I haven't seen the footage.
But apparently he threw his fist up and said fight fight fight.

Does it look like a normal reaction? Wouldn't you try and move away fast?

Do people think it's staged? Or is the world so strange now I'm just reading too much into it.

Just watch the footage to better inform opinion. It’ll be on YouTube or news sites. Lots of things are odd. People react differently to abnormal situations and surprises. It’s a funny old world. Doesn’t mean there’s a conspiracy behind it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think that, first, Trump unfortunately believes he's invulnerable - his whole life has illustrated that. Second, Trump is basically a showman, all about performance.

I didn't look at the footage as politics seems so stressful that I couldn't face it. It's clearly not staged. Politics is just so insane these days nothing makes much sense anymore. I truly fear for the world our kids are growing up in. Since 2016 all I've told my DD is awful things happening in politics.

I didn’t think the ‘ if I hadn’t turned my head at that moment’ comments were true. He was looking over his right shoulder quite a while before his ear was hurt.
I can’t believe he had nothing to do or say to the family of the poor man who was killed.

I remember the bombing of the Brighton Hotel when M Thatcher came out and spoke to journalists live on tv -that was impressive.

I think I was taught that the assassination of Arch-Duke Ferdinand was the act which triggered the War To End All Wars.
What about Hitler's rise to power in the 1920s/30s? Sane?

Tell DD that since 2016 the world had to deal with a pandemic and although many countries made mistakes they also learned from those mistakes and put some energy into finding vaccines and thereby saved lots of lives, too. That's a starter for half-decent things that have happened in politics.

I knew a woman who had a baby in 1942. I wonder what she thought about the world she was bringing her child into.

Can you now see how fake news and conspiracy theories start and how damaging they are.
