John Healey, who quit as Keir Starmer's defence secretary last month, has been pictured walking up Downing Street - is he about to be reinstated as Defence Secretary, I wonder.

Ed Miliband and Shabana Mahmood also photographed walking up Downing Street together - but we still don't which positions they will be given in Cabinet.

Streeting hasn’t been in yet so he’s not getting a good role.

Streeting stood back to support Burnham. So surely he's got to get a look in, unless he's going to be shafted.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has entered the house (no 10).

Why? She hasn’t exactly shone in her last position!

I assumed he would be given something good but no sign of him yet.

Held a number of positions in government and shadow and always well thought of. Thoughtful and clever - writes as well. A class act.

Return as health secretary?

Did he actually stand back or did he never really have the numbers? It was never entirely clear to me.

These are the real power brokers - Louise Haigh and Anneliese Midgley:

If Andy Burnham becomes prime minister, it will be, at least in part, because of Haigh and Midgley. In their different ways, they have been the true power brokers of the past several years of the Labour government. Haigh, the higher-profile former cabinet minister, revived and grew the Tribune group of MPs, turning it into a serious organising vehicle within the Parliamentary Labour Party. She is now well-known for orchestrating the welfare rebellion that heralded the moment in which the McSweeneyite approach began to fail. Surprised and outmanoeuvred again, Starmer’s team weren’t even exactly sure who had coordinated this rebellion that they hadn’t seen coming. Haigh - a woman convicted of fraud is part of Burnham’s cabinet. That sums up the dire state of the talent pool in Labour.

Concerning. But if he's including Raynor too .. it's all dirty.

He was doing reasonably well. I'd not have Cooper near it either though.

I really liked Darren Jones, who was in the role she has got:

but you have to be close to the PM for this particular job and she has been working with Burnham for over a year to make him PM.

Who in particular?

I have professional connections with Yvette Cooper who is such a clever politician (see my post above).

She is so detailed, accurate and nothing gets past her - so take her off your list!

Who do you see in action? What exactly is it that they are dire at?

Healey resigned on a matter of principle, good minister and deserves the job given, Streeting resigned because he was a whiny so and so who thought he could do better than Starmer and will probably get nothing of consequence

Oh the irony! Mr Net Zero Milliband now has a job with a carbon footprint that is literally sky high!

He didn’t challenge Burnham because he didn’t have the numbers. I doubt Burnham had to promise him anything.

Haigh and Raynor. A fraudster and a liar. Sounds like Mr Burnham’s moral compass is in the gutter.
