These people say they won't do them if they've got a cold so that's that.
Your day got any better?

mlic I'm crossing my fingers for you, you've had a right run of things recently.

CakeandRoses · 27/10/2010 21:20

Aw mlic i was excited for you there for a mo. Hope it improves later on.

tsc that is ridiculous - doesn't even sound legal actually. Sock it to the buggers.

Also, can you get on this thread and sort the poor girl out, she's in need of your brand of straight talking methinks. I did wonder if she had learning difficulties which would explain the state of her life and the fact she can't understand bills but it's not something you can just ask someone, is it?

stac14 · 27/10/2010 23:07

omfg cakes i had to have a look. Seriously controlled springs to mind with that girl, she seems to take what he says as gospel. I wouldnt be surprised if she is learning disabled or mega sheltered. She needs to leave. I havent posted as i feel she wont listen or understand

mlic hope you get a better night hun

tsc thats fecking shocking bout your washing machine, defo go to the shop.

Well rileighs asleep but i think she will be back up as had 7oz between 8 and 9.30 i need to get her to take more before bed x

just thought bout what i wrote last night mlic i know you have a hard time with w's feeding i was just trying to work out what i can do to get r to sleep better. How was your night?

tsc would it be worthwhile contacting trading standards or the citizens advice bueareu (sp) just seems that if you have a parts warrenty and they cant provide that then they have to give a replacement. I know my cover means if they cant fix it we get a new one. Good luck.

I am begining to think r is getting into the habit of having a cpl of feeds during the night rather than needing it iyswim.

I have a dodgey tum been up most of the night just hoping the kids dont get it. Hows everyone? Anyone up to much today? I'll be staying in x

Hi ladies. Excuse my prolonged absence, I've been trying to get on top of my laundry mountain. tsc you aren't in London are you? Feel free to come and use ours if you are.

mlic fingers crossed that the necklace does the job. You've had the patience of a saint as far as I can see over the last few months- I'm totally in awe of how on top of things you are: I go to pieces if gwen isn't in bed by 10, I don't know how I'd cope in your shoes!

chulita OMG re mixer, so jealous! I wish I'd put one on our wedding list.

meeta my daughter was born 26th July and we live in Vauxhall, but are mobile to anywhere inside the congestion zone. There is a sing and rhyme group here at durning library run by a French woman called veronique, but if its just socialising in French you're after, je suis toujours à la recharge d'amis français, pour peur de perdre ma connaisance du langage, si vous voulez organizer un rendez-vous. Since I moved back three years ago I've been steadily forgetting everything.

At the risk of sounding mean, I'm kind of glad all the dps are being a pain, makes me feel better!

Jonno the dog is back! He got picked up by the warden and the little bugger is home.

Chulita · 28/10/2010 09:24

Yay for the dog warden! Bet your dh is happier now needle. I've completely lost my french now, sometimes the french news goes on just to hear some but it's not the same.

cakes that girl sounds in such a bad situation, thing is I don't understand people who live together and don't have a joint account (maybe I'm just old fashioned!)

stac sorry you're feeling rough, hope your children don't catch it!

mlic you ok?

I've got a mound of washing to do, DD's in spossies this week cos her teething/cold nappies are vile and I can't take the cloth ones just now but she keeps leaking, bleugh!

Got to spend the day in waiting for the mixer, let's hope it comes soon or DD'll go stir crazy...

tsc that's an amazing sleep! Good for F :)

I've had one of those classic 'mum' days -
0448 Sam wakes for feed,
0530 back to sleep
0600 DD wakes up
and then it begins, 3 squitty teething-toddler nappies, biscuit spat out on living room carpet, green grollies wiped on linen chest, baby vom all down my back, let it dry, more baby vom down my cleavage, debate changing shirt, can't see the point, let it dry.
Battle to get S to nap, battle to get DD to nap and finally we have some peace til one or other wakes up again, spend an hour sorting washing/sweeping kitchen/getting more laundry done, sneak 10 mins on mn...
Problem is DH is having a 'fun' day at work with go-karting and leaving do so will come home all jolly and up for some nookie and I'll have to put thoughts of diarrhoea/grollies/vom/chewed up food out of my mind and try to feel sexy...yea fricking right.

Spirael · 28/10/2010 14:02

Afternoon all. :) Hope the day is going ok for everyone!

Things aren't too bad here, though M had her third set of vaccinations this morning. No more until next July now, at least! She bawled this time (I think I would have too with three injections!) but calmed down pretty fast with cuddles and milk.

I'm proud to report that I did not cry. Grin What small amount of dignity I still have is retained. I think it's because the pregnancy hormones are finally abandoning me... Along with my lovely thick pregnancy hair! :( Is anyone else shedding hair by the handful at the moment?

It's really interesting to hear the development points Ellie is reaching, kkfairybrains. :) M seems to be a bit slower than average on everything except sleeping! Though she was a couple of weeks ahead of her due date which might partially explain it.

I'm not worried because she seems to reach the targets eventually, she's just too lazy laid back to work for them it seems! She's only just started reaching for toys, and that's very half hearted. She doesn't seem bothered about rolling and gurgles happily rather than laughs at present no matter how many silly faces I pull.

How are the other LOs doing with their development targets? :) Just out of first timer curiosity rather than making it a race.

kkfairybrains · 28/10/2010 14:53

well every baby is different and will go at their own pace. ellie's prob not doing certain things that other babies are. i think she's maybe about average for doing things but to be honest i dont have a clue cause its my first time too! all i know is i get ridiculously excited over everything! i started crying with hapiness when she laughed Hmm!
chulita you have me laughing imagining what you look like right now! the glamorous life of motherhood eh.....!! dp always manages to get drool all over his shoulder and regularly goes to work like that having not noticed!
i have absolutely no motivation to do anything today. theres absolutely nothing in for dinner but i couldnt be bothered going shopping

Erk... I may have been a bit premature in my assumption that M was ok from the vaccinations. Confused

She'd been wanting to be latched all afternoon, presumably comfort as she wasn't really drinking, and since I'm not busy I figured I'd let her. But just over an hour ago she refused to relatch when I swapped sides and started bawling hysterically, which I could not calm her from with any amount of cuddles/food/pacing/nappychanging. :(

Her temperature is ok, but I've taken a guess that maybe she's aching from the vaccinations? So I've given her a dose of Calpol and that seems to have settled her. She's currently napping in her cot while I hover fretfully. She's never been a very cryful baby, so for her to bawl inconsolably for so long is out of character.

Is this likely to be due to the vaccinations, can anyone advise? I'm just a bit confused because she was fine after her other ones. Was Calpol the right thing to do..? I figured it wouldn't harm her, if nothing else.

Spirael · 28/10/2010 17:06

Phewf, she seems ok now after her nap. Grin Neurotic moment over!
