I'm no fan of Kemi Badenoch, but I'm even less of a fan of Robert Jenrick, and I'm rather delighted to see that she has sacked him and withdrawn the whip before he could jump to Reform.

She has definitely had the last laugh here. He must be spitting bullets!!

He stepped down his own MPs to allow the Tories to win a majority in 2019 because he was happy with Johnson’s Brexit plans, and he played a prominent role in Brexit even being a thing by making up lie after lie about how great it would be.

He lies every time he opens his mouth, he’s a fucking charlatan and a conman, and too many people have been taken in by him and blinded to it all. It’s a cult, same as MAGA.

He says he doesn’t want foreign influence in our politics, yet thinks it’s fine for Trump and Musk to medal in it, goes to Davos to increase his foreign influence on the world stage 🤣

He said he had never met Nathan Gill when he has been pictured with him, lies about the safety of our streets (most notably London), he parrots Russian talking points because he’s a Russian asset, not to mention endorses a paedophile. He’s a threat to our national security while telling you he cares about Britain. He’s a joker.

None of this is fact.

None of this is fact.

But it is though, you can deny it all you want. Stay deluded and stick your fingers in your ears. Up to you. You are following a cult after all, their members don’t listen to reason by design.

I'm concerned but not panicking. I know that there is a proportion of the electorate who would vote Reform but I'm clinging to the hope that the majority have enough sense to realise what a terrible mistake this would be.

Plus there are several more years for people to see the trajectory of the populist right in the US and for Reform councils to carry on fucking up. People may yet come to their senses.

Don’t worry, Reform have made a right mess of it in Kent CC. Instead of the DOGE type cuts they promised, spending has gone up with thousands spent on political advisers. Council finances are worse than ever. Not to mention the shouting insults and swearing in council meetings. It’s a shit show.

Yes, I live in a different Reform council and it's the same here... total shitshow.

I'm a big fan of Kemi Badenoch and plan to vote for her in 2029.

I like Kemi but I think what she did yesterday was damage limitation. He was going, she knew it and choose to make the statement move she did to get ahead of the game. Mainstream Conservatives on opposition benches don't necessarily agree with Kemi and once she's done the hardwork to increase their support, she'll be replaced. Think about the ten years of Conservatives before the last election, those politicians that didn't do anything in the last government are still there, waiting to get back on the gravy train at the next election. Country wanted change before the last election and voted in Labour on a now defunct manifesto replacementi of which is being made up as this government goes along. Nothing to choose between Labour and Conservatived and if either get elected we will have more of the same.

Yes, that’s what you’re supposed to think @Freud2

Good on Kemi!

Yeah can't wait for the NHS to be dismantled.. no wait....🤔

Well the NHS works so well now doesn't it.? It needs total reform with a party that's not scared to do it!

It’s was working as well as any healthcare system could until 2010 with a 70% public approval rating.

Be careful what you wish for.

The NHS is one of the best systems in the world for access and equity.

It clearly needs improvements but Reform cannot be trusted.

That’s right, so he can sell it off to American investors. Have you not connected the dots? He’s a trumps brown ring licker. Him, Putin and Trump are all in cahoots on project 2025.

Trump is interested in making money from the UK health system and Farage is a vehicle for achieving that. Nige doesn’t give a single fuck about the British people. He’s following the money. That is literally it. He’s counting on people like you to not see what’s happening so you’ll sleep walk into selling your own country down the proverbial river.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 16/01/2026 21:57

Kemi is a Queen. She is really good. Shame on the tories for letting themselves go and not doing the basics for people. She has a hard hill to climb but if she she doesn’t succeed the shame won’t be on her.

RavenhairedRachel · 16/01/2026 22:04

Whatever your political stance you have to come to the realisation that Reform will probably win the next election. Seeing as people have lost faith in the Conservatives and Labour quite frankly are a joke.I think he has been disloyal and I can't blame Kemi for her actions. However hes jumped on the Reform gravy train and I think alot more will follow him.

HK04 · 16/01/2026 22:09

I’ve never voted 🗳️ Tory but Kemi is a bad a55… absolutely nails PMQs and love she took this clown down before he got to humiliate her.

Never ever thought I’d ever say it but I’d rather this smart lady was our PM vs Kier and the Incapables…

PetuniaT · 16/01/2026 22:09

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 15/01/2026 17:49

How is it change though, if it's just full of failed ex-Tories?

It's a change in as much as Labour is full of failed Labour MPs and whereas it took 14 years and 4 general elections to get fed up of the Tories it's only taken 18 months to get fed up of Labour again - much less in my case.

I don’t agree, I honestly think enough people will vote tactically to keep them out. People forget the Greens are also doing quite well.

I think a hung parliament or coalition is much more likely. Anyway we’ll see in when it happens, a lot can happen in week as they say in Politics never mind a few years.

Pacificsunshine · 16/01/2026 22:34

I like Kemi too. I hope she gets the chance to be PM.

BobbyBrewstersMagicTorch · 16/01/2026 22:58

Doesn't make me like her any more than I ever did. She's a vile individual who doesn't like being dictated to by another vile individual. Wankers the lot of them.

Pacificsunshine · 16/01/2026 23:13

Why do you think she is vile? I can understand having a different political opinion, but what has she done to be vile?

TheSlimmingFoodie · 16/01/2026 23:44

Playingvideogames · 15/01/2026 21:24

Please don’t vote for Reform.

I’m right of centre, I’m a conservative with a small ‘c’, but truly, Reform are snake oils salesmen and frankly traitors.

They have a cosy relationship with Russia, Farage refuses to acknowledge the mess Brexit has caused, they’ve backtracked on their sensible positions while going full throttle on their ludicrous ones. I don’t trust them at all, I think they’re a national security risk and would just preside over further carnage and corruption.

I’m going to vote Conservative probably.

This.

Well said!

Hollybollyhughes · 17/01/2026 00:47

What a sorry state of affairs if anyone truly believes that Reform with its random mix of failed Tories, Putin loyalists and Brexit promoters are really what this country needs. Farage can lecture about what's wrong with this country and gets support from the right wing press, but has no answers, just rhetoric. There is plenty of positives about the UK and I'm tired of hearing otherwise.
Farage even pretended he isn't racist and didn't know Nathan Gill. You can't trust him.
Well done Kemi for sacking someone who was leaving anyway. Pathetic bunch.

Lovely13 · 17/01/2026 00:55

I like Kemi. Strong on supporting women’s rights. Didnt’t get enough time when tories were in power to ban trans men invading women’s sports and spaces. A lovely voice, too, But she faces an uphill battle. Wish her power. 💪

You are referring to the Covid period TBF.

What about the glorious Labour government of the 70s when we had to go to the IMF and the entire country went on strike? Luckily the Conservatives sorted that out once Thatcher got in but Im pretty sure that the Labour government pre 1979 wasn't the best...

You are right, it was absolutely bloody awful. I remember it all too well, my father was suicidal, they wrecked him. All the power cuts were quite fun for child-me I suppose!

Letskeepcalm · 17/01/2026 05:24

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 15/01/2026 17:34

Also - re lots of ex Tory ministers "plugging the gap" to make up for Reform's woeful lack of experience... isn't part of the apparent appeal of Reform the fact that people want something different? It's looking increasingly like a refuge for disgraced Tories at the moment. Is that really what the electorate is looking for?

Sadly, yes
