Thought we should update the thread! Grin

My gaps are 2 years 5 months and 4 years 4 months. To be honest I found both of these to be fine, so I am sure that anywhere in the middle would be good too Wink

I primed my kids that the new baby was coming for months beforehand. Even though ds1 was quite young he had heard so much about the new baby that he was fine with it. Plus, he loved the extra cbeebies viewing time.

Amberc · 01/11/2010 13:09

Dewin - it should have a lid right? That'll keep the week off everything. Then stick it in the sanitary bin. Ooh I can't wait to find out the result!!

Rolf · 01/11/2010 13:10

Dewin my girls are 3 years apart. I posted about it earlier today Smile

DewinDoeth · 01/11/2010 13:11

F f f*. Did the test, did it wrong (it's not for dummies, this fancy test) and got an error message! Doh! After going to extreme lengths to hide the packaging in a bag in the bin, and then the test itself in the sanitary bucket...unbelieavable!

Now I'm going to have to go to get another one.

Doh! Blush

PiggyPenguin · 01/11/2010 13:14

whispers "pregnancy brain" runs off before Dewin catches and pummels her...

going · 01/11/2010 13:15

That's so frustrating Dewin!

We are quite young to have a nine year old - we are 32/33 and DH(that feels good!) is older than me despite the fact he looks younger!

DewinDoeth · 01/11/2010 13:18

Sybil that was quite polite really - I called myself worse things in the bathroom just now! Grin

Going you and your DH look like you're 25 or so in those photos, though! Tell me what moisturiser you're using! Your DH does look really young - must be a man thing, so does mine, and he's 3 years older than me.
Thrilled I got you to type 'DH' btw! Grin

systemsaddict · 01/11/2010 13:19

Oh how annoying for you - and how extraordinary that we now live in a world where a pregnancy test can have an error message!!

DewinDoeth · 01/11/2010 13:20

It's worse than that, Systems. It was a so-called 'book error' (seriously). Quite appropriate in my line of work.

PiggyPenguin · 01/11/2010 13:21

Oh Going, you look so happy in all of those photos, really glowing and joyous. Congratulations.

KnittingisbetterthanTherapy · 01/11/2010 13:28

going, your pics are lovely - what a fab time you had!

Dewin, congrats! Glad I didn't tell you that she was having a nervous breakdown with a 3 yr age gap Wink! Seriously though, she has had a quite a straightforward time of it - and now she's back to work she only has two months of double childcare to pay for before her DD starts school Envy.

It's nice to log on to such lovely news. Just spent the morning with a friend of mine who's just left her dh cos he was hitting her. Her DS is 11mths Sad. It's left me feeling a bit shell shocked. So nice to have something to make me Smile.

Dewin, how can I possibly concentrate on my revision while waiting for your news. Go get another test!

Going, I loved your photos. You all look so very happy! And 'awwwww' at your first use of DH Smile

Knitting, how awful about your friend. Did you have any inkling at all before that anything wasn't right? It's good that she's found the strength to leave him though.

Amber - you mentioned daylight saving time on fb. One of the arguments in favour of it is that without it, in Scotland (and I think the most northern parts of England) children would be going to school in the dark and morning rush hour would be in the dark, thus leading to more accidents. Debates on daylight saving can be quite heated!

DomesticGoddessInTraining · 01/11/2010 14:14

Knitting - have you ordered your easel yet? If not, go check out the GLTC thread in promos. If you have, then don't Wink.

KnittingisbetterthanTherapy · 01/11/2010 14:22

No I haven't, thanks DG! Grin

DomesticGoddessInTraining · 01/11/2010 14:30

Phew. Well go and find the 15% off with free delivery then!

PiggyPenguin · 01/11/2010 14:38

Oooh, I want that easel for J too but can't find the place for promos - can anyone tell me what the code is? Please??

PiggyPenguin · 01/11/2010 14:44

Not to worry, I managed to find it!

DewinDoeth · 01/11/2010 15:18

I'm thinking of getting the IKEA one for Iestyn - is that a good one?

DomesticGoddessInTraining · 01/11/2010 15:30

Deb has the ikea one Dewin. It looks good, but it was a wee bit high for S when he tried it out in store. I liked the GLTC one because of the tray and the paper roll bit at the top and because my parents are buying it Grin

PiggyPenguin · 01/11/2010 16:09

Debalso said that the IKEA one has no wooden section under the chalk board so all the chalk dust falls on the floor. The thought of extra cleaning put me right off!

I don't think it has a magnetic whiteboard either, its just a whiteboard and as those pens are buggers to get out of clothes I was planning to just use the magnet bit for J to begin with.

Amberc · 01/11/2010 16:37

Domestic - thanks for that on Daylight saving. I just wonder every time what the point is. I thought it might have had something to do with farming once upon a time...

Going - sorry I'm such an idiot and should have remembered it was you getting married but I'm such a div at putting FB and MN together! You look very gorgeous and what a beautiful colour your dress is!

DoNotFeedMeBiscuits · 01/11/2010 16:46

Congrats Dewin! Go and get the other test now!

knitting you have a double nipper don't you? can you tell me about it please? I did start a thread in pushchairs, but no-one has spoken up about the nipper yet!

DoNotFeedMeBiscuits · 01/11/2010 16:47

Oh, and Domestic have just bought our tickets for the Christmas concert, and noticed that they are doing the same one in Edinburgh the next day, I think at the Festival theatre?

ktpie · 01/11/2010 16:58

Wow, I've missed loads, congratulations to Dewin and Going!

The ILs left this afternoon, they have been here since Friday, we had a nice weekend but it is nice to get back to just us Grin. This morning J was very naughty and tantrummy when we were getting ready to go out, he hasn't been like that for a long time, typical. MIL helpfully pointed out that DH only ever had one tantrum (of course).

DoNotFeedMeBiscuits · 01/11/2010 17:15

Missed out saying congrats to going!
