There is ONE thing which may help Burnham, over Starmer.

Burnham will not have the baggage of the incompetent and vindictive Reeves.

One cannot overstate just how big a part Reeves played in Starmer’s downfall.

The issue is the spiralling welfare bill that the back benchers dont want to change. They have plenty in their area who are living off benefits and PIP.

If it was me I would scrap the triple lock. Have PIP assessments face to face only. We all know people doing cash in hand jobs and the endless barbers and nail bars just continue with their 'cash' only demands. Look at people claiming to be single but having their partner living with them. They wont tell anyone as it will affect their benefits.

The NEETS need to feel the pain of not working. At present they are claiming JSA whilst living at home. Its like the goverment giving them pocket money to do nothing.

In reality probably till the next election then he’ll be out… I think there is something very wrong with politics/ British people / the media though and we seem to absolutely love to hate our leaders (especially the labour ones) and want to bring them down and look for the next golden goose until the shine wears off and we chop them down to bits too. Far too many people believe the drivel spouted by the far right / British press / social media. For Starmer it started before he was even elected with ‘I don’t like him, I’m not sure why, I just don’t…’ as if it’s a popularity contest. Maybe this is just the new norm.

Lammy has gone to the back benches. I think that is a decision everyone can get behind.

Where are all the jobs for the NEETS? There aren’t any.

That’s why skills training is needed. We needs lots and lots of tradesmen because there’s a huge shortage now. Those 1.5 million houses aren’t going to build themselves. We need ground workers, brickies, electricians, plumbers, plasterers. We look at where labour shortages exist and get young people skilled to fill them.

That really isnt true. There are but they dont want to do them. I have two sons within this age group. Both of them are in full time work. Their expectations need to be managed. Do anything until you find what you want.

The government should not be givig you money to stay at home with parent doing very little whilst being given pocket money.

Those 1.5 million houses can’t be built for the foreseeable due to water shortages. It looks like Labour haven’t done their homework
