UKIP want us out of the EU, I love Europe can't stand the EU.We pay 40 million a day to them
1)72% of our laws are now made in Brussells, from fuel taxes, farming, fishing and immigration.
2)We pay £40 million a day to be in the EU.
3)The Two richest countries in Europe-Norway and Switzerland are not even in the EU.
4)Under labour we now have 3.5 million extra people living in this country. We need proper border controls. Nick Cleggs policy is to count people in and out of the country, and force them to work in 'regions' totally unworkable. UKIP would keep our proud tradition of helping genuine asylum seekers.
5)UKIP does not appear to be anti-christian as do the other parties. The labour parties spin doctor Alistair Campbell said they "don't do God!" I do.
6)UKIP believes in holding referendums for the electorate on key local and international issues. I like this.
7)Crime is now out of contol, UKIP would build more prisons. Last but not least, Lord Pearson (leader) is 'posh' and does not try to hide it.

Supergem. No, 72% of our laws are now made in Brussels. With the Lisbon Treaty we now have an EU President, EU Foreign Minister and embassies. They are making many of our laws and we are paying for that privaledge.

I don't think that sacking inspectors because crime has risen is addressing the issues though is it?
Unless it's the inspector that is carrying out a one man crime wave,....

How would that improve crime figures in your opinion?

itsmeitsmeolord · 20/04/2010 20:55

Do you mean 72% of new laws? Just looking for some clarification.

No pie lenin, only hot air...

ShadeofViolet · 20/04/2010 21:00

The sacking off inspectors seems a ridiculous idea - police forces are not premier league clubs!

ShadeofViolet · 20/04/2010 21:00

There is some bullshit pie if you want some of that!

meolord. If anyone is not doing their job, particularly when they are meant to be protecting the public they should be sacked!

Are you ignoring my question crystal - I asked what UKIP's policies are on Health and The Economy - are these important issues to you?

sungirltan · 20/04/2010 21:09

CRYSTAL123 I ASKED YOU A POLITICAL QUESTION!!!

ShadeofViolet · 20/04/2010 21:12

She only seems to be able to respond the the political questions that have something to do with Europe or policing. She seems blinkered by these subjects.

Crystal - I also wanted to ask what put you off the Conservatives. I saw your thread yesterday about how inspiring DC is.

Supergem · 20/04/2010 21:13

No no no that 72 per cent figure has been trotted out by UKIP for years and is utterly wrong. I find it hilarious that it's still being bandied about.
It was taken from a speech by former President of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pottering. He was actually referring to the proportion of total EU legislation that is passed by the European Parliament via the co-decision procedure. It in no way relates to the amount of UK legislation emanating from the EU!
Good grief.

sungirltan · 20/04/2010 21:18

FUMES!!!

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 21:23

Shadeofviolet. You seem to be of the opinion that I am Lord Pearson. I'm not, I state my reasons for voting UKIP and you may take it or leave it. As you can see this post has received 110 hits. They will keep the NHS as it is, support nurses and doctors, GPs. If we leave the EU we will not be paying them 40 million a day and that will be good for the economy. That is it. If you want a more indepth analysis from a politician I suggest you contact the UKIP headquarters. Thanks, but I must go to bed. I will answer some more questions tommorow if they are asked.

SUNGIRLTAN. I'M NOT A POLITICIAN! this post has had over 116 threads, do you really think I can answer them all! I stated MY reasons for voting UKIP. If you want indepth analysis of policies, then contact the UKIP headquarters.

crystal......do UKIP have any chance of winning in your area..?

daftpunk · 20/04/2010 21:35
Supergem · 20/04/2010 21:39

Does UKIP know what percentage of our pies are made in Brussels?

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 21:41

SHADEOFVIOLET. I have met David Cameron and although he was charming, I felt with the political questions (that I shall not go into)I asked him, and his replies he appeared quite naive. He has got some good ideas though. It's just my personal opinion, and as we know everyone can be subjective, and perhaps not as objective as we should be.

Ah, yes, where none of the other parties are fielding a candidate against the speaker, as per tradition?
