A difference of 1.7%. That’s less than half the difference of the 4% in the 2016 referendum which remain supporters said was insufficient to make an informed decision. So, where the excitement is coming from is odd.

You surely can't be suggesting that Reform politicians can be bought if the financial incentive is high enough? Whatever gave you that idea.

I assume all politicians are on the same salary depending on seniority. I read yesterday that the donations will allow the party ‘to professionalise’ in readiment for government in a couple of years. I’m not sure what that means exactly, but judging from the calibre of local Reform councillors we can all agree it’s a shit show currently.

The big drop for Reform since May vs. is this a hard number that will never drop now? How hard/soft is their number?

I'm not sure how additional funds will stop Reform being attractive to criminals or persuade intelligent competent and decent people to stand for them.
I assume the funds that don't go directly to further enrich Farage will be used to 'campaign', ie spout the same old garbage to a wider audience on a bigger platform.
I'm not sure it will work anyway, because they've had so much exposure that most people know what they're about already. I suppose it could embolden them to spread more lies and misinformation knowing they can afford the legal costs.

About 3 months ago Reform were advertising a new post to vet their candidates - think it was new candidates only so their established councillors etc wouldn't be effected

Seemed a bit of an oversight at the time

So they can relax and keep the law as is, rather than scramble to find more ways to stop it. Labour seem to be sweating about their own political survival.

I am not sure that some of these posts will age well, when the Tories sneak in during the next GE.

How is this going to happen? Which seats, with which votes? Presumably the thinking is they would reclaim Reform votes? Because they won't be getting many from Labour now - the votes that were going to leave Labour have gone - to Greens, to Lib Dems, to Plaid and some to Reform.

The Tories have an issue - the more they court Reform voters the more they risk losing seats to the Lib Dems.

Badenoch's personal numbers are up a bit but no change for the party. The Tories are not budging from 20%.

I think Reform has stolen Conservative voters which is where the problem lies.

I’m finding myself liking Leila Cunningham. She’s yet to say anything I don’t agree with.

I quite like her too, no-one can say she’s not committed. i don’t think her appearances are winning anyone over though, and i see a lot of Reform supporters who dislike her style too. She’s dogged but a bit of a car crash at times.

But now it appears we agree - union members choose to make the political donations so they are individual donations.
