Russell Brand will release the full video of Milibrand today. Fantastic stuff.

Forget Dimbleby, forget Evan Davis and even forget Kay Burley, Russell Brand is the real deal. He is the one we want to watch (apart from Farage).

The trailer shows what we are likely to get - more mockney than in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels of Monkeys. Miliband looks like he no longer gives a monkeys, he's going flat out for it. His Oxbridge teenage advisers must have told him to watch the "characters" in Albert Square and make sure he drops as many aitches as he can, the public's "gotta" be done up like a kipper. There are more hand movements and "hell yeah" grimaces than Joe Pesci on steroids in Goodfellas, but these fellas ain't good, they're "bloody lively".

Ed is about to explain it to Russell and fortunately Russell stops him short and says let me say it in my own words, that'll be better. Better than predistribution, than predatry capitalism, than endogeneous growth theory? It doesn't get much better than that.

Can't wait for the full 20 minute video to be released. Forget the Labour Party political broadcasts with the usual list of luvvies, this is Russell Brand - a luvvie who still has some street cred - and the Oxford PPE egghead known as Red Ed. Will this finally put the election to bed?

Brand has cleverly got his UKIP video (which the Establishment must be very grateful for) up while the world eagerly awaits Miliband the Mockney and his wooing of the crowds as the mockney PPE tussles with the Rocket known as Rusty.

'Does anyone doubt the PM's ability to get the better of an incoherent babbler like Brand? '

Yes! I think even Cameron doubts it. It takes more than just being "bloody lively" to get the better of Brand. Only Farage can trounce Brand.

Brand - Labour's very own Rasputin

claig · 29/04/2015 13:01

Yep, Brand the Establishment's Useful Idiot and their Pied Piper. I think they want and need him to stop Farage and UKIP.

"At the time of writing, the trailer of Brand's interview with Miliband has reached over 200,000 views. The Labour Party's party political broadcast, also released on Tuesday evening, has just 15,000."

'could a Brand endorsement unlock the young vote for Labour?'

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/video/2015/apr/28/russell-brand-ed-miliband-labour-hugh-muir-zoe-williams-video

If Brand actually does come out and say as near as he can that Labour is the best party to vote for, that is bad news for the modernisers in the Conservative party.

If Brand does do something like that, then I have to hand it to the Oxbridge teenage team, they will have really pulled a rabbit out of the hat and it makes you wonder if it may have planned by the teenage whizzkids for many months now, with the bombshell news coming out one week before the election.

The whole BBC buildup of Brand with his appearances and hype to counter Farage will have had the Oxbridge team chuckling up their sleeves.

"ya gotta do it"

Ed morphing into Tony Soprano.

Ive become more and more impressed with ED in the past three weeks. Labour have my vote back.

claig · 29/04/2015 13:51

The video has been released. It's 15 minutes.

A must watch. It may decide the election, at least the teenage team hope so!

OP posts:
claig · 29/04/2015 13:53

Brand says that people think that "the elites have got their talons into the Tory party".

The teenage team love this type of stuff, no mention of their Oxbridge PPE Labour team. Brilliant stuff.

OP posts:
claig · 29/04/2015 14:01

Brand has to get in something about Farage, because he is the Establishment's greatest fear. He will upset their applecart. So he says to Ed this feeling that Farage tries to capitalise on about ordinary people not being listened to etc and Ed and Russell then laugh about Farage balancing a pint on his head.

The teenage team from Oxbridge are ecstatic. This is going better than even they could have planned.

OP posts:
claig · 29/04/2015 14:08

Miliband says "this is important, I'm not looking for euphoria"

The teenage team exchange worried glances, this is starting to sound like Ed believes the teenage team's own hype that they are paid to generate. Keep it real Ed, there'll be no flipping euphoria if you get in.

OP posts:
claig · 29/04/2015 14:16

Well, at least Brand doesn't endorse Miliband, so the modernisers in the Conservative Party got off lightly.

But the teenage team left Brand's house happy bunnies. They achieved their aim of pushing Ed's bland message of "Britain can be better". It can be if Farage gets in, but Ed, as usual, offered platitudes but little policy.

OP posts:
PenguinsAreAce · 29/04/2015 14:47

Like Clegg on The Last Leg, Miliband is trying to engage an audience Cameron hasn't stepped near with a barge pole. What matters is how it goes down with them, not MN (I doubt there is much overlap).

claig · 29/04/2015 14:56

You are right, it won't work. Brand's audience believe in elites running the show who are above politics just as Brand said to Ed, an Establishment of coverups and law cases dropped and documents shredded and Ed did nothing to convince them that he has the courage or guts to do anything about it.

Young people aren't stupid and Brand's audience certainly aren't which is why Labour are desperate to try and reach them in some way.

A spin job of Ed turning up late at night being bowled to underarm in full suit and tie won't cut it with Brand's audience. The teenage team have underestimated the public.

OP posts:
claig · 29/04/2015 14:59

If you notice in the video, even Brand couldn't handle some of Ed's bland spin answers and had to take to swigging from a large bottle of what looked like high proof alcohol on more than one occasion to keep his spirits up.

OP posts:
claig · 29/04/2015 15:05

Reading some of the comments of Brand's followers on youtube, one stood out above the rest for its truth and perspicacity.

"I'd love to see Russell interview farage"

"Farage would wreck him"

There's no fooling the young! They are switched on!

OP posts:
JazzAnnNonMouse · 30/04/2015 08:19

Brand is doing a politics weeks on trews, it's not about saying ed is good - he's interviewing the greens tomorrow.
I think his perspective of ukip is good - have you seen his video about the ukip party broadcast? Ukip is more establishment than all the other parties put together!

Erudite · 30/04/2015 08:22

Dear lord, that was excrutiating.

Has Ed lost the ability to enunciate?

claig · 30/04/2015 08:38

'Ukip is more establishment than all the other parties put together!'

I watched it but it is just the usual stuff. The argument he uses to show that UKIP is Establishment is that they want to abolish inheritance tax which will benefit the richest.

But I am not Establishment and i don't believe in inheritance tax as a matter of principle. Why should someone like Gordpn Brown and his band of Labour Oxbridge cronies, some with PPEs, get their hands on the wealth of rich people after they die when those people have paid tax on earned income all their lives? Why should someone like Gordon and the gang decide where that money will be spent - on things such as foreign aid or windfarm subsidies etc etc.

Why shouldn't people be allowed to pass their wealth onto their families? What business is it of the government to take a portion of that accumulated wealth?

It is a matter of principle. It is about the primacy of family over the state about family over lavish luvvies spending money that they never earned.

UKIP is the most working class party now, yet UKIP voters aren't interested in soaking the rich. But they want an end to corporate cronies and their luvvie pals in the metropolitan elite who stitch things up for themselves, award themselves expenses and impose minimum alcohol pricing levels on ordinary people.

OP posts:
claig · 30/04/2015 08:43

JazzAnnNonMouse, I like Brand, i think he is good. But unfortunately he is in with the luvvies. He, possibly unwittingly, helps their cause. He bashes Farage and UKIP and the luvvies laugh and the Oxbridge teams of advisers applaud, that's just what they want - anything to stop the real working class people's revolution.

OP posts:
JazzAnnNonMouse · 30/04/2015 08:49

I think you and I are on the same page re establishment but on totally different corners. You're v right wing and I'm v left wing.

claig · 30/04/2015 08:49

Labour is being wiped out in Scotland and UKIP will be Labour's main opponent in the old Labour heartland of the North of England. Are all those working class voters wrong or have they sussed what the Oxbridge Labour luvvie teams of millionaires are really all about and whom they really serve?

OP posts:
claig · 30/04/2015 08:54

'I think you and I are on the same page re establishment but on totally different corners.'

Yes, that is why we both like Brand. Brand is absolutely right that the country is run by elites who are above and beyond politics and the luvvies are just their servants. But Brand ignores the only real people's revolution and the real People's Army that will go some way to put the people in charge and plays a pie-in-the-sky pied piper pipedream role of pretending that his non-voting revolution will change things.

Brand helps the luvvies, not voting helps them. Farage will put a spanner in their wheel and that is why they are petrified of UKIP and use the media to try and denigrate the People's Army and the people's revolution.

Just been sucked into reading Farages wiki entry and hadn't realised he'd had a testical removed.

All that now comes to mind is that song from school "Hitler has only got one. .."

Odd Confused

claig · 30/04/2015 09:02

lordsandladies, Farage has had some major bad luck in life that has brought him close to death a few times. That is why he has courage and that is why he is unstoppable. He takes the luvvies on, he has no fear.
