Good on Kemi!

I'm no fan of Kemi Badenoch, but I'm even less of a fan of Robert Jenrick, and I'm rather delighted to see that she has sacked him and withdrawn the whip before he could jump to Reform.

She has definitely had the last laugh here. He must be spitting bullets!!

Anyone who liken Reform today to the Nazi's should be ashamed of themselves and is making points at a level so desperate I'm not going to respond any further to them.

Go and read some history books so you know what you are saying when you write this crap.

Seems like it’s you that needs to read a history book. There are very alarming parallels between Nazi ideology and that of Reform UK.

You can keep denying it if you like, that’s what they need you to keep doing.

Nope, to pretend no one knew is lying...

A pp dragged up Starmer uses rent boys, no condemnation of that.. how typical.

They rarely condemn when that rumour is dragged up by their fellow right wingers.

Unfortunately the word Nazi has been overused by the left which has now rendered it meaningless. As was predicted. The Boy who Cried Wolf.

Who has said Starmer uses rent boys on here?

I think (once again) it was only Alexandra.

Doesn’t make it any less true. I’ve stopped caring. Guess we will have to put up with it and find out.

This stuff is funny. But doesn’t work either. Are Labour doing well from it?

’Reform are the only real option left’ - what absolutely mindless tripe @Dragonflytamer.

Also, has anyone seen the re-brand that Farage’s former party UKIP have undergone this week? It very much echoes that of the Nazi regime. Just a reminder that there are plenty of former UKIP supporters who have followed Farage to Reform - let’s not be under any illusion about this and who they are. And just like the Tory rejects Jenrick, Zahawi, Gullis, etc., this former-UKIP crew haven’t undergone a political conversion, this is all about the gravy train and having more power.

This is the biggest pile of bullshit I read today. Re read those books you might understand them next time.

Not sure what you are on about? Why would what I write on MN have anything to do with Labour doing well?

You know what I have said is true about the airing of that rumour by certain posters. I don't think it is funny. It is vicious and could prejudice a trial. But you do you.

I meant your post, and the constant ‘lying right winger’ posts below. It’s not helping Labour.

Starmer sets the scene on that and goes up against the public, being against people constantly won’t help and you can see the impact in the polls each week.

BIossomtoes · 18/01/2026 10:21

Pineneedlesincarpet · 18/01/2026 09:58

So you decided to go one step further.

Come on. The boy is a kid. Just get your post deleted.

Also no one has said "Starmer uses rent boys". What's wrong with you?

Edited

You were the one who first mentioned rent boys.

I am not here to "help Labour". 🤣

I am here, like everyone else, to chew the fat on a rainy Sunday morning. Although obviously it might not be rainy for everyone.

You do want Labour to stay in though, oh well maybe they’ll be out given the growing dislike from just about everyone.

How do you know that’s what she wants? You make huge assumptions that anyone who disagrees with you is a dyed in the wool Labour voter. You do know there are three parties left of the Tories?

EasternStandard · 18/01/2026 10:33

If not even the most loyal on here want Labour then good luck to Starmer. I can’t say I care if that’s the case. The fewer the better.

@strawberrybubblegumiirc said Labour are the nasty party. That is increasingly felt by more each week. The constant combative stance isn’t working for them. Maybe they should try something else.

They probably will and maybe your man Farage will be PM. That's democracy.

Nice deviation from what we were actually discussing. I can understand why you wanted to get off the subject.

My sincere apologies. Your views so often seem to align with Farage's I thought you were a supporter. Especially given your defence of Eva Vlaardingerbroek on another thread.

No need to apologise it’s insincere. Maybe stop reaching too.

On your other post, you do seem a bit wound up with these responses, but it’s more this -

I think Labour generally have a problem with tone and rhetoric and working against people is clearly not doing it for them.

Only 11% approve, you can’t get in when the majority are in a we can’t stand you situation.

Last line re Labour. Also look to More in Common on level of loathing in focus groups, below.

BIossomtoes · 18/01/2026 10:46

The government doesn’t need to “get in”. It’s in and has another three and a half years in power. A lot can and will happen in that time.

Dragonflytamer · 18/01/2026 10:46

I think this country suffers a lot from the boiled frog syndrome of no one noticing gradual changes.

The impact of reform policy wouldn't even take welfare and immigration back to the time when Blair was in government. We spend twice as much on welfare now than we did when Blair was left office despite this following a decade of centre left policies. Reform aren't even proposing to go back to Blair levels of spend.

Reform would bring immigration back to a level consistent with what we saw under Blair before the Tories lost control.

Maybe Reform should brand themselves "The New New Labour (but without the illegal war mongering) Party".

That's what we are worried about. 3 more budgets of ever weird tax increases.
