@BrandiedAromatics

If you remember the MPs expenses scandal, all the major parties were involved. Some MPs went to jail. So, on your logic, people who support, Conservatives, Labour, etc., are supporting those who went to jail for expenses fraud.

I know that in my constituency and area that it did affect the way people vote. With Reform it is now revealed to be something shady with all the main players. You can't honestly think the problems that I have outlined, that are current not in the past, are all right?

TemperanceWest · 12/09/2026 09:57

Will £36m help Reform win the votes needed to win a majority in Parliament?

Reform's core support won't care about this, but the voters who are weighing up who to vote for might. Those are the voters Reform needs to win over.

@DuncinToffee

What’s sovereignty got to do with legal donations? As for ownership, is Ireland not owned by the US companies who were attracted by the low corporate taxes?

Hang on. What is anything you are posting, on a thread about Reform allegedly taking dodgy donations, got to do with dodgy donations ?

And that is quite a claim. That Ireland is "owned" by US companies. I thought they would be owned by the EU. Is that not your usual thing re the EU ? That the EU takes away sovereignty ?

This is getting confusing. As for Reform, at the moment the cops are investigating. No doubt this thread will energize again once there is news on that.

Warmlight1 · 12/09/2026 10:13

What does he want?
I think we have to remember it's small change to him
Several theories here
Philanthropy? He saw Nigel's sterling health and safety leadership at the conference and the assaults on women and thought...that's the kind of outfit humankind needs?????
Mysogyny- he actively supports assaults on women and wants more of it
Panic- he's seeing an important plan going down the drain and is threatened enough to want to pump money in
Linked to no 3- Offsetting any legal fees- has anybody done the calculation of how much reform could face if they are legislated against/ sued- because I'm sure Reform have.
Religious fervour- he is someone with very rigid views on marriage etc and happens also to be a crypto millionaire and wants a return to 50 s UK even though he's only returned to make a donation it appears
Mates- he is someone's mate
Trade- it's money he wouldn't have made without Reform in some form
As to specifics, it's beyond me.

@Warmlight1

So far, those who were attacked at the Reform Party conference have not come forward. Any ideas what that might be?

The donation made by Ben Delo was to the Reform party, not to those in the audience.

@EEexpat people keep asking that to random people on the internet - how would I know? And how do you know they haven't? I don't think police have commented in the last few days have they?
In any case the reality is it's up to them whether they do and they don't have to explain it.
There are lots of ways organisations can be sued/ held accountable. So what makes you so sure that isn't happening?

Ihateboris · 12/09/2026 11:33

BrandiedAromatics · 12/09/2026 09:41

Reform does not even have a veneer of respectability now. Look at the donors - Delo, Cottrell and their convictions. The exposé of James Orr.

The misogyny of Farage, Anderson and Jenrick in their responses to a multi-attack on a woman.

If you support Reform you support men like this?

I agree with everything you say. However, unfortunately I don't think Reform disciples will care about their morals, as they're all no doubt the same ilk. This opinion is based on listening to some callers to LBC where the voters said they don't care what Reform do, they'll get rid of the immigrants so there!

No such statement was made. The wording was:

As for ownership, is Ireland not owned by the US companies who were attracted by the low corporate taxes?

That’s a question, not a claim.

@Ihateboris

Do you have categorical evidence they haven't come forward? 🤔

It’s on the West Midlands website.

https://www.westmidlands.police.uk/news/west-midlands/news/news/2026/september/update-on-investigation-into-assaults-at-reform-uk-national-conference-at-the-nec/

Can’t find anymore recent updates. So, what would be the reason they haven’t come forward? I would have thought it would’ve been on T he news by now even if they wanted to remain anonymous?

Absolutely disgusting, they should all be changed with assault and if say one at least it's sexual assault having watched the video.

Honestly these reform idiots are the worst of the worst.

DuncinToffee · 12/09/2026 12:53

The protesters weren't hiding behind balaclavas.

WMP is investigating and asking not to speculate about identity of those involved.

No idea what businesses investing in Ireland has to do with Reform donations

DuncinToffee · 12/09/2026 13:02

Astounding story. Reform receives a second £36m donation from a crpto billionaire in 48 hours.

Christopher Harborne- the £5m benefactor- has matched Ben Delo's money pound for pound.

£72m in total. Approaching US politics sort of money.

I am sure Farage will be celebrating with a pie and a pint, like the man of the people he is.

Not sure if he still is.

Him returning to the UK does not fit the narrative of how the UK is in such a bad state.

For those sort of sums, I'm guessing that they will be expecting quite a lot more from Reform than a monthly newsletter.

I wonder how long it will take either of them to realise that he is a liability and not an asset.

EEexpat · 12/09/2026 13:47

If those who were attacked came forward, as encouraged by the West Midlands Police, wound it not make identification of the attackers more clear?

Donations do not constitute ownership. They are gifts given of free will and the donor can’t control what the recipient does with the gift. Maybe look at:

That's a good point as if they have both been out of the country views can be very skewed. But if it didn't occur after the conference....it's almost as if they want more of the same. I wonder if it's a sign of nervousness.

Donations are not investments. They are gifts. The donor gives up ownership of the gift and can’t specify expectations in return.

I think the Delo donation is hilarious. Regardless of the outcome of the investigations, Farage will be laughing big time.

As per latest PollCheck, Labour is on 26% and Reform 23%. Most recent YouGov is that Labour and Reform jointly lead with 23% each.
