If I lived in Clacton I absolutely would! 😀

I hope people dont! The people of Clacton deserve better than a joke vote

They got the joke vote last time with Farage. He's a carpetbagger who used them to get elected. And yes, they do deserve better.

Itsallrelativeinnit · 08/07/2026 19:53

I don’t live in Clacton. If I did, I think I would vote Binface - not even as a protest vote. I just think the vast majority of people are less divisive, less harmful, less self-interested and would try to do a better job for their constituents. What policies have been helpful rather than harmful that Farage has influenced in all his years in politics?

VoteForCountBinface · 08/07/2026 19:54

Of course!

Oh dear.... The joke writes itself!

ThatJadeLion · 08/07/2026 19:54

Absolutely yes. I would cancel plans to get my vote in.

Cheeseandolivesplease · 08/07/2026 19:55

@Platypusdiver Nigel's out campaigning I think?

Allmarbleslost · 08/07/2026 19:58

Absolutely!!! I wonder if Farage is planning to visit Clacton for his campaign? Someone better get him a map so he can find it

Jon Harvey is smart, successful, knowledgeable, and experienced in dealing with the media and public. He also understands true British culture.

Blightfitting · 08/07/2026 20:02

Not only would I vote for him because he's infinitely more preferable to Farage (in terms of ideology and effort), but it is squarely the patriotic thing to do. All these flag-clad 'patriots' have the choice between:

  1. A grifting fascist Putin-lover who'd turn the Tower of London into a Trump hotel in a heartbeat if he could nab a piece for himself, and who clearly has little time for British values like freedom of the press, free speech and not laundering dodgy money, or
  2. A funny guy who'll do his best for you.

Binface is the true patriot's obvious choice.

danglethedingle · 08/07/2026 20:03

I keep reading NF as National Front, not Nigel Farrage. Bit unfortunate. 😬

Platypusdiver · 08/07/2026 20:04

Yes. I would vote for binface gladly and in good conscience.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 08/07/2026 20:05

Absolutely I would.

But accurate…

Jon Harvey (Count Binface) is a comedian, actor and writer who has worked on HIGNFY and The Thick of It. He's said that if he won he'd move to Clacton and do his best for them.

What has NF done in the last 2+years?

Vote Binface!

Edited

Exactly, he's a clever guy who would clearly be a good MP.

Farage is a joke vote..but not a funny one.

IStillHearTheWaves · 08/07/2026 20:08

I'd get a job so I wouldn't have to live in the cesspit that is Clacton.

ChocolateBiscuitsandaCuppa · 08/07/2026 20:09

100% I would. And not just over Farage/Reform either.

Uricon2 · 08/07/2026 20:12

Anyone scoffing at Binface should perhaps think about Zelenskyy.

A comedian and the Ukrainian voice of Paddington Bear, who very shortly after being elected became a resolute and formidable war leader who has faced down Putin, with the support of his people.

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 08/07/2026 19:37

He's a friend of a friend and actually a really nice bloke. My mate reckons he'd be a good MP if he got in.

He’s educated and his policies are silly but not stupid.

Same. I tried half heartedly to stop, then decided tomayto/tomato.

LlynTegid · 08/07/2026 21:09

In 2024 I lived in London and had a vote in the London Mayoral election. I objected to the Tories taking away the supplementary (second choice) vote, and the other changes such as biased ID requirements.

I voted for Count Binface as a form of protest vote.

Cheeseandolivesplease · 08/07/2026 21:11

Word has it Nige is going to chicken out... Gutted if he does!

Where have you read this? So he wouldn't be an MP at all any more?

TheFairyCaravan · 08/07/2026 21:22

If it was him or Farage absolutely. Mind you, I’d vote for my hamster over Farage.

Solasum · 08/07/2026 21:29

Some of Count Binface’s policies would be very interesting; at one point he suggested capping the salaries of government to match nursing salaries.
