PositiveAttitude · 07/06/2010 07:53

Good morning everyone.

Sooz - Really pleased you had a lovely few days away. Prayers for the exams and the stress that causes too. DD2 has AS level exams today nad tomorrow, DS has GCSE RE tomorrow, too, so hand hold together.

Mary - Sorry to hear your DS was poorly while away, pleased that DD had a good confidence building time, though.

BES - prayers for the coughing. Could it be an allergy/asthma? Thats how mine were with their asthma when babies.

MrsC - Always enough prayers to go around. Praying for your exams and that you feel relaxed and ready to face them. God will be there in the room with you.

Roslily - What fantastic news. Go ahead and keep shouting from the rooftops. Is your husband a Christian, if not, what a lovely witness to him. Prayers for you over the next few days and weeks, to grow and grow, but never to lose that wonderful feeling you had yesterday.

Hi to DO and TACP - how are you feeling now?

DH has another job interview on Thursday and has also been called for a second interview for another job, just waiting to hear when. He is applying for all sorts to see where GOd wants him to be. Prayers for that please. But thanks that we are both really at peace about the whole situation.

We are having our first ever family holiday abroad later on this month, to go to a wedding of DHs friend (DH is best man), its in Greece. Just bought my dress and am soooooo excited. (just wanted to share that with you)

Lulumaam · 07/06/2010 08:50

Good morning lovely ladies

Please may I ask you to add Baby E to your prayers, he is undergoing cranial surgery today, it is a long and complex surgery and we are all rooting for him. I was there at his birth am wanting very much for him and his family to come through this experience very positively.

thank you x

DutchOma · 07/06/2010 09:14

Lulumaam of course, prayers going to Almighty God for one of His tinies. Let us know how he's got on?

Soozi, the FairIsle is on its way after several false starts, I'll see if I can get a picture on Facebook sometime later.

PA Glad things are happening on the job front.

Lulumaam · 07/06/2010 10:27

thank you very much DutchOma, will certainly keep you posted

I will never ever forget the kind words from you all when my late grandmother was dying... x

madhairday · 07/06/2010 11:07

Lulumaam will certainly pray for Baby E.

MrsC - praying for your exams.

Roslily - that's fantastic. Love that feeling. Enjoy it

Sooz, glad you had such a good time away.

Mary, hope ds is soon better.

PA, will pray for dh and the interview.

How is everyone else. Apologies for being vague. I am very drugged up right now and not very with it. I would really, really appreciate prayer atm. These drugs are making me feel v tearful and edgy. Please pray I don't have to go into hospital. dh is ill today too - seems worse than manflu. We have a lot going on here this week spiritually so could do with some protection prayers if you could spare any. I am starting a discovering Christianity course on thursday with some school mum friends, I am pretty nervous but excited, and of course could do with some strength to do it!

DO I am on facebook, am on Mary's if you are?

BlueEyeshadow · 07/06/2010 13:04

PA - Yes, Ds2 has a "wheezy tendancy", which we're hoping and praying he'll grow out of before it turns into asthma. He has an inhaler for it, but hadn't been wheezing before Fri night so hadn't had it.

Bad night again last night but he's sometimes easier to settle which is something!

Please can you pray for my brother and a job. He should hear about one he wants in the next month or so.

Thanks.

Lulumaam · 07/06/2010 19:09

E has come round from 8+ hours of surgery.. looking good so far, next 24 - 48 hours are important, but so far, so good.. thank you for your prayers x

teaandcakeplease · 07/06/2010 19:11

Positive Attitude - Hello I'm ok, good days and bad days with emotions. Still desperately need H to get a job. On JSA he only has to give me £5 per week legally But once he gets a job he has to give me 20% of salary. This probably sounds awful but I need him to get a job as trying to make ends meet on income support is so hard. Divorce going through slowly still.

Potty training DD, getting better and she's doing well.

DS is becoming quite naughty and he's only 16 months! So hard work at home, but all fairly minor compared to some of you.

Sending up prayers for you all x

Hermya321 · 07/06/2010 19:53

Oh my gosh!! This kid is not even nearly born yet and it's already causing me trouble.

I was at work today and (sorry if it's TMI) I went to the loo and I discovered to my horror that I'd started bleeding.

Que a mad rush to the hospital for an emergency scan, I had a two hour wait for an emergency scan and once I was in they gave me a quickie scan. All seemed to be ok, but it turns out I've got a low lying placenta and that means that they can bleed sometimes for no particular reason. I've got my 20 week scan tomorrow so I should be able to chat to them there and find out what it all means for me and LO.

All the while LO was just in there floating away without a care in the blinking world. I am very very very grateful that everything is ok. But I'm just getting tired of it being one thing or another with this pregnancy.

However God is very good and I know he has this LO in his hands. I can't wait to meet them in October.

I'm praying for you all!

Also I'm about 75% sure that I saw what looked like boy type bits when they were scanning me. I'm going to ask again tomorrow, but I talked to DH who was with me and he said he saw the same thing.

DutchOma · 07/06/2010 20:30

Just take it easy Hermya. Never mind the baby not being born, its blanket is not even cast on

DutchOma · 07/06/2010 20:32

Thanks for the message about baby E* Lulumaam How old is he?

Lulumaam · 07/06/2010 21:00

12 months. all looking ok so far
thank you so much

hermya.. re the low lying placenta, it can cause bleeding, but usually it will settle..after tomorrow you will have more of an idea after your scan, placenta previa, as it is known, will be graded according to severity.. e.g a placenta totally covering the internal os of the cervix will require totally different management than one that is just touching hte internal os

very often , as your uterus grows, the placenta 'moves' up and away from the cervix
all the best to you x

DutchOma · 07/06/2010 21:34

I have good news about baby Morgan:- he is now back at our local hospital.
Please keep praying that he can soon go 'home' home, so that they can begin to be a real family and Kathy can be a doting gran.

madhairday · 08/06/2010 11:02

That's great news DO

Really pleased about baby E as well Lulu.

Hermya - praying for you. take it easy now.

Just been to my gp and have to go into hospital for IV antibitoics I'm afraid - will be in up to a fortnight which is gutting. Too mnay nasty bugs in my lungs they have to blitz. At my last hospital I was trained to administer them myself at home but they don't do that here....hmmm, may have a battle on my hands, something to occupy me anyway possibly? It's all to do with funding and politics - but as I see it I'm taking up a hospital bed, that costs thousands in itself, would be much better off at home.....grrrrr. But I'm trying to think positively, about getting better for the summer.

MaryBS · 08/06/2010 11:54

Praying for good health for you MHD, and for some sense in your treatment.

Fantastic about baby Morgan, and praying for continued improvement. Praying also for baby E.

Praying for you Hermya, and your little one.

TACP, praying for all you're having to cope with. How are you feeling about H now, if you don't mind me asking?

BES praying for DS2 and for a GOOD job for your brother

PA - praying for your's and your DH's faith in God's providence and the continuing search for a job, and have a WONDERFUL holiday, how exciting!

Mrs C, praying for the exams, that all are going well, and that you can feel the Holy Spirit's presence with you (and hopefully feeding you answers )

Please pray for Liam. He is 18 tomorrow, so I guess that makes him an adult in the eyes of the law. I don't hear much about him, afaik he is still in a home with other boys in the same situation, but I don't know if that changes once he turns 18 - I guess it probably will, especially with all these CRB regs about under/over 18s... I bought him a St Christopher today, in the shape of a dog tag - I'm hoping its "cool" enough for him to want to wear, I went into the Cathedral afterwards and while I was there, asked the duty chaplain to bless it (sort of an impromptu idea. Bless him, I think he was too low church to have a clue about blessing it, but he said a nice prayer for Liam).

PositiveAttitude · 08/06/2010 14:59

Hi everyone, Just flying past and praying for you all.

Yesterday I was driving back from work praying for you all and I had to giggle to myself as I was praying through. It struck me how God must chuckle away at our prayers, there I was praying for "madhairday", "sooz", BlueEyeshadow", "DO" TACP" Captain, etc. Just struck me as fairly commical .

16th birthday celebrations here for DD3, although she is struggling to cope today and I am struggling to keep my patience with her.

DutchOma · 08/06/2010 16:48

Yes, I think that God often chuckles at our trying to hide our names and identities.
A lot of girls being sixteen today and yesterday, that's four I know.
May the Lord bless them and keep them.

MrsCadwallader · 08/06/2010 17:23

Just bouncing in to thank you for your prayers. 2 exams down, 2 more to go. Yesterday's was fine, I felt quite happy with the paper. Today was ok - I knew it wasn't going to be brilliant so I'm not going to stew over it not being 'perfect'!

Third exam is tomorrow and I'm getting quite tired now but I get a break on Thursday before the last exam on Friday morning.

Apologies for not having the mental energy for much prayer this week I promise I will make up for it next week

Hope everyone is ok.

Hermya321 · 08/06/2010 18:25

Hello there!!

Well I went for my twenty week scan and everything seems to be ok. It is most definately a little boy, it was litterally the first thing we saw on the scan.

Regarding the placenta, it doesn't seem to be covering the exit but they're going to do another scan at 32 weeks to make sure. Actually they couldn't agree as to where the placenta was so who knows .

Buy yeah, everything was all present and correct and seems to be pretty on track.

Can't wait to meet my little boy!!

Thank you for your prayers!!

madhairday · 08/06/2010 20:28

That's brilliant Hermya So glad.
Mrs C, glad the exams are going well.

Still waiting to hear from the hospital - have to wait for a bed to come free now so it could be days - just want to get it all over with now, hate waiting.

teaandcakeplease · 08/06/2010 21:10

I'm ok Mary, as long as I don't delve too deeply into the pain and what he's done. IYSWIM?

I don't miss living with him anymore and actually like being here alone with the DCs, which probably sounds strange? But I do like him to spend time with them and we do something family related together at least twice a week. Which DD loves. I'm always kind to him with the grace of God, so the children don't pick up any dodgy vibes. Its strange, still care about him as a friend/ mother almost but certainly don't want to rekindle things anymore. Not sure when that went away but it did. I'm happy without him now.

Congrats on the boy Hermya and glad all was well today at scan

Really hope a bed comes free for you soon MHD

Praying for what's listed here when I have a mo x

DutchOma · 08/06/2010 21:54

Congratulations Hermya on your little boy.
Prayers for Mrs C and her exams and for MHD for a bed to become available so things can be sorted out. Hope you are not feeling too awful.

BlueEyeshadow · 09/06/2010 11:16

PA - I know what you mean, it makes me laugh sometimes too.

Another couple of prayers for wisdom would be good.

Me, me, me first, but the one with a deadline! I need to send an e-mail on a slightly tricky business issue this afternoon or tomorrow and need to phrase it right! Don't want to sound too stroppy or too tentative and need to get the nuances right in German.

Also, my BIL's love life has got very complicated again and he needs a major dose of wisdom pretty fast too.

Praying for all here.
