Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BellaDesconocida · 18/03/2011 22:12

:-( cheese, glad DD is brighter, hope you and DH feel better soon.

Elsa, Im introverted at mother and baby groups, didn't bother going this week, what a rebel I am! It can be so awkward if you don't know anyone, or if no one talks to you - aaaargh, makes me feel like a lemon. I need lessons in small talk. ( exercise session has turned out nicely for friendly peeps though)

tiredfeet · 18/03/2011 22:21

Oh cheese poor you. Take care of yourself, dh and me got sick straight after ds and its really exhausting

elsa I can be a bit introverted too, but find ds gets a lot out of the groups, he likes watching the older children and always naps really well afterwards for some reason. I like structured groups e.g. Baby sign, baby 'music' just so I don't panic about sitting on my own! But actually I find now we've been going for a while that more and more people are chatting to me. Prefer spending time with my pre baby friends really but as most of them work in the week its nice to have things to do

floozietoozie · 18/03/2011 22:44

Cheese I hope dd is better and you and dh improve rapidly. I hate hate hate being sick with a passion so you have all my sympathy. (I know no one likes it, but some people seem to find it physically eaiser to retch than me iyswim.)

Off to bed now. I lead such an exciting life.

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 19/03/2011 06:53

I hate being sick too, it's like choking & I panic about breathing. Dd2 starter in the night. Dh still holding off but we've been up all night with me, then dd2 then tried to get dd3 to feed at 5( hadn't had anything since 8) and she started retching. Shes had diaralyte & then milk so far they are still down.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 19/03/2011 09:35

We got back ok. Had a moment on the plane when I thought I was going to have a panic attack but steward got me a paper bag to breathe into and a brandy. Journey to airport was interesting. Big guns and tanks. I want to say don't believe everything on tne news - the protestors are not entirely innocent - it's them I was afraid of. They have vandalised their country.

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 19/03/2011 09:54

I've been so worried about you especially when they started advising people out as it has to get quite bad for them to do that. Bet you were v glad to see ds2 as well.

TysonNobdie86 · 19/03/2011 10:41

Oh ILGH thank God you are safe. I can breathe again.

tiredfeet · 19/03/2011 11:57

So glad you are back ok ilgh must have been a very worrying time especially with your children

cheese so sorry to hear you are all coming down with it,

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 19/03/2011 13:55

Phew. I know it's just the Internet, but I've been thinking of you and your family since your last post. Glad your ok :)

BellaDesconocida · 19/03/2011 17:19

Glad you got back safely ILGH, it must be wonderful being reunited, thanks for keeping us updated

Elsa123 · 19/03/2011 20:06

I'm so pleased you got back safely ILGH. Yup, there are always 2 sides to every story.

I'm glad your DD3 is on the mend cheese, just got the rest of you needing to ride it out. Keep your chin up.

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 19/03/2011 21:50

Uh oh, Ds has just thrown up all over his bed :( it's going to be a long night!!

BellaDesconocida · 19/03/2011 22:19

Ohno seashells, hope DS feels better soon, poor thing

sam12 · 19/03/2011 22:23

Glad you are back safely ilgh.
Cheese I hope you are all on the mend
Hope tonight isn't too bad sea.
Elsa I still haven't made it to any baby groups I could do with some of those small talk lessons Bella. I just find it really hard to talk to people I don't know.
Just heard from my friend who has been hospitalised with this sicky bug due to dehydration.

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 20/03/2011 07:21

Dd3 lot brighter. Went from 8-6 without feeding which a weekago would have been wonderful but I was worried. She didn't ask at 6 I encouraged.
Dd1/2 both iffy when they went to bed but not been up, dh& I both gurgly but not sick for a while. I feel v dehydrated.

tiredfeet · 20/03/2011 22:06

Sounds good cheese hope today was ok

Ds currently asleep in our bed with his arms stretched straight out to each side. Its a super king size bed and he is managing to take up most of it tonight, with dh and I teetering on the edges Grin

Totally forgot my mums birthday today though, I feel awful, had sent a card a few days ago luckily but then just forgot. Rang her quite by chance tonight and only when she thanked me for the card did I realise.

Elsa123 · 20/03/2011 22:20

Shock Tiredfeet shame on you! Grin. At least that small subconscious part of your brain told you to ring her!

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 21/03/2011 08:43

Tired- we've had a few nights like that too, how do children take up so much space!

Only up once last night, still worried about lack of fluids but nappies are wet now. She's turned into a real daddy's girl & watches him constantly & cries at his coat.

Osteo again today, don't feel up to it but I would still pay as I can't give 24 hours notice

BellaDesconocida · 21/03/2011 08:59

Hope you're feeling better, cheese, phew about DDs wet nappies.

I'm going to try and "do a Hermya" but my resolve may not last very long.
Lovely "speaking" to you all, may you enjoy your LOs and may they never give you a moments trouble (cue hysterical laughter).

Ciao for now!

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 21/03/2011 09:48

Bella-take care, don't leave it too long! I hope your LO continues to thrive :)

Cheese-wet nappies are a good sign, the body would retain the fluid if needed, so she must be getting enough now-poor little mite, I hope she recovers soon :)

Ds is still not great, just wants to sleep and is feverish :(

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 21/03/2011 10:30

Good luck Bella!

Spoke to HV this am as I just wanted to check she's ok with still not fully wet nappies etc & they were v good and have squeezed us into a toddler clinic later in the week to check her weight after 5 days of the runs on top of 2 sickness. Think she's ok but would like to make sure and will also have a new base line to build on.

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 21/03/2011 10:31

Seashells- is DS having S&D or virusy?

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 21/03/2011 13:32

Just spentan hour in the garden doing seeds then dd3 & I watching the frogs. She couldn't figure them out as they moved as soon as she saw them

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 21/03/2011 15:22

It's definitely more fluey virusy cheese-I think fever and hunger made him sick, not a vomiting bug and weve had no D.
Poor thing looks Miserable, I just hope the reatof us don't come
Down with it too :(

Sounds like dd is on the mend thank goodness.

We have another gorgeous day, but spending it inside thanks to Ds-I'm going up the walls, but he is clingy so ant leave him on sofa and go into garden - can't be for long!!

TysonNobdie86 · 21/03/2011 15:23

Bye Bella, hope to hear from you again soon.
I woul not cope without mumsnet atm :( Dh making my life so hard :(
