;)

Lozario · 05/05/2011 13:16

I'm up for FB group too! )

Lozario · 05/05/2011 13:18

PS Couldn't find it either!

GeekLove · 05/05/2011 14:48

I'm Up for a fb group too. How are we going to set it up? If people PM someone if they are interested than that could be a start.

sittinghippo · 05/05/2011 14:50

Geek, mixedmamma has set one up already, its just that none of us can find it so we are waiting for her to change the settings so it will show up on a search.

ckny1 · 05/05/2011 14:56

KPidgeon, happy birthday, and you deserve the cupcakes more than anything right now! :)

I'm sharing this with all of you b/c I don't know who else might understand: Franz pooped TWICE in the last 2 days, which is wonderful progress and makes him (and me) so happy! I get all teary-eyed whenever he does (and not b/c of the smell)! Blush

mixedmamameansbusiness · 05/05/2011 15:32

settings changed.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 05/05/2011 15:34

KDP - Happy Birthday

haloflo · 05/05/2011 16:00

mixed I've asked to join. Thank you for setting it up.

kpigeon Happy 30th! You definatly deserve the cupcakes. Are you doing anything nice for your birthday?

petty I thought that you might be interested to know that I just fed DD in the saddle hold! Its a good position for us due to my forceful letdown. She was a bit wobbly but once on it was pain free and I got to relax into the sofa. Hopefully I get a bit better at it and it will work for us too. You aren't the only one doing it that way.

pettyprudence · 05/05/2011 17:06

mixed I've asked to join too :)

Halo I bloody love the saddle hold and am never ever changing position.... well until bf stops hurting and then I'd really like to try feeding lying down so I can be a bit lazier in the night time Grin.

Arthur has not taken to the dummy but loves sucking on my finger ALL THE TIME. The only way I can get him to stop shouting is to either give my finger or take him out somewhere in the car! Even after the car has stopped he'll stay sleeping for a couple of hours. This means that the HV's at bf groups don't believe me when I say he won't stop and ask for advice because he just sits there sleeping and looking adorable. With the finger it means that I am glued to the spot and can't MN do the washing up

Jupiter118 · 05/05/2011 17:50

Happy Birthday Kpidgeon hope you are doing sty nice

Will look for FB group later ;-)

mixedmamameansbusiness · 05/05/2011 17:53

Have accepted the requests ladies.

You will see I created an albumn if we all do similar we will know who we all are Smile

alternatively just introduce yourselves so we know whos who.

Medee · 05/05/2011 18:17

I've joined now, just trying to put up some photos.

Lozario · 05/05/2011 19:51

I have requested to join too now! Looking forward to seeing pics of the little ones.

I'm v proud of myself as after DS's dinner I made spag bol whilst he was chopping up mushrooms (ie destroying them) and DD was in bouncy chair - just wondering if we're going to be able to eat it as she just won't settle tonight. We had a good night last night (8pm - 3am! Then a feed and went down again til 6ish) so we're due a shocker.

No time for individual posts - spag bol to eat hurriedly!

sittinghippo · 05/05/2011 20:12

Lozario well done! Enjoy your spag bol. Tonight I just CBA to cook so it was takeaway sausage and chips for all!

Am loving the FB group, it's the strangest thing putting real names to you all, but so lovely to see pictures of the little ones. Well done ladies, you've all made gorgeous babies... Grin

Petty and Halo I'm going to have to Google the saddle hold, have no idea what that is! Have just been doing the normal hold (across my body in my arms). I have however, managed to sort the laying down feeding at night, and yes it is bliss!! Never mastered that one with DD1 and always sat up in feeding chair for those night feeds. I love being able to snooze lightly and keep warm in bed.

Purplefan · 05/05/2011 22:25

Hi,
I have found the fb group but everytime I click on request to join it gives me an error page saying something went wrong - please try later. I've tried on a few occasions tonight.... any ideas?? Really want to join and see the pics of beautiful babbas!! Grin

Purplefan · 05/05/2011 23:22

Ooooh, my request to join seems to have gone through now.... so scrap last post... must get to bed now!! x

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/05/2011 23:42

I've signed up to the facebook group - how exciting!

Kpidgeon happy birthday

sittinghippo, jupiter - hahaha, stupid pregnancy brain has now changed to babybrain. I didnt even think about putting my name. Everyone will now when I add the FB group mind you!
catherine i'm jealous of all that sleep

Hoping for a better night tonight - Izzy slept in with us last night, she was unsettled after her jabs and just wanted to be cuddled. Fair enough, I'd be the same!

Jupiter118 · 05/05/2011 23:49

have also requested to join!!

Night - hope it is a good one.
