Trump has teased there will be a huge announcement at his rally in Ames, Iowa tonight. Special guest will be there.

Elites across the world are in panic, luvvies are having a lie down, Oxbridge is tuned in, PPES are petrified.

Will Palin endorse Trump? Is it game over for the Establishment?

No one knows. Elites are in meltdown and Trump fans are already doing the hokey-cokey.

I've just looked. No helicopters. Quite a few cranes though. Not sure if that is significant?

claig · 20/01/2016 13:30

'Quite a few cranes though'

Probably Trump building a tower or a wall.

Haven't rtft. Is claig being ironical, or are they.... Um. I suppose 'odd' is the most polite adjective I can come up with at this moment in time. Confused

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 20/01/2016 13:54

He gets everywhere!

unexpsoc · 20/01/2016 14:33

"What does Sur Alain Shugar think, though?"

Fuck all, probably. Lord Sugar, may however have a view.

Only posted to use quotation marks god somebody save me from work today

Lweji · 20/01/2016 14:46

Forgot he was a Lord now. So what could his lordship think now?

unexpsoc · 20/01/2016 15:35

Well, I think he might be miffed - Trump is basically a more successful version of Lord Sugar, and I get the impression (although I may be wrong) that Lord Sugar is very concerned with his own standing and reputation. i.e. he likes to be the "big-dog" in the room.

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 20/01/2016 16:50

I was pondering if Jeb Bush's wall would be a ha-ha.

Claig you were winning me over..
But then I recalled The Donald visiting the Isle of Lewis and declining the offer of a cuppa with his kinfolk!.not the act of an antielitist. (Didn't even go over the threshold.)

He needs lessons from Nicola Sturgeon on how to get along with us ordinary folk.

claig · 20/01/2016 17:15

'But then I recalled The Donald visiting the Isle of Lewis and declining the offer of a cuppa with his kinfolk!.not the act of an antielitist. (Didn't even go over the threshold.)'

Are you sure about that? I saw the picture of him with his cousins. His sister has been over loads of times and his mum used to go back and visit nearly every year.

Great stuff that he made it big in the Big Apple. His family on the Isle of Lewis must be very proud of him. He will be the next President of the United States and he is going to be a great one too - bring jobs back for Americans, save the working and middle classes and rebuild and make America great again.

It is a great story and it's not over yet!

You realise his dad was a very successful business man?
Who apparently refused to let his properties to non-whites.
Wikipedia is great.

DT didn't rise from nothing exactly.

claig · 20/01/2016 17:18

'He needs lessons from Nicola Sturgeon on how to get along with us ordinary folk.'

Builders, taxi drivers, plumbers, cleaning staff and everybody loves him. Nearly everybody has a good word to say about him personally. He has no airs and graces and can relate to ordinary people. He is not a snob, not arrogant and respects ordinary people. He loves people. He gets on with everyone apart from Alex Salmond and some of the political class and Establishment, but that is understandable when you look at some of that lot.

claig · 20/01/2016 17:20

'You realise his dad was a very successful business man? '

Yes, his dad made money in building and his granddad emigrated to America from Germany and made some money too. But that is the great American story. They were ordinary people who made it big in America. He loves Scotland because his mum was Scottish. He has never forgotten his roots and his respect for ordinary people.

OP posts:
claig · 20/01/2016 17:27

Just watch one of his debates or speeches. Nothing is scripted, no teenagers from Oxbridge write his speeches, he speaks like ordinary people and it is so refreshing to see him defeat the entire political class of lawyers, attorneys and barristers who he says are "all talk, no action" with a confidence borne of real success in the most dynamic city on earth, New York City.

The entire political class can't hold a candle to a genuine person like Trump and that is why the Republican voters have put him miles ahead of all the political snakes and smarmy charmers, bought and paid for by Wall Street, that he is running against.

So he's an immigrant, then?Grin

Lweji · 20/01/2016 17:30

Yes, but legal. And so have been his wives...
But blonde.

Nydj · 20/01/2016 17:33

And white. Don't forget they have all been white immigrants.

Nydj · 20/01/2016 17:33

Oh, and not Muslim.

claig · 20/01/2016 17:38

Here is a picture of him crossing the threshold of the house on the Isle of Lewis where his mother was born. The Mail knocks his hair, but Trump can take a joke. He has no airs and graces. He says his business will be peanuts to him if he becomes President. He will let his children run the business. He will run America and work for the American people, not for Wall Street, donors, lobbyists or special interests. No one can buy him.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1025243/Hair-raising-moment-billionaire-Donald-Trump-drops-visit-Scottish-relatives.html

This is what he tweeted to the Saudi Prince who tweeted that Trump was a disgrace to America.

"Dopey Prince @Alwaleed_Talal wants to control our U.S. politicians with daddy’s money. Can’t do it when I get elected. #Trump2016"

No one can buy Trump and that is why elites across the world are in panic.

EmpressOfTheVulvaCupcakes · 20/01/2016 17:50

Thanks, but there is no sleep for a true Trumpite yet. The live rally stream starts now and the hokey-cokey beckons.

This reassured me that Claig is having a laugh Grin

claig · 20/01/2016 17:55

'He was asked if he would have given up on his plans for the Aberdeenshire resort after they were initially rejected by the council had his mother not been from Scotland.

He said: 'I think probably I would have, yes.

'It is really easy to find a nice piece of land to do something nice on. But Scotland is special and I wanted to do something special for my mother.'

To see this class of "career politicians" insult someone who will become the next President of the United States is sad for our whole country. To see that class of nobodies who claimed bath plugs off the people debate in our great and historic Parliament banning him in our great free country which spread liberty and free speech across the world, is shameful.

An shows how memory can fray a little over time.

He went in mother's old house, visited some other cousins with a ruddy cheeked babe, photo shop outside, declined cup of tea, social gaffe.

That Stornaway breeze showed off his fine head of hair!

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 20/01/2016 18:05

Photo opp. Not photo shop!

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 20/01/2016 18:08

"Nothing is scripted."

Too right!

'declined cup of tea'

Maybe he doesn't like tea. I don't trust the media to tell the truth about him.

When he met the black pastors in America recently, reports say that he listened to all of their criticisms and answered all their questions and spent time after the long meeting for photographs with people who wanted them.

He is special. He is not like the political class. He is not a politician. It is no accident that he is leading the polls among Republicans when everyone from the New York Times to the BBC to the political class have called him a joke a and a clown.

We have never seen an election like this. We have never seen panic among the puppets like this. He is going to win.
