UKIP want us out of the EU, I love Europe can't stand the EU.We pay 40 million a day to them
1)72% of our laws are now made in Brussells, from fuel taxes, farming, fishing and immigration.
2)We pay £40 million a day to be in the EU.
3)The Two richest countries in Europe-Norway and Switzerland are not even in the EU.
4)Under labour we now have 3.5 million extra people living in this country. We need proper border controls. Nick Cleggs policy is to count people in and out of the country, and force them to work in 'regions' totally unworkable. UKIP would keep our proud tradition of helping genuine asylum seekers.
5)UKIP does not appear to be anti-christian as do the other parties. The labour parties spin doctor Alistair Campbell said they "don't do God!" I do.
6)UKIP believes in holding referendums for the electorate on key local and international issues. I like this.
7)Crime is now out of contol, UKIP would build more prisons. Last but not least, Lord Pearson (leader) is 'posh' and does not try to hide it.

Are those 2.5 million people Bono's collective pimp? Or does he vote for UKIP? He's v quiet about it. Not like him at all.

ilovemydogandmrobama · 20/04/2010 17:39

There was a debate in Bristol with all the parliamentary candidates. UKIP didn't show

sungirltan · 20/04/2010 17:40

op. re point 7. expand please on why you think this will reduce crime

MmeLindt · 20/04/2010 18:00

Listening to Lord Pearson state that he is not a career politician and therefore can not talk about the ins and outs of his party's manifesto.

Tbh, it is all so silly, and hardly worth spending time debating.

CantSupinate · 20/04/2010 18:28

One of the recent by-elections -- I noticed that the combined votes for all the anti-EU parties (UKIP, BNP, etc.) easily beat the actual winner.

Scarey, isn't it? What if BNP+UKIP+England Firsters/etc. all made a pact of convenience; they'd sweep the boards in most the country, I reckon.

MmeLindt · 20/04/2010 18:32

CantSupinate
The advantage with political parties such as these is that they are all big hot air balloons. Before the election they have lots of populist rantings, some of which attract voters. After the election they are too dim to actually govern and generally self-destruct in a short period of time.

(see German extremist parties, both left and right wing)

itsmeitsmeolord · 20/04/2010 18:43

OP you're an odd little thing aren't you. If you still feel I levelled a personal insult at you in my earlier posts you are welcome to report me.

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 19:57

Meolord.Of course I would not report you or anyone.I'm far too nice for that. Just as I would'nt report SOH for attempting to eat spiders and report her to the RSPCA. Or report her to Bono's wife for trying to faciitate a blow job with her husband,or for her fetish of wanting to stick hot pokers up her bottom. Although I would not report her, I totally disagree with that one, as it is the method used by hunters many moons ago to kill tigers, (very painful and not to be recommended). I do feel that as I know her personally, some would say 'intimately'I really feel she could take 'it all' at once and not feel any pain!
Now we have had a laugh, let's get back to the politics!

OP posts:
itsmeitsmeolord · 20/04/2010 19:59

at the notion of ukip and politics in the same sentence.....

Sorry. Will behave now.
What aspect of their policy would you like to discuss?

itsmeitsmeolord · 20/04/2010 20:01

Er hang on?? Are you implying that you actually know SOH?? If so this has gone a little too far down the stalker route for my liking. Please clarify.

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 20:12

Immigration. UKIP has a policy and Nick Clegg does not. Although he will count people in and out of the country and herd them into regions so that they can stay there forever. I fear he will send everyone up to Scotland and even I could not survive the cold winters away from England's green and pleasant land, (sounds like a hymn I used to know)I may start singing it in a moment. Before you say it, I'm not going further than Hadrians Wall.

They should deport you to the Isle of Man you whack-job. No offence meant like. But you're two bats short of a belfry.

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 20:19

I must confess I do not know her in the 'biblical' sense, but I'm sure we all now know her wishes from her posts.

OP posts:
crystal123 · 20/04/2010 20:22

Coolfonz. I could not wait for you to appear and be insulting. Personal insults are just your 'thing' with no humour behind them.

OP posts:
itsmeitsmeolord · 20/04/2010 20:26

Nick Clegg does have a policy, you just don't agree with it.

So what is the single most important thing to you as a voter that UKIP will do then?

(glad to hear you are not a stalker by the way)

LadyBiscuit · 20/04/2010 20:28

crystal123 - I heard UKIP's immigration policy being decimated on radio 4 the other day. It doesn't include: students, asylum seekers, workers on short term visas or those who are genuinely married to a UK citizen (the leader of UKIP has to include that - he's married to a Filipina). Apparently if you exclude all of those, the remainder is about 4 people. Entirely without impact effectively

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 20:29

Coolfonz. What's wrong with the Isle of Man that you wish to deport people there? UKIPs vote just went up 100% on the Isle of Man.

PrincessFiorimonde · 20/04/2010 20:34

Anyone remember the Referendum Party? Am I right in thinking that in 1997 they took enough votes from the Tories to let Labour in?

So, Crystal, are you in fact a Labour plant, hoping to split the right-wing vote?

PfftTheMagicDragon · 20/04/2010 20:36

WHat about all the other issues crystal? Over 50% of your points relate to Europe. The EU is a tiny part of the issues facing politicians.

I could not care less about our involvement in the EU as a voting point.

ShadeofViolet · 20/04/2010 20:36

If she is trying to get anyone to vote for UKIP she isnt doing a very good job.

Supergem · 20/04/2010 20:39

"72% of our laws are now made in Brussells"
This is completely, utterly and hilariously wrong.
Bless you for trying though.

ShadeofViolet · 20/04/2010 20:39

What are UKIP's policies on Health, The Economy and Education?

crystal123 · 20/04/2010 20:46

meolord. I think the biggest thing that UKIP will do is free people up from the Big
Brother State. At the moment many people feel the political elite of Westminster do not listen to them. Many people feel disenfranchised from the political process, they feel that they have no voice. I believe that UKIP will give people a voice, in local referendums. Say for instance, sacking the police inspectors if they don't do their jobs and crime continues to rise.
I hope education will improve with whatever party is in power, as now many children leave school without being able to read and write properly. UKIP would scrap student loans and give grants instead. Thankyou for a political question.

"Personal insults are just your 'thing' with no humour behind them."

Yeah, but debating with you right wing fruit loops is soooooo 1930's. Best to send you to the naughty step pronto with a little slap, nip it in the bud.

Pinochet or Chavez?

ShadeofViolet · 20/04/2010 20:51

What about health, and the economy?

Are they going to have referendums on everything?
