it is apolitical in nature, but of course due to many recent initiatives by the recent govt, there will be rants against our current "leaders"

Do you know that it wasn't until I read this thread that I realised a bloke I know (I won't call him a friend, as he's clearly an abusive wanker) has been avoiding maintenance for years on the whole "oh, if I give you more it'll just get docked out your IS" line. He is utterly loaded as well.

Never mind, I think the RP is better off without him and his money tbh!

I also like the idea of a tab for Action of the week. It encourages people to come to the blog regularly and makes activism super easy for all.

never campaigns about the csa or how cuts effect them or childcare issues etc. feels a bit like even here on a predominantly female forum we are the undeserving or something.

I don't think that's true Santa. I think they do give a shit about single mums and mums and parents in general.

Some of the stuff they do is indirect and only just getting going (family friendly for example) but it is a start.

santa I feel a bit like that too. In RL I haven't met a single person who puts me down (I usually get "How on earth do you cope??!!! me "badly") but I suppose people don't campaign for things until they affect them personally .

Now take that out of minimum wage and it is actually costing you to work. And of course it is extra if the kids have special needs.

been busy trying to get my head around what cameron has done to us in europe with his 'veto' and hissy fit walk out and what the consequences look set to be and what it tells us about his priorities as a PM. not pretty. my brain is a bit worn out now though - global economics not my strong point.

it seems though that the spin and wish to appeal to the lowest common denominators of his party and supporters is not limited to fucking up those of us who need the welfare state but to our economy and trade too with massive consequences for businesses for a long time to come. he is very much the tory leader and friend to bankers over and above being britain's priminister it seems.

I think people have forgotten that it is not just tax paying earners and their wives, who can vote!

VAT paying, benefit recepients can vote also.
